is rank between 1200 is enough for a high chance to get into chemical engineering for b tech at IIT Delhi.

As the paper pattern of Jee advanced keeps on changing so it is quite difficult to provide the marks but it would be better to get more than 60% if you wish to get admission in top IITs.

I learned the MnC course at IITD is very harsh. Is that true? Is the abstract Maths part too boring?How are the profs? Please help.

There is nothing like that. It is one of the top courses in IITD. Maths is important part of this course and placements are very good. Faculty is also very good.
