If you are from Delhi then you can get in DTU or NSIT but if you are outside delhi student then there are very less chance.
I will suggest you to take admission in Thapar and also participate in counselling for DTU or NSIT but you can't get ECE or CSE there you can get civil or mechanical branch there.
Thapar University is alos very good it is among top 20 engineering colleges of India.
You can wait for second or third round of thapar as you may get CSE branch at THAPAR University.
Thapar University Placements are also equal to DTU or NSIT you will get good exposure and facilities in Thapar University
I will suggest you to choose the branch in which you are really interested and want your desired job in it.

Thanks mate, from Delhi here, but i got sheer interest in ECE rather than CS, although i m pretty good at CS too, so would be my second preference.

Okay than don't choose CSE, you can get ECE in third or fourth round in DTU.
But don't leave your seat at THAPAR unless your seat in DTU is confirmed.

but i got 60 k rank, don’t think i can get ECE at DTU, so are you sure about your answer? Nta messed up the ranks vs marks trend this year, i had 141 marks under my belt, still got 60 k rank.
