Hi Sethupathi,

PSG college in Coimbatore, is offered by Anna University and approved by AICTE. In the branch of Mechanical Engineering, there are 120 seats. This is for normal Mechanical Engineering. PSG also offers a special branch of Mechanical Engineering called Mechanical Engineering Sandwich which extends for 5 years. This branch has 60 seats. All these seats are filled through Anna University counselling.

The fee structure for Mechanical Engineering in PSG college is,

Mechanical Engineering - 4 years - 120 seats - 86.52K

Mechanical Engineering Sandwich - 5 years - 60 seats - 2.95 Lakhs

All the Best.

Hi Sukruth,

I'm here to help you regarding your query. Firstly PSG College of technology, Coimbatore is an Anna University affiliated college. So, you cannot get an admission here through JEE Mains, if you are a Tamil Nadu resident, then you can seek for admission through your TNEA counselling based  on your cut-off. Now, dont worry, but you can joun in PSG through management quota seat which is highly expensive as per my knowledge. So, you can refer them and proceed accordingly.

All the very best !!

Hey, You have scored 82% in PCM and Your JEE MAINS Percentile is 73.16. Your rank in OBC is 107995 and this will be really helpful to you while getting seats in any Government Funding Technical Institute (GFTI) and you can apply in PSG College of technology but there are very fewer chances of yours being selected there as your rank in OBC is even quite low. You might get a seat in the last round but that would be very difficult. but at this rank, you can get very good colleges too. You can check your colleges at JEE MAINS college predictor and you will get the list of colleges in which you can get a seat and you can choose the best one for you.

If you want admission in other colleges on the basis of JEE Mains Marks you can choose JEE MAIN PREDICTOR as being provided by Careers 360 only at a very nominal price. You will be provided with all the details of the colleges with the best branch. You can use that it is really very good and you can check and explore various colleges and choose the best college.

Hello student,
You have not mentioned which category you belong to. But with a cut off score of 176.5, being honest, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the PSG college of technology, when comparing the results of previous years. Since PSG college of technology is ranked among the top five colleges affiliated under Anna University, only a cut off of something which is not less than 198 could fetch one a seat there. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats, by which nothing can be predicted for sure. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection

Good luck

Hello student,
With a score of 383 for 600, to be honest, there are no chances for general IT in PSG college of technology, unless you go for management quota. For admissions through TNEA and since PSG college of technology is ranked among the top five colleges affiliated under Anna University , a cut off score of something which is not less than 198 would be required for OC and BC category, which eventually means a score of 575 or above for a total of 600. However, you can approach through management quota, but that costs a lot comparing to other colleges.
Hope this helped. Good luck

Hello student,
One thing to understand is that PSG college of technology does not accept admissions based on the marks scored in JEE main examination. To procure a seat there, One must first apply for the TNEA counseling. Before that, there are certain eligibility criteria which one must adhere to. Since you are a non resident of Tamilnadu, please go through the following link to check the eligibility and other important dates for TNEA.

Good luck

College Infrastructure

Yes, our college had all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. Cleaners are cleaned routinely in the classroom, laboratories, libraries, sports centers, and hostels so they are well-maintained. Yes, the living spaces are clean, and the food is also very hygienic. They have maintained notes for reviewing food.

Loved being a part of this college, nice environment.

College Infrastructure

Our college is one of the most reputed college in the coimbatore district. Well know for its infrastructure. Has one of the biggest auditorium. Classrooms are neat and has all facilities. Laboratories are well equipped and maintained.

Not that good for mechanical engineering.

College Infrastructure

Very poor tbh, there were only few buildings and mostly they were old. No WiFi, and restrooms are placed randomly. There are no seperate blocks for each department. We have to search for the classrooms.
