Congratulations on your allotment at IIT KGP. If you have freezed the seat and got the seat allotment letter after seat acceptance fee payment on the Josaa Portal, wait for the Document Verification Date. I believe this year the process is Online and you will be given a particular slot.
Yeah since you have got IIT KGP in Mock Round 2 there are high chances of you getting the same branch and institute in Josaa Round 1. There are hardly any new registrations post Round 2 and most students dont change the order of their preferences.
All the best for
Mining Engineering at IIT KGP is a really very risky decision according to me. You should not expect any placement prospects in Core as very few companies like Vedanta, Tata Steel , ExxonMobil and Coal India, recruit Mining engineers from KGP, that too in limited numbers. Of course in non
Hello dear student
Basically both IIT are really good but If compare the both branch metallurgy and mechanical engineering than the scope of mechanical engineering is better in present or future also so I think mechanical engineering will be good in IIT BHU .
You can use visit and compare
I suggest you to go for NIT Trichy as it is one of the top NIT'S which is equally comparable to IIT'S and to choose ECE branch will be better for your future. If i say in terms of placements you will get easily with good amount of effort. But

Hey friend!
I think you should try to opt mechanical engineering from IIT BHU if you want to be branch specific as mechanical engineering is better branch than metallurgy . But if you want to be college specific then you should go for IIT Kharagpur as it is one of
As far as Non Core/IT/Finance/Consultancy Placements are concerned, both being top IITs provide substantial opportunities with good Pay scales and maximum packages lying between 14-20 LPA.

Hello aspirant,
The level of difficulty in JEE exam paper varies from one IIT to other IIT and from year to year. Yes, the question paper is set by different IITs each year but you can't assume the level of difficulty from IIT Kharagpur or any other IIT. So please,
Hello ashish,
Hope you're doing well.
Well, as you would be definitely knowing, agriculture engineering and information technology are two very different branches of B.Tech. so, your interest highly matters, as both of these branches will have studies for different fields. I'll just highlight the pros and cons of both
All necessary infrastructure and facilities are there, classrooms, labs, libraries and top notch, while hostels are old so not good. Wifi is available every time inside and near hostel. Food is kinda bad but several canteen options available so just an extra rs ₹3-4k/month required to survive at the campus
The college is great! It has all required infrastructure, facilities and equipment. From classrooms to practical lab, department everything is good. There is a grand central library , which is common to all students beside it there are independent hostel libararies, Every where there is smart quality equipments, AC, Wifi is all over the campus and yes it is well maintained. Yes the living spaces are clean and food are hygienic but taste was they are average(After all Hostel ),But there is Technology Market, and other places where there are great restaurents to eat.
Academic facilities are generally well arranged and help students carry out their coursework without major difficulties. However upgrading older equipment and improving the upkeep of shared spaces would contribute positively to campus life.
