Check out the below provided link to know more about cut off trends of IIIT-Delhi,

https://www.careers360.com/university/indraprastha-institute-of-information-technology-delhi

Thank You!

Hi there,

Since your obc rank is 29k then even under defense quota your chances of getting a seat into IIITS is quite low. Although you could get a seat if you gi through all the rounds of counselling or even special rounds of counselling.

There are other colleges as well where you can get a seat to know about such colleges you can use our college predictor tool

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

Yes, you will surely get a seat as you have a good rank in obc category and you also belong to defence quota. Going to previous year trends, students with these rank got admission in IIIT Delhi. Okay, you can check using college predictor - https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor .

Dear Aspirant,

No you will not be getting any of the mentioned institute. I suggest you should either prepare again for the JEE 2021, or take admission in some private colleges.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello,

Considering the previous year cut off here is the list of colleges in which you have chances of getting seat under ST category

DTU

  • Computer Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Software Engineering

NSUT

  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) (CSDS)

  • Computer Science and Engineering (Big Data Analytics)

The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

To check the previous year cut off click on the link given below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jac-delhi-merit-list

To know the colleges in which you have chances of getting seat you can use we have JEE Main college predictor tool, you can use it by using the link below

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hello Aspirant,

Unfortunately on such OBC rank you cannot get any of the IIITs/GFTIs with any of the branches because closing OBC ranks of last year were like :-

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Kancheepuram - Smart Manufacturing (16111)

Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) Una, Himachal Pradesh - Electronics and Communication Engineering (15738)

Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacture Jabalpur - Smart Manufacturing (16100)

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So on such OBC rank you have no chance to get any of the IIITs even with non-core branches , so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for autonomous government colleges or for private colleges or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

Dear Student ,

Your preparation will not be depend on any institutes but only on your cleared concepts . DTU or IIIT Delhi.. both institutes will teach you the whole syllabus by every semesters , if you were asking about placement recruitments.. then this comparison may exist .. but you have to study hard and clear your concepts by solving doubts , exercise and revisions ..

Some  private coaching institutes may help you to rank better in your GATE or ESE exams .. but , you need to prepare your strategy for preparation of GATE and ESE exams .. as these exams includes some beyond syllabus subjects that you need to be study during your preparation.

Well, for your reference .. go through this two articles , these will help you to prepare for these two exams  :

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/how-prepare-for-gate-without-coaching

https://competition.careers360.com/articles/ese-preparation-tips

Hope this helps !

Best wishes !!

Hi, so in terms of course I would suggest you to go for Computer Science. Reason being, if you are a software engineer you already know everything about the work of an Information Technology professional. Basically a computer science engineer develop software and an information technology professional works on maintaining those softwares. Also there is a great market for developers around the world.

Also developers have great salary packages.

So you can go with software engineering.

If you want a better college you can go for DTU since it is well established.

Hope this is helpful.
