Batch of 2022-01-01 | B.Tech Civil Engineering

College Infrastructure

panning 2,100+ acres (8.7 sq km) in West Bengal, IIT KGP operates as a completely self-contained town with internal markets (Tech Market), banks, its own hospital, and comprehensive sports complexes like the Tata Sports Complex and Jnan Ghosh Stadium. Because walking between the residential zones and academic blocks can take 20 to 30 minutes, having a bicycle or an electric scooter is a mandatory everyday survival tool.

Batch of 2022-01-01 | Ph.D Electrical Engineering

College Infrastructure

Spanning a massive 2,200 acres (8.7 square kilometers) in West Bengal, the campus operates as a vast, completely self-sustained city. Owning a bicycle or electric scooter is a mandatory student survival requirement just to bridge the 20 to 30-minute commute between residential wings and morning lectures. The architectural layout beautifully integrates mid-century heritage landmarks—like the historic Hijli Detention Tower—with cutting-edge supercomputing centers and advanced research labs.

I got iit guwahti fluid thermal engineering in round 4 of coap 2026 and I retained it but I want iit kgp design or thermal what should I do in rpund 5 if no other offer comes or should I go with nit design

Hello Dear Student,
In COAP Round 5 (and subsequent rounds), only Accept & Freeze or Reject are available; there is no "Retain and Wait". If no better offers from IIT Kharagpur come, Accept & Freeze at IIT Guwahati or move to an NIT depends entirely on your interest in Design
