IIT Jodhpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

A total of 236 rooms are individually available for boys. And a typical hostel room is 80sqft. in area, with air conditioning and basic furniture. Lounges, gymnasium, reading room, and music rooms are also provided in the hostel building.

A primary health centre with 24/7 ambulance and emergency services is available for IIT Jodhpur campus residents. With an ISO 9001:2005 certified health centre and OPD, IIT Jodhpur also has an empanelment with renowned hospitals. 

IIT Jodhpur's library supports the institute's teaching and research activities with a rich collection of 12,000+ volumes of textbooks, reference, and general books. The IIT Jodhpur community can select from a compilation of scholarly databases and journals subscribed from various sources for the Institute’s academic and research purposes.

IIT Jodhpur facilities include sports. The institute has facilities for cricket, football, basketball, lawn tennis, badminton, volleyball, etc. And a fully equipped gymnasium for gymnastics and athletics.

A gigabit LAN with 1GBps internet bandwidth supports the Computer Centre at IIT Jodhpur. Students can access different licensed software, like MATLAB, Cadence, Mathematics, etc. using the various terminals running on the GNU/Linux and windows operating systems across the campus. The institute also has five resources at the centre and various licensed application software, used for multiple purposes. And both the academic and residential campuses have Wi-Fi connectivity.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. IIT Jodhpur has a three-storied dining hall, which spans two floors and caters to 1000+ students at a time. They also have separate kitchens for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food preparation. 

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.

The Alumni of IIT Jodhpur living in Delhi-Gurgaon-Noida region have come together on 16 February 2015 at India International Center, New Delhi. They are in the process of registering the IIT Jodhpur Alumni Association.
