An Average Institute

NIET is in top 20 colleges of UPTU. It's an average college and if you are good in academics for sure you will get benefit from here. Following are the plus Points of this college- Good academic environment and discipline. Everything run systematically. Labs are there for all the practicals activity , u might not do something exceptional there but u will get chance to know about basic engineering practicals. All the faculties are not highly qualified but u will find a bunch of professors whom you can consider as role model. Some IITians are also there in faculty. Placement activities are good and try to guide students before placement season on interview process and preparation.I got benefit from this program. Following are negative points- Mostly software and IT companies visit for campus placement. So don't think that mechanical or electrical students will get jobs in core company. Environment is like typical private college so don't think any innovation kind of activities there. If you have that capability to do something innovative , u might get support. Only 25% of placed student have good package and job others just get a jab for namesake. Even some BPO companies will also participate in placement activities. Overall if your rank is average in entrance exam and you are looking for best in worst then you can choose NIET.

About NIET, located far from the rush and traffic of the NCR region. Located in the heart of the city, Greater Noida , the has two campuses together covering an area more than 4 lakh sq feet. Infrastructure at NIET is carefully developed in response to student and faculty needs to ensure that there are no boundaries between the discovery, transfer and application of knowledge. The campuses incorporate infrastructure that matches the best in the country - ensuring that students have everything they need for a rich, stimulating campus life. The classrooms(though not fully air-conditioned) are planned to maximize light and space and students have access to the latest computing and research facilities. TEACHING STAFF : The college has tried to maintain the level of education by only appointing experienced and highly qualified faculty. Sometimes you might feel the faculty is giving too many assignments ( compulsory to submit) but at the end of the day its for your betterment and check your knowledge. The professors are kind of strict and sometimes orthodox too. The college timings are 9:30 am to 5:00 pm in which they will only spare you for a lunch duration of 45 min. The college keeps a strict provision so that the classes cannot be bunked or interrupted. The staff is not at all lenient with the studies and even keeps a provision for the extra classes for those who fail to score good or are unable to attend the classes. So, these college hours can go till 6:30. Thus, to score good the college staff is all you have to trust on. LABORATORIES : The campus has well equipped labs but sometimes the apparatus or the resources are not functioning properly at the desired time. But for that the students manage to do the settlements. PLACEMENT DEPARTMENT : This is the best what you get to work with in the college. The department does every possible way to shape the career of all its students. The college has a Pyramid finishing school which looks into the proper training and orientation of students who are about to enter into the corporate world. Within this training you will have the faculty from career launcher to shape up your aptitude ( for which no additional charges are to be paid ) and well experienced Hr from different companies. This is not all we have separate language classes as well covering java, python, etc . Recently, the college has managed to establish collaboration with iota cell, Bangalore which conduct proper classes during your summer vacation teaching you about embedded systems, big data, internet of things, cloud computing, android application development. And what is most exciting that you need not pay anything extra. But the college also imposes fine if any of the training class is skipped. so it becomes mandatory for all to attend. LIBRARY : The library at the campus if big enough and has enough books and material to help all the students. The library also issues the necessary study material and books to each and every student for each semester. RAGGING SAFE : The college has an anti-ragging cell. The management keeps a strict eye on any sort of mischievous activities. To help the students grow and excel in ragging free environment the campus for the first year students is totally separately located. Located at few meters, the new campus is totally dedicated for the first year students and no outsiders and allowed for even the seniors to enter a proper record is maintained. HOSTEL : As stated earlier the college has two campus in which separate hostel accommodation available. The first year boys hostel in only available in the new campus for the rest the hostel is within the main campus. The hostel is pure vegetarian and no other means of cooking is allowed. The hostel just offers you with the bed, mattress, chair, table only. But if you want you can keep your coolers by paying some extra charges. The hostel can accommodate a strength of around 1000 boys and 400 girls. So, the availability is purely on first come first serve basis. The food might not be mouth ravishing but is still better than what you get in nearby locality. The hostel staff is very strict about the hostel entry hours. The girls sometimes feel captivated as for every time to go outside campus they need to get a gatepass. SPORTS FACILITY : This is the only measure where the campus lacks its commitment. There are only a few provision for the indoor games and outdoor sports. Gym is available in the campus. At the end only the thing which i want to say that "Think Placements Think NIET".

I did my MBA from NIET, Greater Noida. Its been good experience. Good Infrastructure, Good Facilities. Placement cell was too good, most of my class-mates got placement from the college. When I finished, there were some new course about to introduced. Since my graduation, I haven't got the chance to re-visit my college.

I chose niet To fullfill my dream to become a good engineer. Currently, I'm a 1st-year BTech student in niet really it become too difficult for me to survive in the niet campus even the faculty is really bad. In this college, only the students get only bookish knowledge. Even the faculty is not helpful to the students. they even taunt to the student that the marks of internal are in our hand. the worse thing is that one day I went to collage library. I asked for NK bali (this is the book for mathematics) the faculty in the library replied me in a very rude manner that the book is already issued but I can clearly seen the book in the book self .so I would never recommend someone to take admission in this college. I advise the students to go any college of ip . All are affordable as well as quite good.

Many of my professors are not well-versed and passionate about their subjects they teach and are still working in the field, so they are not able to provide very relevant information and useful contacts. ROI of this college is very good for which one can prefer this college to other colleges present in the same league. Faculties are highly. there are freedom and less tuition fees

A college away from your city teaches you to handle life and people around you. A college in knowledge park, greater Noida , however, provides the flexibility to get a job in an MC for every average student. In case you feel you have better options in your city or around, please go for them.

Not the best but still amongst one of the good colleges

During my tenure in college, it went through various changes mostly good. The infrastructure improved, the placements got better and it started to offer wide variety of courses like pgdm, mca, bpharma, mpharma, btech, etc. The hostels are in campus and strict regulations are maintained that boys and girls don't enter each other's hostel. Stingent rules are applicable on every girl who wishes to go out of the college, she is supposed to get the outpass signed by warden which is then cerified at main gate. The office staff is quite helpful, recently they helped me to get my character certificate and degree certificate quite easily. Food is same as other hostels. Labs are good where you can learn a lot if you are genuinely interested and the library is also welllept. The college has recently won many awards for its performance and a new campus is also set up. All in all it is a good college as compared to othersin UPTU.

My experience in the college was not delightful, yet above average. The infrastructure especially the laboratories are good. Dedicated courses towards the end of course to nurture the overall personality of a student has shown good placement results. The faculty is experienced and possess the content knowledge, lacks communication skills, though. Placement committee has done a good job in the past few years.

The college was above average is the size and the facilities were quite okay w.r.t the colleges of the same cadre. The college had quite basic facilities including sports, library, and laboratory. Tech fest named "EBULLIENCE" was conducted every year including various Robotics based events and competitions. Placement assistance was at par and was assisted by the Placement cell. College life was also fun with separate hostels for boys and girls near to the campus which was not compulsory to be taken. Student crowd had great diversity with students coming from other regions of the country. Overall had an average experience in Engineering, Would recommend the college for sure.

I got my placement from college along with 300+ more students who got jobs in their hand by the time of final examination. The placement department is helping and cooperative when it comes to placement.

NIET stands as one of the most reputed colleges in the Greater Noida region and in the university. NIET has always proven to be a great college academically. The college which is run by academicians and doctors has the strict policy of keeping academics and discipline at the utmost priority so as to stand reputed in the university rankings thus making it academically over stressed, which sometimes results in making the students feel as if they are in school. There exist a structure and province of extra-curricular and sports activities and NIET students constantly perform well in the inter-college fests. NIET is the only college in Greater Noida to have chemical engineering as a branch. The college also has a tie up with the prestigious University of Plymouth U.K. There are 2 campuses of the college out of which one is exclusively for the 1st year, build to avoid ragging. The main campus of NIET legs aesthetically but has some of the best labs in the university. Placement records of NIET touch the sky, which adds to the quality of the institution. The college also has a civil service. Coaching academy and a finishing school which are one of their kinds.

Location: Noida Institute of Engineering Technology (NIET) is located in Knowledge Park 2 area of Greater Noida. It is quite inaccessible for those travelling from Delhi. The nearest metro station would be Noida sector 18 on the Blue line, which is about 40 minutes bus ride from the college. Those travelling from Noida and Ghaziabad opt for private buses, which drop you at Pari Chowk which is another 5 minutes’ walk from the college. However, most people prefer to stay as a PG in areas nearby the college, which is a wise thing to do, considering it may take as much as 2 hours of travelling one way. Infrastructure: The first year sit in the diploma college which is adjacent to NIET. Second year onwards students use the NIET campus which is very good in terms of infrastructure. There are 2 buildings in the campus and various departments are divided into these buildings. Although the classrooms are not air-conditioned, all other facilities like comfortable seats, projectors and white boards are there in excellent condition. There’s wifi connectivity all over the campus which you can freely use from your laptops or mobiles. There are a lot of books in the library and the seating arrangement also very good. College has hostels for boys as well as girls, charges for which are Rs 45,000 a year inclusive of mess food. AC rooms are also available which students usually prefer to take on sharing basis. The hostels are well maintained and most of the students prefer to stay in the college hostels. Courses offered under UPTU: B.Tech B.Pharm M.Tech M.Pharm MBA MCA Fees: Rs. 1,04,000/- per year for the first year which includes caution amount as deposit, a post which it is Rs 83,000. Faculty: NIET has average faculties. Although many of them are qualified and experienced, they either don’t know the subjects themselves or don’t know how to properly express themselves. Still majority of students are satisfied with the teachers as they’re really very co-operative and friendly when it comes to solving their doubts. But they are equally strict and make sure each and every student studies hard. Attendance: The UPTU norm for attendance is 75% and college also follows it strictly. Of course, if you fall 2% or 3% short, no harsh action will be taken. But in general, they’re pretty strict about it, and various actions can be taken against you ranging from deducting your internal marks to giving a year back. Crowd: There’s a lively crowd in this college and people like to socialise. Students generally belong to Delhi, NCR, UP and Bihar. Hangouts: Ansal plaza is the favourite hangout of all the students studying in Greater Noida colleges, which is true for this college too. Apart from that, there are a few roadside stalls where you can have Maggi, omelette, tea/coffee and ice-creams. There’s also a unique, secret place the terrace of their building where students like to sit for hours chilling with friends. Canteen: Canteen is extremely small; still there is a variety of tasty food served here. Students take this food and eat it sitting on the huge lawn. The prices are affordable. There’s only one thing that student find lacking which is the sweets and chocolates. Festivals: There are no festivals in this college. Students say that “college management doesn’t believe in celebrations, they only like the students to study, give an exam, then study again, and so on”. Placements: NIET is among few good colleges in Greater Noida and provides good placements. Statistics say that they have 100% placements and the average salary students get is around 3.5 lakh rupees. Computer Science and IT branches have better placements than the rest. Wipro, TCS and Infosys are regular recruiters here. So overall college gets good companies but it’s up to an individual how to make the best out of the opportunity.

Now I am studying in 2nd year so I do not know everything about it. But then also, the faculty over here is very good. They encourage the student and help then in making their project. Infrastructure is average. Placement is excellent in the college. Many companies come and placed the student. In sports also, college is average it is not that much is encourage by the faculties. The Cultural fest is never organized in the college only tech and sports fest are organized in college that too is not that good. Overall this college is very good in studying atmosphere and placement and average in another field.
