IIM Shillong Admission Process

Indian Institute of Management Shillong offers admissions to PG and doctoral courses in full-time and part-time modes. IIM Shillong admissions are offered to M.B.A, M.B.A Working Executives, Post Graduate Programme for Executives, Ph.D, Ph.D Working Professionals programmes. IIM Shillong M.B.A admission is based on CAT scores followed by group discussion and personal interviews conducted by the institute. Indian Institute of Management Shillong conducts the Executive Assessment Centre (EAC) phase for M.B.A. Working Executive admission. Candidates' performance in the GRE/GMAT/GATE/CAT/XAT or PGPWE Entrance Exam are considered for IIM Shillong Ph.D admission. Academics

When it comes to the quality of teaching the professors are very experienced and some of them are from Institutes like IIM Ahemdabad and Calcutta. They do a lot of research and try to pass on their knowledge to the students in the best way possible. The curriculum is updated every year based on the recent developments in the industry and the focus remains on developing industry skills in the students.

It's been an amazing journey!

Im in my second year of my MBA course at IIM Shillong. The faculty is experienced and we have a well equipped library with Bloomberg terminals. Case based interactions take place in class with quality Harvard case studies. Visiting faculty are amazing and keep you updated with the latest industry developments. We are also upskills on software skilld and machine learning related courses. I think that makes us job-ready and confident when it comes to applying for jobs. Overall very happy :)

180 seats are available for MBA admission at IIM Shillong. CAT scores are used by IIM Shillong to screen MBA candidates. For each of the three categories, the CAT sectional percentile was 75.

Eligibility Criteria for admission in IIM Shillong-

A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% in any subject for applicants under the general category.
For eligibility, applicants from the SC, ST, DA, and PwD groups must receive a minimum bachelor's grade point average of 45%.
While overseas candidates must submit GMAT scores, Indian applicants must provide CAT scores.

Well, it seems that you have a good profile.

Though academics is not the only things considered in an IIM. You need to have Extra-curricular, and co-curricular activities. Also a good diverse profile is a plus point in any good B-school.

What is the eligibility criteria for the post of assistant professor of MBA in IIM and how can I apply for it?

Thanks for approaching us. Though we are an education platform providing counselling to students across domains, however, would be glad to assist you in this regard. Are you looking for a Full-time or a Part-time opportunity?

In order to become an assistant professor in any of the IIMs, you need to obtain a PhD with an excellent academic background. To become eligible as a full-time faculty at any IIM you must have a doctorate in management or equivalent Fellow Program in Management (FPM) from any of the IIMs or XLRI. Candidates without a PhD can also join IIMs to teach as part-time or full-time guest faculty on contract appointments but cannot become permanent faculty at the IIMs till they get the doctorate degree.

To apply, you need to visit the official websites of the respective IIMs. They usually advertise/invite candidates to fill their vacant positions. You can directly apply by posting your updated resume.
