when will the decentralised (spot) counselling for b tech in jadavpur university start???

The counseling has been over (WBJEE) and as per the official notice on the Jadavpur University site, the classes have already started from 20th July.
You will have to visit the college or contact them to know if there is any other round pending.

which is better NIT or jadavpur university

It depends on which NIT you are comparing. If we talk about top NITs then you should go for NITs they are better and if we compare it with lower NITs then you should go for JU.

College Infrastructure

Considering its reputation and ranking the infrastructure is poor. Few toilets are unusable. We don't really have any kind of sanitary machines, not even a medical shop in university campus (fyi we have a whole sbi bank in the campus).

One of the Best College in India.

College Infrastructure

The University is built on fifty to sixty acres land. In our physics department we have three buildings one is for undergraduate and the other is for post graduate and another one is for both undergraduate and post graduate.We have labs for students of both undergraduate and post graduate that include Optics lab mechanical lab and electronics lab. Our department also has a canteen. We have a library for physics department that contains variety of books like Mathematics books, physics books, and a few collection of computer science books.
