Hi Srivastava, hope you are doing well, yes you can get iiit Delhi with your rank of 3744 ews rank in jee mains. According to the latest cutoff rank of below 8000 is sufficient to get into iiit delhi, you got less than 8000. CSE and ECE both are good and demanding.

There is difference in th syllabus of the B.Tech/B.E course only.Both the branch have equal importance and opportunities.

CSE is particularly oriented to programming,coding,Algorithms,data structures but ECE is oriented to physical structures of electronic devices .In ECE little knowledge of programming is required.

If you like programming then you can choose CSE otherwise ECE.

One of the important fact is very less number of government jobs for CSE students but ECE students have ample opportunities in public sector.

In CSE you'll work with MNC and mostly jobs are private.

Dear aspirant....!!

For getting admission in IIIT delhi, prepare for joint enterance exam …JEE MAINS . This exam is conducted online as well as offline.

Another enterance exam called UCEED too can be tried for getting into btech computer science and design . CSD can be achieved through Jee Mains too.

But getting into IIITD means you have to achieve ranks till 12000 for csd, 7000 for cs, 11000 for csam, 16000 for IT.

Incase u want ECE then a rank of 17000 wd be needed.

Also you need to have minimum 80 percent in boards to be eligible for IIITD.

Also side by side apply for other colleges too like DTU, NSIT, JAMIA MILIA ISLAMIA, and IP UNIVERSITY etc.

Most important is work hard ,try to solve past years question papers and fix yr study timings to achieve the results.

As for as I concern you cant get all these IIITs .Yeah but u can try for some new IIITs

The other, You can have the chances for National Institute of Technology Goa, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur etc. for CSE programme.

Sorry to say but there are no chance for yiu to get a seat in any of the college you mentioned above. 

As the closing rank for college like DTU , IGDTU,IITD  for lower branches is somewhere around 20k.

So I will advice you to go for some other college i.e private college like or some deemed university.
