The library has a collection of 20,000 volumes, the library is a veritable powerhouse of knowledge. It provides a vast and constantly updated resource to its students to ensure their overall development. The aim of the Library is to serve the needs of the faculty, research scholars, students, and members of the Library. In terms of infrastructure, Surendra Institute has time and again been a preferred destination for students from across the region for it has been rated by various independent surveys amongst the ‘Top Engineering colleges in North Bengal’. The library at SIEM is no exception for we believe that it is the heart of the institution and acts as a center of knowledge for varied subjects.SIEM has a modern & state of the art Central Library. It started its function with a vision to serve the information needs of its library users and it mainly holds books related to engineering and management. The library has a collection of about 20,000 volumes which includes textbooks, reference books & international journals. The central library supports the teaching and research programs of the Institute and provides facilities for general reading and disseminates information according to the requirement of the users. The services and operations in the central library are fully computerized. The database of the entire library acquisition has been created using “LIBSYS-4” software. The book database is accessible through OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). Circulation services are executed through the Barcode system.

Students can play various indoor games like carom, table tennis, chess, and pool in the indoor games room.

Having understood the importance, Surendra Institute has invested heavily towards developing World Class IT Infrastructure to facilitate e-learning in today’s day and age and is thus regarded amongst the ‘best engineering colleges in North Bengal’.The institute has chosen a system based on high-end servers and workstations under Windows and Linux, which provide the interconnection and exchange of information between the various systems thereby providing the students and faculty with a work environment adapted to their requirements and latest technology reflecting the standards of the computer industry. Computers, LAN, and SoftwareRecognizing the vital role played by IT in the industrial growth of nations, and especially developing nations like India, SIEM, provides its students with the best state of the art computer labs. The college has a wide range of Software, including a Campus Agreement with Microsoft, which has been installed to enable the students in mastering the many computer languages and learning to master any new technology. internet the labs have been connected to the internet, thereby providing unlimited internet access to students and faculty members. All the offices, labs, and cabins of faculty have been provided internet connectivity for 7 days a week & 24 hrs a day.

Students can have their meals on the campus in the cafeteria. The cafeteria serves healthy and hygienic snacks and meals to the students at nominal rates. There is a separate cafeteria for the faculty and office staff.

Surendra Institute houses a state-of-the-art Seminar Hall with a seating capacity of 250 people, theatre style. It is equipped with a projector to be used for various presentations and also to screen videos related to various subjects. It is also equipped with a quality sound system.

The students and members of the staff can avail of the transport facility for regular conveyance. The college buses operate from prime locations in the city and also the outskirts.

Students have access to free WIFI in the college library to facilitate a comprehensive e-learning environment.

The college has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students. Mechanics Laboratory, Transportation laboratory, Surveying laboratory, Ecology laboratory, Concrete laboratory, RCC Detailing laboratory, Environment laboratory.

An ATM of the Union Bank of India is available right outside the college gate making transactions easy for both students and staff.

The institute provides guest room facilities within the campus for students’ parents, relatives, and guests coming to meet their wards. They can avail of the facility for a brief stay along with meals from the hostel mess, and cafeteria. However, they are charged a nominal amount for the same.

The Alumni Forum of Surendra Institute of Engineering and Management, Siliguri, West Bengal, organized an Alumni meeting for all batches (2009–2019) on 25th July 2020 on Virtual mode, Google meet. The meeting started at 6 PM with the welcome address by HOD- S&H, Mrs. Nirmika Subba.
