Yes my college has all the necessary infrastructure like classrooms, practical labs, sports fields and convocation hall etc. The class rooms are well maintained with benches and projectors for better understanding and visualisation of concepts.
I am pursuing computer science engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai. Vit provides quality of teaching is at par with any premier institute.Professors give every individual an equivalent attention.
VIT provides good placement opportunities for all the branches. The highest package that was offered was 44 LPA by Microsoft to the CSE department.Almost all of the students got good packages and were placed in the top companies. The average salary was 8-10 LPA offered.
All the courses in VIT are worth the money spent. The placements in VIT are good enough. You get to learn a lot about different subjects, get yourself involved in clubs and most importantly get to know people with similar interest.
There are many clubs and societies one can be a part of.The staff is friendly with the students. Also, the university is in a good location. The university also provides good infrastructure and advanced laboratories.
Yes My college has got all the necessary infrastructure . It is provided with all the equipment and tools that helps an individual to explore technical aspects of college and career. There is a huge ac library and swimming pool
Overall teaching is decent and you can learn more from friends than faculties. It had got good set of teachers that are filled with good potential and helps an individual to achieve their goal easily .
Placement is one things that kept in my mind while taking admission. More than 400 companies visit our college . The average package went to 8 lakhs for cse per annum . And the highest package was offered by microsoft .
I got category 3 and my fees per annum is 4 lakhs . Since after all your labour matters. When u will take admission u will get to know about on basis of your rank .So I will say it is worth for money .
campus life is amazing at vit you can play and study as well.
Yes my college has got enough and potential infrastructure . It has got huge library consisting of wide range and variety of books and research papers . Next it has got game room that has variety of playing equipment and medical facilities provided with good caretaker .
It has got some good bunch of young teachers and set of experience teachers . Teachers sre very attractive and ready to help anytime . Yes curriculum is updated after every semester but as a student we feel pressure for exams .
Placement was one m aspects which every vitians keep in their mind. For Last 5 yrs my college has got tremendous placement ranging from 10 lakhs per annum to fourty two lakhs per annum which we called as super dream offer.
As a student you don't have to keep these stuff in your mind . Once you are clear in your ambition automatically you will prove your worth .
My college has got some good eatery places where we can hang over with our friends during holidays . Next it has got big area grounds for games like cricket and football . So overall campus life is good .
The college is infrastructure is really good. It's new and looks beautiful. The Library is too good and labs are new and we'll equipped. The hostel has good wifi with upto 50 GB free usage. Food is decent and it's green and clean campus.
Academics is good. The fact is it sometimes becomes over burden for the student to cope up with. There are lots of assignments quizzes and internal exams which really makes difficult to develop new skill sets. Faculties are good and help when have doubt.
Placements is something good in VIT with average package of 8.5 Lacs per annum for CSE students and 5-7 LPA for other branches. VIT has a specialized department called PAT Cell which helps you in the placement drive.
It totally depends upon the category you get in. It's good if you get upto category 3 for CSE else it might be waste as you won't get return on investment. My course fee per year is 4 lakhs. I won't say completely worth it but good since other private colleges too offer this much.
Campus Life is a tough task in VIT. It's full of restrictions. Every single thing you do you need permission. In-time of 6 pm is what nobody likes since theory classes goes upto 5:30-5:45. College is too strict with its rules.
yes , my college has got all the necessary and ample infrastructure that helps an individual to overcome all his career. The labs and hostels are newly constructed and well equipped . It is a green campus.
It has got some good group of teachers that are filled good potential that helps an individual to complete their ambitions .Moreover they are very responsible and attractive in nature . Faculties are supportive.
More than 300 companies visited our campus for last 5 years and we broke placement record .Average package is around 8-10 lakh per annum and highest package is 40 lakhs per annum that we called it as super dream package.
As a student while studying you don't have to think about it. Because after all your labours matters. Moreover you will get to know about your academic fee on basis of your viteee rank. So once you will grab your opportunity it's worth for money.
Campus life is very different from the image we have created in our minds, but it's decent and pretty disciplined so your parents don't need to worry.
Yes my college has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities which are state of the art. Considerably our campus is newly developed and thus all the admin buildings and classrooms our well constructed and maintained. All the laboratories are new and maintained properly.
I am currently my bachelor degree in Computer Science Engineering. The quality of teaching is quite good but not that great as all the faculties simply read the Ppt's but also clear doubts and concepts when one has a problem.I think Curriculum is well updated according to the recent trends in my field of study and i think the curriculum makes my job-ready with providing all the required technical skills and soft skills.
The placements have been really appreciable by considering the fact that we are in a pandemic situation. In my college approximately all the students have been placed in good companies with good pay package. The highest salary offered was 44 lpa by Microsoft to the CSE department. The average salary offered was 8-10 lpa.The placement process was easy and comfortable and the PAT CELL in our college really helped us in our placement process.
My course costs nearly 2 lacs per annum excluding hostel fees.I feel that its worth the money spent but not quite to the optimum. Our college encourages category system which is roughly that you can get any course of your choice by paying extra money which is not at all a healthy approach as it reduces the transperancy and the merit based criteria of the college.
The college campus is quite vivid with cafeterias and shopping marts where students can buy all required necessary items. We also have a canteen which is multi cuisine and a well developed gymnasium with all modern equipment. Students can engage in numerous activities ranging from sports, dance to various competitions like hackathons and project expo.
Yes, the college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments .The labs and classes are newly constructed. VIT is know for its green campus and it is well maintained and is hygienic.
I am currently pursuing computer science and engineering from this college, the academics focuses more on the core subjects, they take a lot of assignments and exams, faculties help in clearing doubts and well versed in their subject.
Placement is quite decent in VIT. The average package is 6-7 lakh per annum and for cse it is about 8-9 lakhs per annum which is quite good, the highest package offered is around 44 lakh per annum by microsoft.
It depends on the category you take admission in. I think the first two categories are justified but if you have money you can opt for the course you want.
Campus life is very different from the image we have created in our minds, but it's decent and pretty disciplined so your parents don't need to worry.
Since our college is relatively new, the college administration is trying its best to provide the maximum facilities they can provide while maintaining the student's welfare. The classrooms and labs are new and maintained.
I'm studying B-Tech Computer Science and Engineering because I have an interest in this field. Most of the faculties are PhD holders and have knowledge of their respective subjects. The faculties also help the student with doubt-clearing sessions.
Placement in VIT is decent, providing an average package of 8lacs per annum with a maximum package going up to 40-44lacs per annum. The college provides the on-campus placement to most of the student who sits in the campus placement program(MME).
VIT provides its students with a category system, which is based on the rank you achieved in the entrance examination of VIT(VITEEE) ranging from category 1 to 5. Since I was a part of category 1, my fees was 2lacs per annum so I consider it as well worth my money.
There are too many rules and regulations applied to the student body. The campus in time is very early as the students cannot do much after the classes are over(after class and in time is only 25 mins). But since our campus is relatively new, they are providing the best facilities they can to the students regarding their wellbeing, for example, new hostels, new laboratory, and new hangout spots.
the infrastructure of the college is quite good , it has all the basic facilities.it has gym food court , the labs are well equipted ,its a green campus with lots of eateries to savour good food. it has good gaming facilities.
i am studying btech computer science engineering . i am in my 3rd year of studies. by now what i have observer is faculty are thorough with subjects but not good while clearing doubts . not very punctual when it comes to students needs.
the placement is decent in my college .the average placement for computer science engineering is around 8 lacs per annum. the highest package was given to ace student by microsoft which was around 44 lacs per annum.
the infrastructure in the college is worth the money and the oppurtuinities also but in academics not so worthy. hostel food is also not worth the money . veg mess is ok to say but other mess i.e non-veg and special are not quite worth it
campus life is not so good in vit . there are many rules and regulations to be followed and it sometimes things very hectic and problematic for us.
College Infrastucture is quiet good. And its quiet beautiful. VIT is known for its green campus. The labs are new and well-equiped. The hostel are hygienic and clean and it is well maintained by the authorities.
Quality of teaching is decent. The workload is very high and sometimes it becomes hectic to cope up with the academics. Facilities are good and friendly and they clear all the doubts. The curriculum is updated.
When it comes to placement, our college has very good track record when it comes to the average package. The average package is near about 6 - 7 lakhs per annum. The highest package till date is 42 lakhs per annum offered by microsoft.
It actually depends on your rank as per VITEEE. Because this rank will decide which category you will get for a particular branch in VIT University while counselling. Since I got category 1 in ECE so my fees is 2 LPA which I consider to be worth it.
I can't give overall experience of my college life since I haven't spend even 1 year in campus due to lockdown. But my 10 months experience was quite good. Students are very friendly and especially the seniors. Its a ragging free campus.
Hello Aspirant,
Pursuing a CSE branch (like AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity etc.) at VIT Chennai with a 74,000 VITEEE rank is unlikely in the first few rounds as these branches have high demand and close in the earlier round around the top 30,000 - 50,000 ranks typically. Your chances could improve in later rounds or through a Category Upgrade, depending on the availability of seats and cut-off trends for the current year. Keep an eye on the official updates for the counselling and also on the other campuses or check for other branches like IT or core CSE which you might be open to. VITEEE cutoff 2025
Hello Alok,
After uploading your admit card and marksheet on the VIT Chennai portal, the next step like uploading your ID photo usually appears within a few hours to a couple of days.
The exact time can vary depending on the admission portal’s processing and verification. Sometimes, the portal updates in batches, so you might need to wait 1 to 3 days for the next option to become visible.
If the ID photo upload option does not appear even after 3 days, it is advisable to contact VIT Chennai’s admission helpdesk for assistance.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
