1. Engineering Councelling: Through anna-university councelling conducted every year, based on the rank and cut-offs a students can get admit in this college. The cut off ranges between 192 to 197 on an average in this institution, except for few courses which require only 180 to 189 cut-offs.
2. Management Quota: In this way, a student can enroll in the institution through financial aids, provided he/she satisfies the minimum required cut-offs set by the college in that year.
3. NRI Quota: Separate admissions and preferences are also given to Non-Residential Students in this college, which can be enquired at the college admission desk.

Since you are a diploma holder, you can apply for the engineering colleges as a lateral entry student, so that you can get direct admission from 2nd year. you have a very good percentage in your diploma. The placements is SKCET are quite good. Almost 92% of the students got placed last year in top-recruiting companies. The maximum salary offered is INR 28 Lakhs per annum, and the average salary package offered is INR 3.92 Lakhs per annum. Top recruiters include: Amazon, Ashok Leyland, BOSCH, Accenture, PayPal, Infosys, Cognizant, Hyundai, Oracle, Wipro, and many others.

The placements offered in KCT are also good, with top-recruiters like: HCL, DELL, HP, Infosys, BOSCH, Wipro, Cognizant, etc visiting the campus every year, but the average salary offered is INR 3 Lakhs per annum, and the highest is INR 25 Lakhs per annum, which is lesser than SKCET. Further, 82.3% of students are placed in 2019-2020 in KCT, the ratio of which is again less than SKCET. So, it can be determined that SKCET is better in case of placements that KCT.

You can apply for psg and kct via TNEA counselling. But then, the cut off marks are not  finalized yet, you can go through the past trends of cut off marks.

If you take a glance at psg, for B.Tech Biotechnology , it is 197.25 for OC, 196.75 for BC, 196 for BCM, 195.5 for MBC, 190 for SC, 183.75 for SCA .

If you look at kct, the admission for the stream, B.Tech Biotechnology is based on the Rank list allotted by Anna University. If you're representing General Category , your rank should be around 4432 ; if you're a representative of OBC Category, your rank should be around 9755 ; It should be around 15068 for MBC Category, and 41950 for SC Category, as per 2019 trends.
