It would be difficult to tell you the exact admission possibilities as cutoff varies every year depending on the various factors such as difficulty level of the exam, No. Of candidates appeared for the exam, performance of the candidates etc.

To get into the IIT Ropar Mtech CSE, a candidate of general category must have a minimum of 6 to 8000 rank. Even though you are from SC category your rank is of 12000 and it is too much difficult for you getting into this course. Basically you will not see automobile in the most of the college.

The automobile is the part of mechanical engineering

so if you do mechanical in iit roper then you can do job in automobile.

Given the option i would surely opt for NSIT cse as it's far better in terms of placement with regard to iit ropar and have perks of low competition in comparision to DTU but i does have a little less recognition due to dull administration
