Hi Lokesh.

Admission to engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu is through TNEA and not JEE Main. So, you have to register for that, through the website of Anna University. Your rank is actually good and you have a chance of getting in an NIT or IIIT.

Your question is not clear. I guess you are asking about diploma in chemical engineering from Coimbatore.

But as far as I know diploma course is not available there.

Whether any entrance exam to join in cit college

Hello Ramakrishnan,

There is no such exam for Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT). The admission is through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions).

In TNEA, the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) scores will be considered. The admission procedure will be conducted by Anna University. The admission authorities will release a cutoff for all categories. For admission, candidates need to meet the cutoff released. For candidates who do not meet the cutoff will not be entitled admission.

When should I need to apply and how

Hey,
Selection will be based on performance in an entrance test and in the qualifying examination (UG) upto V Semester / II year. The Entrance Test will be conducted in the university campus only. Further details are available in the prospectus & in the website.

Application forms and prospectus can be had from the Registrar in person or by post from 17.04.2017 on requisition with a cost of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- in the case of SC/ST Candidates, on production of attested photocopy of community certificate) in the form of a Demand Draft dated no earlier than 17.04.2017 drawn in favour of the "Registrar, Bharathiar University payable at Coimbatore" and self addressed stamped envelope to the value of Rs.60/-. Please note that cash payment will NOT BE ACCEPTED. The cost of application once paid will not be refunded.

Candidates can also apply online (or) download the application form from the website and submit the filled-in application with required fee of Rs.300/- (for others) and Rs.150/- (for SC/ST Candidates).
