Can i expect a call from siom nashik? Secured 82.47 percentile in snap 2020, also having 32 months of work ex and 9/9/7 academics. Please revert.
Hello Aspirant!
Cutoff for SIOM Nashik is generally around 85-87 percentile but this year, nothing can be said as less number of students have given MBA entrance exams (according to speculation). SIOM is one of the finest institutes in the country for MBA in operations management. If you do not luck out this year I would suggest try again and give it your everything next year and you might even have a shot on SIBM Pune. It is one of the best colleges for MBA in the country and the brand name remains with you forever.
Your academics are pretty decent and this will be in your favour when you go for admissions in any college. In case cut-off is achieved this year I would suggest focus on profile and general knowledge in order to clear interviews.
Hoping that you make the cut.
All the best!

hi, im a government student and i m giving 10th board this year from pune ....can ssc board student can get admission for symbiosis institute of design, pune ?for how many pecent can we get admission in symbiosis after 10th board exam? can we comlete 12 th from any college in pune?
Hello,
The eligibility criteria to be eligible for undergraduate courses offered in Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent in any stream or 10+3 diploma approved by State Board of Technical Education with minimum 50% aggregate marks for general category candidates and for SC/ST it is 45% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
A candidate appearing for the final examination of 10+2 grade or 10+3 Diploma are also eligible provided they must have passed in the qualifying exam on or before June of the admission year.
Admission is based on merit in SEED entrance exam. You have to first pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with the minimum percentage of marks mentioned above category-wise from a recognized board to be eligible.
If i got into BBA symbiosis, do i have to give enterence exam again for MBA symbiosis ?
Hello,
Based on your query you are student of symbiosis college for course BBA. But you can not get in house admission for MBA in symbiosis. Symbiosis colleges accept SNAP exam which is accepted by 18 colleges.
SNAP exam is 1hr duration exam and has fees around Rs 1750.
To know more about Snap exam you can refer to this article of careers360
https://bschool.careers360.com/exams/snap
is it compulsory to fill the symbiosis college application form with SNAP registration?
Dear Aspirant,
Having decided to attempt SNAP, there are two key decisions that need to be made –
- How many attempts you plan to appear for, and when?
- What are the colleges that you want to target?
As far the first question goes, with a maximum of two available attempts, one can decide to either utilize it and go for 2 attempts, or if one is confident, choose only one attempt. Date again is a question of availability of the slots. However, the major decision is the attempts, as the scores will be normalized and the best of two attempts (if at all) will be considered for percentile.
Now as far as the second question is concerned, the top colleges coming under SIU are SIBM Pune, SCMHRD Pune, SIIB Pune and SIBM Bangalore. There are also a plethora of other colleges offering various MBA programs under SIU. One look at the mock scores can help you figure out where to invest the application fee in. Personally, I’d apply not only to the colleges in my mock bracket of scores, but also a couple above and below. These act as safety nets to account for the D-Day performance. Also, if money is not a factor, I would advice one to consider applying for SIBM Pune and SCMHRD given that both of them are amongst the top B Schools in the country and that is a punt one can take, instead of being sorry when the result comes out, only to receive a high percentile but not have applied for the said colleges.
Now having taken the above decisions, there are two check points to be crossed –
- Fill the form for the SNAP exam
- Fill the form(s) for the program(s) in the respective college(s)
Please note that the deadlines for all of these action items are different. The deadline for applying for the SNAP exam was 30 th November 2020. However, just applying and attempting SNAP does not make one eligible for admission into any program at the various colleges. The programs have to be selected and applied for separately. Each program carries a fee of 1000 on an average. And each college has multiple programs. In order to understand the same completely, I’d advise you to have a look at the various colleges and the programs they provide in the following page – https://www.snaptest.org/symbiosis-entrance-exam-for-mba.html
Cheers and all the best!
