College Infrastructure

The infrastructure at Jadavpur University is decent overall, with the essential facilities in place for students. Classrooms, laboratories, and libraries are fairly maintained. The canteens offer hygienic and affordable food, making it convenient for students to manage daily meals. However, the condition of bathrooms is rather poor. The Engineering Drawing rooms don't look like they ever get cleaned. Repairs of electrical appliances like fans and lights often take a long time. Concern affecting infrastructure development is the lack of sufficient funding, which has slowed down repairs and modernization efforts. With better financial support, the campus facilities could be significantly improved.

Quite good.

College Infrastructure

The college offers an excellent infrastructure that is both modern and student-friendly. Every aspect of the campus is designed to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students can focus on their studies and personal development.

An honest review of Jadavpur University.

College Infrastructure

A bit underwhelming due to inadequate funding. Basic labs found in first year are not upto the mark. However when it comes to equipments, toh would probably all of them except half of them are obsolete from industry pov.

Have a question related to Jadavpur University, Kolkata ?

I got 8588 GMR rank in wbjee and TFW rank 1451 can I get any branch in jadavpur university

Hello

With 8588 rank in WBJEE GMR and 1451 rank in TFW, it is highly unlikely for you to get any B.Tech branch in Jadavpur University even for the TFW quota as the cutoff rank of top branches has been around 1000 rank and the lower ones have been around 3000 rank and as your rank is a lot higher than that, it won't be possible.

Thank You!!!

Please help me my wbjee rank gmr rank 41869 and my category OBC B rank 3689 so I get architecture engineering in jadavpur university and how much free

Hey Priaysree:)

Thanks for reaching out!

Congratulations on your WBJEE rank that's a great score!

Witu GMR of 41,869 and OBC rank of 3,689 you have a good chance of getting Architecture Engineering at Jadavpur University ,Since the OBC cutoff for this course in recent years have gone above your rank. The fees at JU are also affordable compared to private colleges. It comes around 26,000 for the entire course .Do check directly or with the  official website of your college to get exact details.

All the best!

I'm a st category student , WB domicile, my GMR is 44129 and tfw rank is 10786 . Can I get mechanical engineering in jadavpur university.

With a General Merit Rank (GMR) of 44,129 and a Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) rank of 10,786 as an ST category student from West Bengal, it is unlikely that you will secure admission to Mechanical Engineering at Jadavpur University.

Jadavpur University is highly competitive, and the cutoff ranks for Mechanical Engineering, especially through TFW and reserved categories, usually fall much lower than these ranks. Mechanical Engineering cutoffs for TFW candidates are often within the top few thousand ranks, typically under 3,000–5,000, and even the reserved category general merit cutoff tends to be significantly lower than 44,000 for Mechanical Engineering.

However, you might explore other government or private engineering colleges in West Bengal where your rank and category may provide better chances for Mechanical Engineering admission.
