Overall, the college is good for MBA aspirants.
Academics
The teaching is exceptionally great since the faculties are not just teacher but rather facilitating the discussions in class. Classes and exams both are case based, the curriculum is yearly updated with modifications as and when necessary. The subjects can be a little more aligned as per the industry with more focus on learnings rather than just classes.
College Infra
The college has good infra, with a very vast library having an integrated software system for remote access, as well as finance lab included. The hostels are good wifi water cooler and AC everything intact, maintained and good academic building. Just all the buildings are very far, so have to do lot of walking while going to class or mess. but overall the college has a great infrastructure.
Campus Life
Campus is lively, with students roaming around the campus even till 3pm. Activities and events happen till late night. Cafe and Amul shop are filled with people till late night. The culture can be a little toxic due to competition as well as diversity of different kinds of people, since I am not very social, so it has been an okay experience for me.
Placements
Placements have been decent with 14-17 LPA as average for last few years. Most students get placed, though since the economy isnt so good so there are exceptions. Placement process are a little more tedious than normal colleges.
Value For Money
Overall, if you are a fresher and no such other career path focus, the institute is a good opportunity to grow your career. If looking at MBA colleges, I think I made the right choice.

IIM Jammu's academics are intense, fostering deep learning. Expect a rigorous curriculum, demanding schedules, yet invaluable practical skills. It's a challenging but rewarding experience.
Faculties are experienced in their domain, but personally I don't like the pedagogy ,but still one can learn from various diverse fields.
College Infra
IIM Jammu boasts a modern campus in Jagti, featuring advanced classrooms, hostels, and a library. It emphasizes technology with strong Wi-Fi and computer facilities. Sports, medical, and auditorium amenities support holistic student development.
Campus Life

Placements
IIM Jammu offers decent placements, though some firms withdrew. Not due to skill gaps, but external factors. Opportunities exist, but the market's fluctuating impact is there but overall the placements are fine.
Value For Money
If one is investigating such a hefty amount, It would be advisable to look for better opportunity.

Academics
We were the first batch of the IPM program and we learned a diverse set of courses that literally helped us in our MBA life. The courses were curated to provide a practical learning perspective and the case studies make them even more valuable for the corporate world. Thanks to the dedicated professors who put their heart and soul to instil them in our minds.
College Infra
I studied in the old campus which is equally beautiful as the new (current) one. We had a beautiful garden right in front of our classrooms. The weather at IIM Jammu is something that highlights the entire campus making it exceptionally beautiful.
Campus Life
Campus life at IIM Jammu is truly special. Every night we had the unique opportunity to interact with professors as they joined us for games and even dined with us. While friends were always there, the bond we shared with our professors added a personal that made our experience unforgettable.
Placements
Placements at IIM Jammu are quite decent for a new IIM. With growing corporate ties and a dedicated placement team, the opportunities are expanding each year. The future looks promising. Hence it is good.
Value For Money
Yes. It is value for money. The experience and knowledge we gain go beyond measure. The beautiful campus life, the extraordinary relationships we build, and the learning (both inside and outside the classroom) are just very enriching.

Hi, My son has done BBA as part of IPM program from IIM BodhGaya(2022-25).He has got admission offer for MBA core program from IIM Jammu and PGDM( Banking and Finance) from NIBM Pune. He does not want to continue with IIM BG and for diversification of experience wants to choose between IIM Jammu and NIBM. Which one will be better. He has slight inclination for finance specialisation. For reputation of institute perspective, placement, overall experience which will be better for the long run? We are from Mumbai.

Both IIM Jammu and NIBM Pune are excellent for the MBA. One thing is that IIM Jammu carries it's own prestigious reputation of being an IIM where as the NIBM Pune has strong connections when it comes to banking and finance sector and the placements are also well praised for NIBM.
To keep everything simple I would suggest NIBM Pune as it offers better placements and importantly it's proximity to your home city Mumbai.

is it cumpulsory for student to stay in hostel at iim jammu if he or she lives nearby college.
and is dayout allowed in iim jammu.

Hope you are doing well ! Yes hostel is compulsory for all the students in the iim Jammu ,dayout is not allowed except saturday and Sunday . Also IIM Jammu, the students are provided with single occupancy room in which they provide the bed, Side table, Main table, all weather AC , Fan, Light, Cupboard, Lights, Charging port etc.

I have recently passed 12th CBSE board exam with PCB (Physics, Chem & Bio). I have appeared in NEET & JIPMAT. From overall long term career perspective , which is a better option MBBS (from a govt college) or IPM (5 yrs BBA+MBA) from IIM Jammu. Kindly guide.

It is well said , " Scope means not the height career had achieved, it means the height to which you can make your career reach. "
If you are interested in public services and want to help others, you can go for MBBS.
If you are interested in corporate job, entrepreneurship, business and more, go for BBA AND MBA.
Both fields are very good. If you still have confusion, go for career counselling test online or offline. You can also talk to your teachers and parents.
If you don't want to do either, write down your thoughts mentioning what you don't want to do, you will automatically know what to do.
