Hello !

Since you have no inclination towards coding and reside in Delhi I would suggest you to go for IITD MNC because of the following reasons :

1.Courses and course structure is really good here. You get to do a variety of cool and interesting courses. You will enjoy the course structure.
2. Department faculty is really good here . You will find some very cool professors in contrast to other branches.
3. The course curriculum is really tight in IITD. Being a MNC guy you cant expect to be holidaying. The course structure is very well planned and falling out of it will cause problems.
4. IITD also has some awesome professors in CS and electrical department along with some good courses . A MNC guy can also take up these courses if he/she is really interested in it.
5. In placements IITD performs really good. You can also apply for multiple profiles.

Dear candidate........ hope you're doing good..

Well, basing upon your rank in JEE ADVANCED, you may get admission into IIT DELHI in civil or chemical engineering. Well, in my opinion, both the branches have good job opportunities in the near future and are full of scope. You may also try for other core branches like mechanical engineering or electrical engineering which you may get in the successive rounds of counselling.

Feel free to ask your queries......

Best of luck:)

Greetings to you,

IIT Delhi is one of the top colleges for engineering in the nation. Each of its branch has been significantly good with the overall curriculum and placements. Since it is one the best, the core companies for production engineering do visit the college for internships and final job placements. Being an IIT student gives you a fair advantage over other non-IIT students. So if you do not have a specific branch preference, I would sincerely suggest you to go for production engineering in IIT Delhi.

Hi Sanjay,

The closing branch of IIT Delhi CSE, around 100, for general category.

You may try for CSE in other old IITs.

Thank You.

Hello Aspirant,  it is totally depend on you. There are two type of jobs available.

1. Core.

2. Non- core

For core jobs like chemical there are few companies which are coming for job opportunities and offered 8-9 lakh package. But for non-core there are lot of companies in which you can apply so their average package is 11-12 lakh per annum.

I hope this will help you.

Dear Reader,

With this rank getting any branch in IIT Bombay or IIT Delhi is really tough. There may be a possibility for IIT Delhi if last year's cut off is considered. Check out the possibility of branches in IIT Bombay through this link mentioned below and stay updated. My personal suggestion would be to not compromise with your branch. Choose a branch which interests you genuienly because afterall you will be addressed by your branch name not college name. So choosing an interesting branch is an important factor for your placement too.

Hi Candidate! Best branches in any colleges is highly depends on what basis you want to compare the branches. There are some list of branches which I thought is better in IIT delhi-

  • Computer science and engineering
  • Mathematics and computing
  • Biotech and electrical field
  • Mechanical and industrial production
  • Civil engineering
  • Textile engineering

I would like to say one cannot compare the branches it depends on person's interest.

Thanks

Hello student,
You have not mentioned which category you belong to. But, to procure a seat in IIT Delhi, you need to have the following ranks based on your category ,especially when it comes to Civil engineering.
General - a rank less than 3000
Obc ncl - a rank which is less than 1200
SC - a rank of around 490
ST - 80 or below.
These are just predictions based on the trends of the past years.
However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection
