The new campus is under construction so there are teething problems in this initial stage but the facilities provided will get better with time. It has all basic facilities, the auditorium is under construction as well as sports complex is also under construction
The faculty of every subject is well divided. The sessions are conducted online as well as offline. The curriculum is updated and is rigorous as it include subjects from every domain. The committee and clubs are also devoted for the academic operations.
Many companies visit the campus, but this year it is a bit low as the market is slow. The placement data for the current year has not been released but the last year data had highest salary at 64 LPA, the average at 16.5 LPA and the placement process is well managed by the placement committee.
As we are currently living in our old campus, the infrastructure is average - we have good infrastructure of classrooms and campus surroundings but when it comes to hostel, library and sports we lack a lot. But we are confident that once we go to our permanent campus things change. The food is very suitable for everyone with wide varities and hygiene but there's issue with the cost as the mess bill here is very high.
The curriculum, subjects and teachers are same as of MBA. We learn the same topics now so it will be a major advantage for us in our MBA. The subjects in IPM are very wide with Subjects ranging from commerce, science and arts. I am not sure whether what we learnt makes us job prepared but I am definitely sure that the projects, presentations and curriculum makes us job ready as the curriculum doesn't just focus on exams but other activities as well which are very important in real life.
The placements of the college is going really good having 100% placement every year . Last year the college has seen its best placements record having highest package of 64lpa and average package of 16.71lpa. Though this year they are facing difficulty due to the recession period but I am confident that everyone will get placed good. As of now no IPM batch were yet to start mba - so not sure about IPM batch but it will go similar to that of MBA.
The programme cost is very high with 40lpa and don't get proper infrastructure. The facilities offered for the price is very low. Many private colleges also have less fees comparitively with more facilities. The placements are good but on a relative note many tier 2 IIMs have less fees than IIM J with better placements. We have a fee of 4.85lpa per each year in BBA and the mba fee will be same as MBA at that time. The fee for IPM kept increasing as our juniors paying 5.39lpa per year in BBA.
One of the best thing about the college is it's culture and campus life. The campus never sleeps. Everyone here experience tiring days and sleepless nights but one doesn't mind as the night life at IIM J is one of the best. They day is filled with back to back classes, quizzes, assignments, projects and presentations and your evening will be occupied with committees and club activities
The college has all the facilities that students require, including digital classrooms and classrooms designed in the Harvard style. and the facilities of the hostel are also quite good, particularly the single-person accommodations.
The college has the most qualified faculty members who teach precisely with the most use of case examples and the case of Harvard Business School. This helps the student to cater to the situation that is occurring in the classroom. When it comes to the marketing field of the MBA, the college offers the most comprehensive program.
It is the IIM of the modern era, and it competes with the IIMs of the middle age in terms of placements. The average was approximately 16.5 lac annually in the previous year, which provides a baseline performance indicator for the college in terms of placements. There were a great number of major corporations that visited educational institutions to offer students the best possible roles and CTC.
In order to maximize your return on investment (ROI), you should put a lot of effort into improving yourself and finding a placement with a well-known company in your field. It is the best option both for the tag and for the highest possible return on investment in terms of education and placements. The tuition ranges from approximately 16 to 17 lacs, and the average package offered by the college was also 16.5 last year; furthermore, the price continues to rise year over year.
The college has a vibrant campus life and is situated in Jammu's most desirable neighborhood. There are a lot of interesting places to check out in the neighborhood. places such as Vaishno Devi, Patnitop, and Gulmarg, along with a great number of others. In addition to that, the campus is quite large, so you will not be bored there.
Overall, the college provides the best return on investment (ROI) for first-year students through a combination of placement opportunities and college life. Excellent placements, good peer groups for self-improvement, and the best individual with high standards.
The main campus of IIM Jammu which is located in Jagti, Jammu is not fully constructed and only MBA students stay there however IPM students stay in Canal Road Campus, Jammu. In Jagti, for MBA individual rooms are available with ACs however in CRC there are 3 to 4 girls allocated for one room. Wi-fi is provided 24/7 with optimism speed.
The curriculum for IPM is well designed and provide exposure to diverse topics which helps us to broaden our thinking as management students. There are various courses other than the conventional business courses like Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Happiness and Mental Well being, Geography etc. These courses helps us to develop a new perspective about the things and helps refucing our biases.
IIM Jammu has a 100% placement record. The highest CTC stood at INR 64 LPA, while the average and median CTC stood at INR 16.50 LPA and 15.25 LPA respectively. IIM Jammu placement had recruiters from most prominent industry leaders like Amazon, Microsoft, McKinsey & Company, Adani Group, Cognizant, Deloitte, ICICI Bank among others. The institute has a very good infrastructure, with separate rooms for each student. It has a nice mess with good food four times a day, including breakfast and evening snacks. The campus library is in progress; however, the students have access to an online library and can also get books by keeping them on hold. It has free wifi, an AC facility, a Smartboard and world-class classrooms.
I am studying for MBA. The quality of education is good, with strict exams. The institute curricula are updated according to industry demands and updates. According to me, the Institute is making me Job - ready with all the relevant knowledge and skills I can learn to be ready for industry.
The quality of placement is good. The institute makes sure to get all the students placed in good companies with good packages. 99 % of students get placed. The higher salary a student got was 64 lakh, with a 16 lakh average package. The placement process is very thorough and detailed.
The cost of the course is approximately Rs. 9 lakh per year. The cost is charged semester-wise. You do not have to pay the whole amount at once. Since you get a good placement from the Institute , it's worth spending the amount for two year full MBA program at IIM Jammu.
The Institute campus life is perfect. You come across people from different parts of India,, and hence there is a great oppourtunity for peer learning and knowing about different Indian cultures under one umbrella. There are several activities organized. The faculty are very supportive. IIM Jammu is the only IIM located in such a location that it's also known as IIM in PARADISE. Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine is the holiest place nearby which is visible from the IIM campus.
They have all the required infrastructure in the transit campus. They will be shifting to their new campus soon which is art of state infrastructure. The transit campus is well maintained and the hostels are very clean.
The MBA program is according to corporate needs and the curriculum is well updated. They offer specialization in marketing, finance, analytics, strategy, operations etc. The curriculum is taught by professional and corporate leaders.
Almost everyone was placed. The placement scenario at IIMJ is good. Both the summers and final placement were done in time. The avg salary will be reported soon in the placement report soon. The highest package was 32 lpa this year.
Hi Arvind,
Both IIM Jammu and NIBM Pune are excellent for the MBA. One thing is that IIM Jammu carries it's own prestigious reputation of being an IIM where as the NIBM Pune has strong connections when it comes to banking and finance sector and the placements are also well praised for NIBM.
To keep everything simple I would suggest NIBM Pune as it offers better placements and importantly it's proximity to your home city Mumbai.
All the best!

Hello aspirant,
It is well said , " Scope means not the height career had achieved, it means the height to which you can make your career reach. "
If you are interested in public services and want to help others, you can go for MBBS.
If you are interested in corporate job, entrepreneurship, business and more, go for BBA AND MBA.
Both fields are very good. If you still have confusion, go for career counselling test online or offline. You can also talk to your teachers and parents.
If you don't want to do either, write down your thoughts mentioning what you don't want to do, you will automatically know what to do.
All the best.
