the college infrastructure is excellent, all around the college and with the othere colllege infrastructure. we have wifi facilites all over the campus and wifi is completely free and classrooms are fully facilitated. It has new tables and chairs good facilities in labs and moreover the class are completely air conditioned.
Academics are well good. We have good teachers who understands the students, their capability and necessity. THey are good at making the students understand the topics. The curriculum is not updated recently but it is not that old curriculum, We are not having such hard syllabus for the studies.
The number of placement in the college is high than other private institutions of similar type. the package obtained for the graduates are almost the average of the college placement package rather for our course.
I felt the college fees is well more than the required but we have enough facilities. We have an excellent library with all the facilities and thousands of books, and the library remains open24 hours. The campus is also well developed there is no space in the campus where the hands havent reached. Also the teaching and teachers are also in good interaction with the students.
Campus life is good. we have a lot of space to roam around. I usually go with my friends for campus touring when we are free and less tight schedule is found. There are a lot of areas in the campus yet to be visited as the campus is large. we also have all shoping and fooding facilities in the campus itself.
Yes, this college has all the necessary infrastructure. Three hostels(Block-A, B, C) are there. All the hostel buildings have a gym, sufficient no of rooms and washrooms with well-maintained cleanliness. Each block has its own mess which provides clean and hygienic food but of poor taste. Sufficient well-maintained classrooms, each having projectors, speakers and wifi connectivity. There is sufficient no of labs according to the necessity of the course. A swimming pool is opening soon.
I am studying electronics and communication engineering. The quality of teaching varies from faculty to faculty. But the overall teaching is good. Yes, the curriculum is kept updated according to the recent developments happening in the electronics & communication field. Basically, if you are attentive in-class hours then you don't have to study much for the exams because most of the teachers teach us in exam point of view.
According to me, placements are very good for computer science students. But for other branches, it's not that good. For other branches also have to study programming properly to get placed in a good company. Around 80% of students get placed every year. The highest package offered till now is 41 LPA and it is for a computer science student. In my knowledge, the average salary is 4-5 lakh. The placement process here is easy but not that pleasant.
For tuition fees only I pay 1,98000 per year which is I think a very large amount of money. No, I don't think I am getting my money's worth. Because I don't think, the quality of education they are giving is worth 1,98000 per year.
The campus has sufficient well maintained, international size playground is available. A full green campus with 2 big auditorium for cultural, annual function and for all indoor sports. A swimming pool and a large size modern gym are work on progress. Shops include Domino's Pizza, Chai Galli, Gazebo's, shopping mart, big multi-cuisine canteen. Support staffs are good. Location is pretty good for a study environment but very far from the main markets. You have to travel a lot for goods.
If you want a good campus life spending a large amount of money then you are welcome.
Hello,
Yes, you can opt for biotechnology at VIT Chennai, but it's important to note that the BTech . in Biotechnology program is offered at the VIT Vellore campus, not Chennai. For the Chennai campus, other PCB-related programs include BTech in CSE with specialization.
I hope it will clear your query!!
Hello,
With a 40,000 rank in VITEEE, getting ECE in VIT Chennai might be a bit difficult since the competition for that campus and branch is usually quite high. The cutoff for ECE in Chennai generally closes within the first 20–25k ranks.
However, you can still get a good chance in other VIT campuses like VIT Vellore (through lower-demand branches), VIT Bhopal, or VIT-AP. You can also consider trying for ECE in these campuses since their cutoffs are usually more flexible.
It’s always better to attend counselling and check for seat availability sometimes, ranks close higher depending on the number of applicants that year.
Thank you
All the best
Hello,
Yes, with 90.5% in class 12th board examination and average 87% in PCM, your daughter has a high chance to get admission to the Integrated MTech course at VIT Chennai, and she can get branches with high demand.
Generally, VIT offers admission to the integrated programs based on Class 12 marks (Merit-based selection) rather than any entrance exams. The cutoff for Integrated MTech usually ranges between 80–90% in PCM, depending on the specialization and seat availability.
So, your daughter can get seat in VIT Chennai.
All the best.
