Admission to engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu is through TNEA and not JEE Main. So, you have to register for that, through the website of Anna University. Your rank is actually good and you have a chance of getting in an NIT or IIIT.

Whether any entrance exam to join in cit college

Hello Ramakrishnan,

There is no such exam for Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT). The admission is through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions).

In TNEA, the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) scores will be considered. The admission procedure will be conducted by Anna University. The admission authorities will release a cutoff
