To gain admission into the Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT), Bangalore , for a B.E./B.Tech program, you can qualify through one of the following entrance exams:
Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET)
– Conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA)
COMEDK UGET
– Conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka
JEE Main – National-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)
Admission is based on your rank in these exams, and the seat distribution is as follows:
KCET : 45% of seats
COMEDK : 30% of seats
Management Quota : 25% of seats
For candidates from Karnataka, the minimum eligibility criteria include:
A minimum of
45% aggregate
in Physics and Mathematics, along with one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories, a minimum of 40% aggregate is required.
Please note that the eligibility criteria may vary for candidates from outside Karnataka.

B.E./B.Tech with minimum 50% (45% for reserved categories in Karnataka)

If you are considering applying for a B. Tech or B.E. engineering degree at BIT Bangalore. If you are a resident of Karnataka, you will need to take the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) . However, if you are from another state in India, you must register for the COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test), which is open to all candidates across the country.
The COMEDK UGET 2025 examination is anticipated to take place in May, and similarly, the KCET 2025 exam is also expected to be scheduled for May.
