Hello Aspirant,

See admission in IIIT Delhi is on the basis of JEE-Main score and JAC Delhi is the counselling board so first of all you have to appear for JEE-Main and then you have to register in JAC counselling board and then you have to fill the choices as per your preference and only four institutions are there in JAC Delhi board which participates for counselling. NSUT, IGDTUW, DTU and IIIT Delhi are those institutes of JAC Board.

Hey aspirant,

I wouldn't be able to suggest you with which branch you should go for. As,this is a really important decision amongst the students. You should only go with that branch in which you feel you are more comfortable and interested. It's but obvious that you wouldn't want to waste your 4 years of life in studying something in which you are not at all interested.

But yes, i can compare both of these colleges for you -

DTU formerly known as delhi technical university and is ranked 34th in NIRF ranking. It is known amongst all the students and it's a great opportunity for a student to get a seat in this college. This college has highly equipped labs and the faculties are highly skillful. Also, the campus of this college is beautiful and amazingly infrastructured.the campus size is somewhere around 160 acres. Now, when we talk about the placement statistics of this college then the highest package offered till date is around 1.02crores and the average ranges around 11.7lpa.Every year approx more than 350+ mncs come to this college.

Whereas, IIITD is ranked 56th in NIRF ranking and known amomgst the crowd. But when we compare this college to DTU in terms of placement statistics then it has even more good placement statistics i.e, the highest package offered by this college is 1.5cr(international company) and 43lpa(domestic) whereas the average ranges around 14-16lpa.

Comparatively both the colleges are good, the choice is totally upon you and based on your priorities.

Hope it helps.

Dear aspirant,

There is no girl's quota in IIIT delhi. There is only general,EWS, OBC, SC,ST categories there. And these are divided into 2 categories which is outside Delhi and inside delhi.

The cut off here generally stays under 30k. There are only two branches which is computer science and electronic and communication engineering.

Coming to the second part of the question, the minimum percentile should be atleast 97.6+ to be on a safer side.

Hello,

It is difficult to predict the rank with which you have chances of getting seat in IIIT, Delhi as it changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. In 2020 the cut off rank (AIR) was as follows for OBC candidates to get admission in IIIT, Delhi branch wise

  • CSAM: 101376
  • CSAI: 33303
  • CSB: 121887
  • CSD: 89429
  • CSE: 76360
  • CSSS: 116699
  • ECE: 156902

Considering the previous year cut off the ideal percentile score is in between 90-95 percentile or above. As discussed earlier the cut off changes depending on the above mentioned factors.

To check  the previous year cut off use the link below

Hello,

According to your percentile your rank would fall somewhere between 106392-119600. With this percentile you are not eligible to take admission in any of the IIITs but you might be able to grab a seat in these NITs, have a look-

1. National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar

2. National Institute of Technology, Goa

3. National Institute of Technology, Srinagar

4. Narional Institute of Technology, Agartala

5. National Institute of Technology, Mizoram

But you can get a seat under HS Quota, as Cutoffs are very very high for OS Candidates. And you should have scored Minmum 97 percentile to get a seat under OS Quota.
