• the average placements salary is 14.2 lpa at IIT KGP against 13.6 lpa at IIT BHU.

Since you have not stated your category I'm gonna answer this on a general perspective.

Last year's rank Cutoff for CSE  in Kharagpur was

General - 283, OBC - 119, EWS - 20, SC -72, ST - 39

Now assuming you're a general category student you'll have to score a min rank of 283 based on last year's cut-off so that means you'll have to score marks around 300 approximately to get CSE in IIT Kharagpur.

The calculations are based on previous year's Cutoff and it varies every year so don't completely depend on this but it'll be somewhere around this range.

Yes , there I a chances of you getting IIT Kharagpur at near 10000 rank in JEE advanced but it would have been easy to get it if you were around 7000 as you know it is one of famous IITs .So , large number of aspirants try for it . Iit kharagpur is currently among the top 5 colleges and is ranked third in India according to nirf 2020. It is a very good college with excellent campus and facilities and placement records. You will get a great exposure of learning. Also the syllabus is very much accurate with respect to other national level competitions like upsc or gate and you will get a lot of time to prepare for these exams.

Now on there other hand, iit goa is one of the newest iit which is still emerging and enhancing itself.

Now coming on to the branches that you have mentioned in your question :-

Aerospace engineering is one of the top and trending engineering branch and it is also very demanding branch in India.
In aerospace engineering you will get very good placements in India as well as in other Foreign countries.
The salary offered to an aerospace engineer is very handsome and making the career in aerospace engineering will be like a boon to your life specially if you get a job after doing graduation in aerospace engineering.

On the other hand, computer science engineering is one of the oldest and is the dream branch for most students in India. In India cse is at another level as compared to other branches. In any college the cse branch placements are better than other branches.

So it's very difficult to choose between these two.
If your dream branch is cse then go with iit goa, because oi your dream branch is cse then you can become successful in this engineering branch irrespective of your college.

But between these two the aerospace engineering of iit kharagpur is much better than cse of iit goa.
Also if you take aerospace engineering from iit kharagpur then you will get a tag behind your back of the third topmost college in India which will be very beneficial for you during your job. Also the career scope in aerospace engineering branch is very much better than cse branch.

As per your question, as both the IITs comes under one of the top IITs in India so likewise they also offer good placement package to the candidates.

If we look at IIT roorkee placement package then the highest package globally is around 1.3 crore and in India it is 45LPA . They offer an average package of 7 to 9 LPA CTC to the candidates.

If we look at IIT kharagpur placement package then they have highest package offer of 18LPA and an average package of 9 to 12LPA CTC.

So these are the packages of architecture offered in both of these IITs.
