Dtu is a very renowned institute and soo it has all the necessary infrastructure and equipment. It have a 3 floor library, a big sports ground which is separated according to different sports like it has a separate basketball court, football ground, volleyball court, kabaddi ground, running track, badminton court, cricket practice net, and it has a sports complex for other indoor sports soch as table tennis etc. It has 2 gyms one near sports ground and other near the hostels.
I am a student of mechanical branch in 3rd year currently. It's because I love to learn about machines and fluids. The quality of teaching is good with some very good professors for example R.S.Mishra sir who is correctly teaching us Heat and mass transfer. He has PhD in 5 different branches as far I know. The curriculum followed has not been updated from past few years soo we are sometimes also taught which is not necessary. The lab facilities is all not updated as all the machines are old.
Quality of placement is approximately same as IITs. The placement drive include some reputed companies such as Google, microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Bajaj etc. The highest package achieved is 1.02 crore with average package of around 11 lakh. Mostly Computer and IT branch bagged good packages. But in 2017-18 mechanical branch got the maximum job offers. The tnp head support in getting maximum placements but the companies visiting are in decline since last year.
The academic fees for dtu is 1.6 lakh per annum and if you want hostel then you will have to pay around 60k more. Which is I guess cheaper than any IIT also the placement offers are bit similar to IITs soo I guess that's value for money. It's just you don't get a tag of IITian but you get the same salary package if you study hard. Also their are private institutes with high fees and less package soo according to me dtu is best as vale for money.
Dtu has a campus of around 170 acres which is huge. I wasn't able to explore the full campus till I reached 2 year. The best place students love to hangout is Open air theatre where you'll see most of the students during break in winters. Dtu also has many technical teams and societies in which you can take part by clearing their easy interview process. It is safe and connected to badli metro station. It can easily handle emergency as it has its own health center and also police is always their.
My experience as a student has been awesome in this college for three years. You will get to attend number of fest like yuvaan, aahvaan, Engifest. Also it conducts various placement workshops and other technical fests due to which you get great exposure.
It has one of the best engineering college campuses in India. The campus is spread over 160 acres. There are proper grounds and courts for different sports. Classroom and labs are quite large and equipped with air-conditioners. The canteen facilities are not that good, but the food items served to the students are quite affordable and tasty.
I am studying MECHANICAL ENGINEERING WITH SPECIALISATION IN AUTOMATION. QUALITY OF TEACHING IS GREAT. MY CURRICULUM IS UPDATED. I THINK SO THAT IT MAKES ME JOB READY. Also the Mechanical Engineering With Specialisation In Automation Is A Great Branch.
The placement record is one of the best. Almost 100% students got placed. Over 300 companies visit for recruitment. The highest placement overseas was 1.08 crores per annum. The average CTC for whole B.Tech is 13 Lacs per annum. Top recruiters were google, Microsoft, amazon, adobe etc. The internship record is quite solid this time by an average stipend of 20000.
First year fees was ₹1,51,000. Now i am in second year an this year the fees is ₹1,65,000. It keep on increasing every year. Its Value for money. The college provides all the facilities to the students throughout the year . From library to medical check ups , the college never asks for extra charge . Its all in the annual fee.
The campus is spread across acres and provides you with all kind of facilities. With all the lush gardens and wide roads, it is a delight . Therefore, The best part about DTU is undoubtedly the campus. Life is good as there is a lot of fun stuff to do around and inside the campus. The campus life is amazing . There are many societies and tech team in college like Pratibimb, Ecell , NSS DTU, Raftaar etc. One can join according to his/her passion. ENGIFEST, AAHVAAN,YUVAAN,INNOVA are the bmajor fes
College Is A Fantastic Place To Live. It is one of the best college in this world.
It is the best engineering college in india. There are proper grounds for different sports and also indoor courts for different sports.Classrooms and labs are well quite large and equipped with air conditioners. Cateen facility is also very good.
Academic part is also very good.Faculties are also very good.Every and each dought is very professionaly cleared by our facilities .our curriculum is also upadted timely. Here ,i am pursuin my b.tech and my branch is E.P.
Placement record is also too good .Almost 100% student got placed .over 300 companies visit for recruitment. Top recruiters were amazon ,google,Microsoft etc.The highest placement overseas was 1.08 crore per annum.
The best part of dtu is undoughtly the campus. Life is good as there is lot of fun stuff to the around .
Good infrastructure well equipped and maintained. There is a WiFi connection available throughout the campus . The hostel , mess and canteens are clean and hygienic. The classroom are equipped with smart boards.
The faculty is good and the academic environment is also very good. The college is one of the top institutes of the country so the students who come in are accordingly bright and capable. The curriculum is being updated every year , new changes are being brought in and the faculty is also adapting with advanced technologies .
The placement record is excellent. The exact details of placement are available on the college site. Each year the placement statistics are only getting better . The average package for this year was 10 lpa
1.65 lacs per year
Campus is quite big and beautiful . Amidst the city life of our capital , this green campus is a much needed blessing.
No.
The infrastructure in our college is very well maintained and clean. The labs have the latest equipments and facilities and also ACs.High speed Wifi facility is available throughout the campus.Classrooms are large enough have projectors ,speakers and ACs .A Central library containing all types of books is accessible to all.Our college also has a sports complex where fields, tracks and courts for all kinds of sports are available.Food quality in mess is appreciable and boys hostels are ok.
I am currently pursuing Btech in ECE .ECE branch in our college is quite hard but is one of the best branches here.ECE department has one of the best teachers in our college.Quality of teaching is very good except some teachers(which I can't name).Syllabus keeps on updating as per the industry developments and requirements. Many projects are being carried out here in this field. Excellent teachers and facilities here ensure that anyone in any branch will prosper if they use resources properly.
Placements in DTU are one of the best in Delhi probably in India too. About 450 companies visited last year for campus placements including google, apple, microsoft, tower research, samsung etc.about 90 percent of students eligible for placement are placed.Highest salary offered was 1.3 crore last year to a student of CSE.Average salary was about 8 lacs per annum.According to some of the seniors placements are done by conducting test and then interview.Test is moderate and interviews are little hard
I gave 4 stars here because I feel about 13 lacs (including hostel and mess fees) for total fees here for any branch is quite more as it is a government college but then there comes the placement statics which is quite overwhelming. Due to this everyone feels their money is worth it here. Some of the World's best companies come here for campus placements and many students get selected also which makes a favourable environment for any student to take admission here.
College campus is spread in an area of 180 acres and is covered by lush green trees. Hostels to inside delhi students are not easily available unless they have a medical condition.Pollution level is quite high here due to the industries nearby.Students can enroll in different clubs and societies available here as per their interest.Fests are held every year.Campus is in a safe location as police headquarters of the area is nearby. Emergency can also be handled perfectly here .
Overall it's a nice college where you can develop your personality, skills and knowledge in the best way. You get to meet students from all over India as well as from foreign.I usually chill out with my friends ,have fun and study .
College sure is vast and clean! I mean when you walk a 300 acre! you surely will know what I am talking about. Infrastructure is old and rusted(though new buildings are being constructed right now as we speak). I mean all the govt. colleges have the same scenerio! Trust me; IP colleges are much cleaner and maintained but have a very small campus size.
In college life, you will not care about faculty unless you wanna go for research work! Yes the curriculum sure is updated in every 2-3 years since DCE turned into a Delhi Technological University. Well the studies do not/ never makes one job ready but the campus life and company one surrounds themselves with!
Placements are the I guess one of the key factors for opting the college , Nsut is better in everything except crowd/ratio , fun and studies ! and equal in placements . Average salary is according to me 6 lac. though it varies from batch to batch and year to year. Placement process is the usual one till now, Let’s see how it turns into in the near future.
is the cheapest yet best engineering besides some IITS and NITS!
The infrastructure is good. The campus has 160 acre green and clean campus with maintained academic buildings. The labs are well equipped specially the mechanical labs. Whole campus is wifi equipped and have smart classes as well. The living spaces are clean and food is hygienic as well.
The mechanical department of dtu is considered best in india and even some people claim it to be best in Asia. The quality of teaching is above average. You can even find some professors who can help you with your unofficial projects as well. The mechanical curriculum is updated but the computer science curriculum needs to be updated.
The placements of dtu are one of the India's best. Almost all of the students sitting are placed so the placement is mostly 100% which some students gaining multiple offers from various companies. The highest package offered was 1.4 crore offered by uber. The highest domestic package is 40+lpa by adobe. Both the packages were grabbed by computer science students. The average package is 11-12lpa and the average package for tech branches is 18lpa. College is very supportive in placement process.
It costs around 1lakh 80 thousand per year for academics and 30 thousand per year for hostel (both in inr). I feel the academic fee is little overpriced as it is government college.
The campus life of dtu is very amazing. There are lots of societies and extra curricular clubs active throughout. The competitions go on almost whole of the year. College participates in lots of competitions. The students and seniors are very supportive. The location is in north east delhi which is safe and easily accessible through metro.
The college is amazing, its campus life, placements every thing is amazing.
the collage has a really beutiful vibe to it. most of it is old but evrything works fine. they maintained regulearly. the food really better then what other collage serve. the food is really good.all facalty are good.
i am study cse when it is main stram. no intrest are begning as such . most teacher are good teaching. the professars read to the slides. i study on by own. the carriculam is little old i guss as we were not thought.
the placement were nice for student in cse and all it and core branch. the most componies are preferd for it sector.the avrage sallry of give to 7-8 lakhs. the higest pkg are 20 lakhs.mechenical student are also placed.
about 166000 are fee per year.it is a very compered to other collage. the money is worth the education here.evrythin happens for a reason.
full power enjoyment. collage area is beautifull.those who like rains would enjoy it more and vice-versa student can do whetever acitivities they want as evrything is aviliable here. staff is also good depending on how live inside thevcampus.
tech fest and cultural fest held in our collage.
Academically the Infrastructure provides everything and in co curriculum activities of robotics and drama clubs etc. Everything is here but sports facilities are not that great.Wifi has a great speed at certain places (mostly in hostel and department areas )wifi is not supported in not in1st year classroom called sps
No the curriculum is way behind the time for first years though you all have different branches but all will study the same subject and some teachers are good but most of them just do their duty and some don't even do their duty
Its the best i heard for computer science the placement average was 18.5 lpa , for IT16.2lpa and for software that was 18.05lpa ,for Ece average was 12.38 .Meadian salary were 14.3,13.6,14,12.15lpa for computer,It, software and Ece
It costs around 2Lpa its not money worth its only name worth we only get the DTU tag and no academic building things
Campus life is best full of happenings you will definitely get tired from freshers to rhe Engifest which us our cultural fest.Every week has something new with it.100 + societies you can join . Students are much supporting,no scene of ragging.Location is a bit far only a bit.Yaa it can handle emergencies.
Full of happening college you never get bored, placement is best for software and other branches is average ,not meant for research.Not.much scene of attendance, unless you are in electrical department thats a strictl department.Teacher Don't cate about you, that too.seniors are much supportive no ragging .If you want hostel life them you should be outside delhi.
The infrastructure is relatively new and still there are new building are been build. Each class rooms are well spaces and all labs are welll equipped. Canteen provides good and cheap food with proper sanitation aroundllegearound
I am a student of mechanical engineering with specialization in automotive engineering. DTU is one of the oldest engineering college in india which was established by Britishers in 1942. It is famous for its mechanical engineering.
DTU been considered as a premium engineering college in india thereby nearly all companies which recruits in india, also visit DTU. Packages are decent and nearly all students get placed before the end of course.
Fees have taken a serious increase as compared to last 5 years ago but it's worth paying that kind of money as labs and class have full facilities of comfort and study. The fees is near to 1.5 lacs and increases every semester
Campus is specifically designed such that student spend much time in their with OAT being the hub for students to enjoy anytime in a day. With all the facilities like table tennis, feelmissed outpool studentspool can't
It's an overall growth of student in DTU whether is academic or extracurricular activities. With good placement, students feel secured about their future and enjoy their college life to the fullest without worrisome.
85% Seat Allocation for Delhi Candidates : DTU reserves 85% of its seats across programs, including B.Tech, BBA, and MBA, for candidates who have completed their qualifying education—such as Class 12 for undergraduate courses or a Bachelor’s degree for MBA—from a recognized institution located in Delhi. Given that your schooling is from Delhi, you fulfill this criterion and are eligible for the Delhi quota. This reservation policy prioritizes you over out-of-state candidates, who compete for the remaining 15% of seats, thereby enhancing your chances of securing admission.
Validity of Caste Certificate from Haryana : Your caste certificate from Haryana is valid for claiming reservation benefits at DTU, provided it is issued by a competent authority and adheres to the Government of India’s guidelines for categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, or ST. DTU, as a state university, accepts caste certificates from other states for reservation purposes, so your certificate should not pose any issue, assuming it aligns with the category you’ve applied under. For instance, if applying under OBC-NCL, the certificate must be recent (typically issued within the last year) and reflect your status on the Central OBC list. The 85% Delhi quota is determined solely by your schooling location, not the state of issuance of your caste certificate, so this aspect does not impact your eligibility for the quota.
MBA-Specific Eligibility at DTU : If you are applying for DTU’s MBA program, the eligibility criteria include a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Admission typically requires a valid CAT score, followed by a counseling process or an interview. As a Delhi candidate, you fall under the 85% quota, and your caste certificate can be utilized to avail reservation benefits, potentially easing cutoff requirements or prioritizing your seat allocation.
Hello Aspirant,
If you are okay with any BTech branch and are open to a lot of other areas, then any branch at DTU is generally better than CSE at JSS. DTU (Delhi Technological University) has a good reputation, better campus, alumni network, and placement packages across branches, as well as internships and projects. Even if you don't get CSE at DTU, ECE, IT at DTU, or even mechanical can be good, and you would learn coding for example, or otherwise ease into this area through self-study coding platforms and internships.
If you are fully aware that you only want to do Computer Science and have a deep passion for programming from the start, then CSE at JSS can also be a decent option. However, overall DTU offers a better platform for your long-term career development and flexibility.
No, Delhi Technological University (DTU) does not use CUET for admissions to its B.Tech programs. DTU primarily relies on the JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, with the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handling the process. CUET is used for admissions to other UG programs offered by DTU, such as BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des.
Elaboration:
B.Tech Admissions:
DTU's B.Tech admissions are based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
JAC Delhi:
The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handles the counselling and seat allocation process for B.Tech programs at DTU, along with other participating institutions like Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology-Delhi (IIIT-D), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
CUET for Other Programs:
While JEE Main is the primary entrance for B.Tech, CUET is used for admission to other UG programs like BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des at DTU.
