For admission in Jadavpur University the cut off for admission in various branches available in 2017 for the SC category was a range of 1995- 21600 (general merit rank). As your general  Merit rank is 27778, you seem to have less chances for admission here through the SC

No, all Engineering UG admissions to JU are through WBJEE only.
