Hi Aashima,
Your overall aggregate in B.Tech might cause some minor problems for you as some of the IITs eligibility criteria clearly states that a minimum of 55-60% is required. Some IITs like IIT Guwahati and Kharagpur have stated minimum percentage required to be 55%. You must not lose hope. Aim for a high score in GATE.
All the best
Hello,
As a Delhi student, the closing rank is really low for some branches and you can easily get some branch in DTU or NSIT due to Delhi Quota. Mathematics and Computing is one of the branches closely related to CSE and thus attracts large packages which is the driving factor for a lot of students to choose these branches. According to last year cutoffs, your chances of getting Mathematics and Computing is very less. You should still go for the spot round and try your luck. Also, since the branches in IIIT D are top ones, there is very less chance in it too.
Thank You
Hy there aspirant,
Th thing is the rank you scored is little off grid to get you admission in nsit that too in branch of CSE. So if you want to wait for csab you can try or you can always go for the seats which are offered in management quotA . Wishing you luck
Hi Yuvraj,
The order of preference that I am providing is based on the most important factor i.e. PLACEMENT.
Here is the order of the colleges along with their 2018 average package for CSE branch-
1. NIT Trichy
2. IIT Patna
3. NSIT, Delhi
4. DTU, Delhi
Hope this helps you.
All the best!!!
Hi Candidate! According to your general rank it is difficult for you to get a seat in these colleges. But according to your ews rank you have decent chances to get a seat. But you have low branch option. CSE or ECE is quite difficult for you. Try for lower branches and after first semester change your branch if you want to.
Hope it helps.
Thanks.
According to the reviews of students, following is the rating given to the colleges.
IIT, Guwahati
NSIT
According to this data, go for IIT, Guwahati!
Good luck! :)
Hi Lokesh,
Congratulations on your good GATE Score. NSIT is a decent college to pursue M.tech. The infrastructure, faculty and placements are fine. However, it is not as good a college to pursue m.tech as it is for B.tech. The placements are comparatively lesser.
A good option to go for in Delhi is IIIT Delhi. It has an excellent faculty and there is also a lot of push for research. They have recently increased their vacancies for m.tech, so you have a fair chance if you're able to clear their interview. The placements are impressive for the ECE branch, with an average package of above Rs. 10 lakhs per annum. Companies like Qualcomm, Intel etc visit the college to hire for both internships and placements. Their infrastructure is also very modern.
All the best!
It do accept the mark's of the April exam too. Do give and show upon that marks only in which your scores are well and enough to seek admission into the college in Which you are willing to seek admission into. You'll surely get one may be not in the first but other rounds as well.
I would give 4 out 5 giving 4/5 for infrastructure feels fair because the campus delivers strong academic support with modern essentials, while a few maintenance and distance-related frictions remain. The academic blocks have well-equipped classrooms and labs that support hands-on learning; access to computing facilities, library resources, and lecture halls is generally smooth and organized. Yehi balance—functional classrooms + labs + library depth—daily learning ko reliable banata hai. Campus spread is a clear positive: open, green spaces, dedicated sports areas, and a structured layout make movement logical and campus life active. Sports grounds, indoor facilities, and basic utilities (bank/ATM, medical support, helpdesks) ensure routine needs are addressed without derailing study schedules—matlab infrastructure day-to-day rhythm ko support karta hai. Hostels and connectivity add to the stability: separate accommodation blocks, campus Wi‑Fi, and common spaces help students manage academics and downtime together. Common areas and service points reduce friction during peak academic weeks—yeh subtle cheezein overall experience ko steady rakhti hain. Why not 5/5? On a large campus, walking distances between blocks can feel long, and some facilities show uneven upkeep or delayed fixes—particularly in select labs or activity areas. Kabhi-kabhi cafeteria/vendor churn and small admin delays bhi experience ko thoda affect kar sakte hain. These are not deal-breakers, but they keep it a solid 4/5 instead of flawless. Net-net, infrastructure is dependable, student-first, and aligned with academic priorities. If someone values structured learning environments, usable labs, active sports spaces, and a campus that feels like a self-contained ecosystem, NSUT’s infra genuinely delivers—4/5 is a thoughtful, grounded rating.
The campus is very big. It has modern and green campus. It has also well-maintained environment with classrooms. It has also hostel facilities. Classrooms are air-conditioned amd washrooms are neat and clean.
The campus is very beautifully built and the hostels have sufficient amenities like wifi, reading rooms, badminton court, common rooms, etc. The hostel is also nice and provides good quality food in mess and canteens.
