Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
Well, brother looking at the present senario, I would recommend you to apply for VIT mechanical
I've personally meet students of VIT, MIT M and SRM and have seen quite a difference in the approach of solving problems and thinking the stuff. On that, I've seen VI students do stands better than the above two. I'm not degrading any college's image nor my colleague's, I'm just saying that at VIT you will have a better peer group and there you'll also have better oppertunities to grow your knowledge as well..
Though, all the three options are decent. And I can't say much about Shiv Nadar university, though only heard his name.
Thank You
I hope it helps!
Hello kartik Gupta,
Satisfactory from an average student’s perspective.
P.s: We are doing quite good compared to the new IITs.
MUJ is a young institution. It has made efforts in getting MNCs and reputed startups for placement. But the packages offered have been mediocre.
More than 60 Companies have visted MUJ since the last 5 years. Amazon, Appirio, SAP Lab, CSC, Asahi Glass, Kirloskar, Eagle Burgman, ST Microelectronics, Cruiseline shipping, JCB, Infineon, Temenos, Shree Cement, Everest Industries, Salucro, Xebia, Advanced Technology, Sasken Communication, Wipro Technologies etc are some of the renowned companies that have visited MUJ in the past.
Below is a list of all the companies which have been our RECRUITERS (INTERNSHIP & PLACEMENT) for the year 2015–2016.
The highest package offered so far had been 10.5 lpa by Amazon.
Three other candidates received package offers of 9.5 lpa from Amazon itself.
Another company (name forgotten but was ECE related) selected 3 candidates offering them a contract of working for them at 22 lakhs for 30 months.
Another notable offer was 8 lpa by SAP Lab
Wipro and TCS are companies who have a reputation of selecting candidates in bulk. Hence there are no outsanding offers unlike Amazon offered.
The avg package offered to the selected candidates was 4.5 to 5 lpa
#Mechanincal : Speaking of no of candidates placed, I can only tell you about my branch. Out of 54 candidates, 34 Final Year Mechanical students were placed before they left for their internships. The remaining 20 either opted not to appear for the placements so that they could peruse Higher Studies or they did not qualify. But that is not the end for those who did not end up getting an offer. During Internships if a candidate’s performance is good they are offered a job there itself. Those figures are still yet unknown.
Summing up, Its your academics and your personality that will fetch you the job and not the Institution. The reason for among those 20 candidates who didn’t qualify could probably be a CGPA lower than 6.0 or backlogs or poor interview sessions. So the placement totally depends upon the student and if you have it in you, you will surely have an offer.

Hey Manoj Kumar, it depends upon you, which course you want to opt according to your interest. As you should first go for your interest. And if you talk about the branches, then it is true that CSE is better than ECE nowadays. And MIT is also a good college and fees of both the colleges is almost same.
Hello Manoj Kumar, if you compare between BIT mesra and MIT manipal, then after comparing all the important things, Birla institute of technology, mesra wins with a high margin as compared to Manipal institute of technology, manipal. As on the basis of academics, placements, internships, BIT mesra is all way better than MIT.
There are several factors to consider which college is better and they're:
- Ranking:
MIT Manipal scored a rank of 20 better than BMS college of engineering scoring 40 according to Outlook ranking of best engineering colleges in 2019.
- Placements:
MIT Manipal provides better placements than BMS college of engineering.
Also, studying at MIT Manipal will provide you better practical exposure with enhanced labs.
MIT Manipal could be your first choice to pursue Electronics and Communication Engineering.
All the best, for your further career prospects!
Dear Aspirant
comparision of the two colleges is done below:
Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE Mysore)
Placements : The college provides good placement opportunities for mechanical engineering students. Almost 15-16 companies visited the college to recruit mechanical engineers for core profiles. Some companies like Mercedes Benz, Infosys, Qualcomm, Intel, BEL, Microsoft, Microchip, etc., visited the college for placements. The starting salary package offered was 5.5 LPA, and it goes up to 12 LPA.
Infrastructure : The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled with good range. Labs are maintained theyll. They have two CNC machines which you cannot get in any other college. Almost all the classrooms are equipped with projectors. They have good library facilities. They can borrow three books at once and have to return within 14 days.
Faculty : Almost 75-80% of the faculty members in the college are PhD qualified. Some of them have theoretical knowledge and no experience in their field. Some of them have practical knowledge with high expertise experience. They suggest us some textbooks to refer to. They suggest studying some topics.
Other : The college fest is one of the best fests in Karnataka. They will experience a lot of fun and memorable moments.
Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT Manipal)
Placements : The placements in the college grow up to high percentages. They have a very good placement officer. Last year, approximately 500 students theyre placed. The core companies demand an aggregate of 75% in the higher semesters with no backlogs. There are a lot of MNCs that visit the college for placements. The placement officer is trying to get more core companies to the campus so that the students can have better and bigger opportunities. The salaries depend on the companies.
Infrastructure : Manipal Institute of Technology is a huge empire which has various buildings for administration, class, and extra-curricular activities. The labs are theyll equipped and the attendants are theyll trained and are very helpful. There are gyms, TV rooms, and table tennis rooms in every hostel. The hostel rooms here are provided based on the GPA second year onwards. There are numerous canteens to choose from and the food is better than any other hostels. The hostel rooms are theyll spaced and hot water is available throughout. The classrooms are theyll equipped and have centralised air-conditioners to comfort the children and help them concentrate more.
Faculty : Every branch has highly knowledgeable faculty members and the most popular branches here are mechanical and civil. The mechanical faculty is the best. Every section has only one teacher teaching a particular subject. Most of the teaching faculty is theyll qualified, and when dealing with questions, the anstheyrs are solved understandingly.

For BE/B. Tech It is compulsory to score at least 45% marks (40% marks in SC/ST category) in physics and mathematics along with one of the subjects, i.e. Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Chemistry/Computer science. There is no entrance test for admission in Architecture. The admission is based on NATA Scores or JEE Main Paper 2 through KCET Counselling.
Hi Aryan,
Well i hope you like the subject CS and not the college from where you do it.Colleges actually doesn't matter in your success. All they do is bring you a handful number of jobs through placement which you have to earn through your skills and qualities.
Now coming to the debate NITs always have an upper hand in terms of placement because companies with good lpa prefer visiting the campuses of NITs and IITs.Placement in new NITs and MIT manipal are almost on par, whereas in new IIITs are slightly less in terms of number and salary i.e lpa.
Now the question comes who should you choose.Well in case of new NITs the total course fees is much less than new IIITs and MIT manipal. And the campus life is also better.Similarly in newer NITs and IIITs there may be problems regarding mess food, proper faculty, permanent campus, hostel stability and WiFi which is not the case in MIT manipal.Everything is pretty well organized and and everything you need to make campus life better is present but the couse fees is almost double that of NITs. Hope you get significant details from my answer and decide where should you join.Wishing you good luck
Thank you
Yours sincerely
Somenath Chattopadhyay
