Hi
Your GMR is considered for wbjee and not your category rank.
This is very difficult to predict because cut off keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like
--------) number of students that appeared in the WBJEE exam
--------)difficulty level of the WBJEE examination
--------)Kind of marks obtained by the students in the WBJEE exam
--------) number of students from different categories
--------) seats available for different branches etc
But yes,
With your 701 general rank being from obc - b category,
On the basis of analysis of past years wbjee cut off data , you low have chances in Jadavapur university
For example,
In 2020 , in 3rd round of wbjee, 202 general rank for obc - b category was the closing rank for Jadavapur university for computer science

Hey!
You must mention your rank and the counseling authority for which are asking.
But in general, production engineering is not a good choice to opt as it does not have a lot of scope. But if you are interested and feel like that it is good then you must lock it. Otherwise go for upgradation.
Hope I answered your query
Thank you
hello aspirant,

I hope that this will help.
The NIOS 10+2 score is accepted by the WBJEE examination board. So as JU offers admission to the course of BTech on the basis of WBJEE, you can take admission to the JU if you have really good rank in WBJEE. Now for other courses as NIOS is a recognized board in India, you can apply for it as well.

Dear aspirant,
As far as my knowledge and opinion is concerned it is a bit difficult to predict the marks because the dynamics gets changed every year.
In my time of wbjee , i had given two times in two consecutive years so in one year the rank which i got in that specific marks was much different from the next year . However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
But if I can go with a close guess then for a sc category student it would be around 50-60+ marks.
Jadavpur University is a Government State University situated in West Bengal. The University is one of the famous one in India. Now if you wish to take admission in the History Hons. course then you need to apply on the basis of the 10+2 score. JU don't take admission entrance for the Honours courses. So you need to score really well in your 10+2 (>90%) in order to get a chance to be a part of this prestigious university.

Yes, You can get seat in B.Arch without wbjee, but you have to pay money (donation to college) for joining via JEE MAIN PAPER 2. Where as coming to WBJEE you do not have to pay donation, directly you can join in via STATE QUOTA.
Hope you have understood.
Hello aspirant,
In order to get into Jadavpur University's IT, Electrical, and Electronics divisions, you'll need to score above 130 out of 200 in WBJEE, according to recent cutoff trends. With a score of around 120, you should be able to enrol into JU's Civil, Production, or Chemical Engineering programmes but may not be eligible to get Jadavpur University.
Thank you
Hope this information helps you.
A bit underwhelming due to inadequate funding. Basic labs found in first year are not upto the mark. However when it comes to equipments, toh would probably all of them except half of them are obsolete from industry pov.
The Jadavpur University has quite old buildings. But, it has a central library with separate libraries in each department. It has 4-5 canteens at different points in the campus. It also has an Open air theatre, A gym, and a basketball court adjacent to the main ground.
The university still uses alot of buildings that are way too old and they are maintained very rarely. But, few new buildings have been built recently which is a good thing. There is a lack of adequate labs for example in my department (Economics) there is no sufficient facility. There is also lack of ACs in the classrooms.
