Yes ..it has , Each classes has a projector which are common these days and got a massive library and laboratories are installed with branded Pcs and each people has got their own credentials so that they could use it for both wifi and login purpose.
I am doing computer science engineering and the way they teach is really good and moreover each students in there got the privilege of selecting their own time tables which is unlikely happening in any other colleges.they keep updating the syllabus year by year such that current batch gets a better knowledge than the previous batch.most of the assignments they provide are subject oriented which gives wider knowledge on the thing they learn.
They have divided placements into three categories .. 1.super dream offer 2.dream offer 3.offer..Each categories has a package limit like...super dream offer(20-25L) per annum etc..almost every people are employed except people having backlogs
The college provides maximum opportunities for students in there and more over each students gets a chance to exhibit their own talents
The infrastructure is better than many colleges in India. So I would definitely give a thumbs up for these guys of the infrastructure management. U have a big auditorium that can accommodate around 2000 members.
Some of the professors are really good here. But there are some who don't even know the basic fundamentals her. I had a physics professor ( don't wanna mention his name) he used to come to class mugging physics.. Even the way he corrected the paper was not based on the answers we wrote but purely based on our behaviour towards him. He didn't much known that he used to give less mark even if the answer was near to perfect....( As we verified it with other professors) .
Lot of good companies come to the campuses but the number of people who get place there are extremely less as compared to the huge population. But wanna join a company for the intention of getting married to a girl, you'll most probably place among the mass recruiters( hcl, tcs .etc).
Not exactly. But u can keep this as a final option of u don't get any descent College.
The friends u get here are extremely good. U have a huge diversity of Indian population here. U will get a great insight of it if u actively interact with them.
All are satisfactoryly mentioned above.
All necessary facilities are available in the campus for the use of students and faculty, labs are mostly well equipped with necessary instruments. Students are allowed to work on the computers and instruments with prior permissions. One can make the best use out of these.
The quality of teaching is extremely subjective and can't be labelled as good or bad. The curriculum is definitely at par with the competition. The quality comes down to the faculty, and definitely almost all faculty are well qualified, and some take real concern towards making people learn. The students are also given choice to choose the order of subjects and the faculty along with the time giving good options for comfortable learning from a good source. There aare also a lot of electives too
Although I haven't gone through placements, heard a lot of words on opportunity from many places even some of the big shot companies come to hire people from here but definitely it all comes down to how well one has trained to work in a place of his field.
The fee depends on the rank scored by the student the fees ranges from nearly 2 lacs and higher (one lac increase each categort ) As long as the student does well and lands in first category it js pretty good in terms of value for money
There is enough spots for rest and study, although some times some hotspots might be a little crowded.
Definitely people would prefer IIT, NIT or BITS but if the good ones among them are not available VIT is a great spot almost equally good
We have almost all the basic facilities needed for our suvival in the college. The college has many classrooms and labs with digital technology. Also we get good quality food and comfortable rooms . Wifi facility is provided almost the entire day.
I am currently pursuing electical and electronics course in the college because I am curious about the working of different equipments we use in our day to day life. The quality of teaching is very good.
The placements in our college has been awesome. Almost 95 percentage of students have got placed in different fields. The highest salary package offered is 41 lakhs per annum and average salary is 10 lakhs per annum.
My course cost around 2 lakhs per year. According to me the money they are extracting is little costly. If we consider the amount extracted by other colleges, there is a lot of difference. But the quality of teaching is amazing and because of this the course cost is acceptable.
The college considers the intersets of the students and their development. Apart from basic concepts of our subject ,they help us explore more into it by keeping many guest lectures and workshops. The college also hosts fests twice in a year.
The university is blessed with an amazing infrastructural framework which is spread across 300acres approx. It also has a gym, food outlets and a large sports ground along with that of numerous auditoriums to conduct enthralling activities and functions.
The academic background of our college is indeed prismatic and it aims towards developing a holistic approach by acquiring a interdisciplinary study routines. Most of the professors are well qualified in their respective fields.
A plethora of top notch companies interview and hire students from our college and offer amazing placements ranging from dream offers to super dream offers and plans. This has been one of the most striking features of our university.
I absolutely believe that the course I've registered for is worth the fee I've paid. It not only exposes us students to numerous challenges and taks but also give us a feel of the corporate world with the help of the projects an d assessments they implement.
Campus life at VIT Chennai is indeed a cosmic one with great vibes all around. The plush green campus outlay and other facilities, hostel memories which involve pulling all-nighters with your friends, be it for studies or entertainment are all memories we look up to.
VIT Chennai has all the required lab equipment and facilities. Even the classrooms, libraries and hostels are good. But the sports facilities are just average. For example even though its a great institution it does not still have a long jump pit or a High jump bed.
Even though they say it as FFCS, VIT Chennai Campus is still is not a complete FFCS based curriculum. Even the teachers qualities are not up to the mark of what you expect. But due to the competition of your fellow students you will be automatically tempted to explore new things.
Placements are outstanding here as most CSE, EEE, ECE, ECM students mostly gets placed in it companies. There are also some core companies visiting but to get placed in it you have to be really technically strong in your core.
If you are taking all the opportunities and making use of it then it is definitely a value for money.
Campus life here is going to be full of fun as some of the entertainment activities like music, dance and drama happen throughout the year where students engage and present it. There are two major fest Technovit, the technical fest and Vibrance the cultural fest which happens throughout the year that draws students from many colleges and universities to participate in it.
We have good infrastructure, and the labs are very good you can get good equipment for your labs, campus is surrounded with greenery, you can have wifi you have library with wifi you can may books and they are well maintained
I am studying btech CSE 1st year you have good academics here, the way they teach, the class rooms are good and you also have projectors and mostly the faculty use board and thy explainbin an detail way
You will get many companies for interview and vit is one of the best college for placements the highest package according to my knowledge is 15-20lakhs per annum and it came for computer science our college is supportive
The fees structure is based on your viteee rank if you get good rank you can get less fees if your rank is high the fees will be high, but joining here is value for money because of the faculty, exposure
The campus is very good and it is surrounded with greenery, you have ground you have bank and atm you have an health center,it is far from city but good and big campus, you can have good exposure the faculty is good and supportive
Good infrastructure with nice lab facilities, improvised lab equipments and clean atmosphere. All the labs are well - maintained and are taken care off. We can de re lab sessions if we miss any lab ckass
We can xhoose our faculty and it depends on your faculty on how they teach. Soem teach really well but some are lethargic but if the student is competent, then they can manage the academics part of it .
There are different packages regarding the placements in this particular university. Many companies and MNC s come forward to offer job....students have to maintain a good cgpa in total to get placed in better salried companied
Tjere is good value for money. But sometimes i feel this college is a money digger............. And then sometimes i feel it is worth it......it just deoends on your ouwn perspective of seeing the college
The campis life is really really awesome...we have a really big, green and spacious campus.......it gives u relaxation.........there are other amenities like swimming pool, gym, food court and ither facilities
it is a really nice college....it is only about how you use the opportunities and utilise it to the fullest of your benefit...........i hope this information will be useful...pls refer to the website for contacts
The are a lot of facilities in the classrooms and hostel. The overall infrastructure of the campus makes us feel fresh and facilities like gym, and other sports facilities are very useful. The hostel food is quite better as compared to other universities.
Currently i am pursuing fashion technology course. The overall curriculum has equal amount of technical as well designing aspect which makes it easier to underatand our interests. The elective method of academics helps us to do courses of our own interests.
Currently it is the first year of placement for the branch. Since many of the students in this course are planning to go for higher studies. The placements are otherwise good for all the pther branches.
The facilities and quality of teaching is worth the money. Frequent industrial visits and guest lectures make it more interesting and worth studying.
I absolutely love the college campus because of its various sports facilities and even the greenery around. The location is good for nearby emergency situations and other requirements.
The college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart boards and conventional boards. Living spaces are clean and the food is hygienic.
We are having a CAL setup for BTech. CAL means Continuous Assessment Learning. The curriculum is updated at regular intervals to include recent developments. The project, lab and research oriented learning opportunities provide a holistic growth and makes one job-ready.
The quality of placements is great. Almost all the students who apply for placements are getting placed. Highest salary package in 2020 was 36 lpa for ECM batch. Placement process is easy, pleasant and highly supportive.
We are indeed getting our money's worth in VIT Chennai. It provides us a great deal of exposure ranging from classes, seminars, webinars, guest lectures, industrial visits, company visits, holding technical symposiums, to working in car teams, etc.
VIT Chennai is a luscious green campus. We have green buildings which lowers CO2 emission. The campus life is great with many small eateries within campus. The faculty and staff are very much approachable. VIT Chennai campus is situated on the Vandalur-kelambakkam road. We are well equipped to handle emergencies.
It is a great college with great people. One would surely not regret being a VITian.
Hey Aruna:)
Thanks for reaching out!
Both are strong in their own fields, the better choice depends on whether you prefer electronics or software
IIIT ECE(VLSI and Embedded system)
Focuses on chip design, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration. Placement are solid in semiconductor and electronics firms(slightly lower average than CSE packages)but has stable niche roles and the campus is more academic and research-oriented
VIT CSE-AI
You'll learn coding,AI,data science and machine learning. placements are in IT and software companies, with generally higher average salaries .Campus life is vibrant with fests, clubs and activities.
Choose IIIT if you want a niche career with stable growth
Choose VIT for software careers and an active campus experience .
Hope you'll find this helpful!
Dear aspirant,
Well, for placements, a B.Tech in IT/CSE from VIT Chennai is often considered a better option for placements than a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Thapar. While Thapar has a good reputation, VIT Chennai's strong placement record in IT/CSE, especially with higher packages, often makes it a more better choice for students pursuing these fields.
Thank you.
Hello,
Between VIT Chennai and SRM Kattankulathur for Electronics Engineering with VLSI specialisation, VIT Chennai is generally better in terms of:
Placements: VIT has a slightly better placement record, especially for core electronics and VLSI roles.
Core companies: More core and semiconductor companies like Intel, NXP, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments tend to visit VIT (mostly Vellore, but some do come to Chennai as well).
Reputation: VIT has better industry recognition and alumni network in the core field.
So, if you are focused on VLSI and core job roles, VIT Chennai is a better option than SRM Kattankulathur .
Hope it helps !
