The campus has every necessary infrastructure. Being an ivory level university, it has excellent labs and library. With more than 25 building, each department gets adequate space to have all the required facilities.

Jadavpur University has 100% placement according it's all three faculties namely Arts, Science and Engineering. MNCs to navaratna companies come for the placement drive. The placement committee is one of the most efficient place coms across the country.

The annual fees is 990 and semester fees per term is 44. An ivory university and fee way less than you would expect

With many active clubs and societies, Jadavpur University is hands down the most engaging campus.

Of you get through the university (cut off are pretty high or with WBJEE ranks within 700), you have received your greatest reward.

Labs have all the necessary equipments, but in terms of infrastructure JU is average. You can understand that this is a very old college and funded by state government so it doesn't have the best infrastructure. Also, the location being in the heart of the city the campus isn't that big. The biggest problem is hostels are not allotted to everyone. Most students have to stay in paying guests, messes and flats.

Syllabus is similar to rest of India, very old. Also, publishing of results takes way too much time. Late publishing of suply results sometimes hamper the final year students. Practicals are taken seriously and having 100% attendance in labs is mandatory.

Placements are one of the biggest reasons that many students take admission in JU, leaving their seats in NITs and sometimes IITs too if they don't get desirable branch. Placement pages of each department is available on facebook from where stats can be seen.

Jadavpur University is the best in terms of ROI. To mention, our semester fees are 64rs, and we get our entire BE degree within Rs11k.

Campus life is very vibrant in Jadavpur University if you take up a branch in the main campus. I don't have much knowledge about the Salt Lake campus lifestyle but only a few branches present there. In the main campus there is Arts and Science faculty as well. You can enjoy fests of those faculties too. Almost all the clubs are in the main campus. Now regardless of the campus, diversity is less here. Most students are either from Bengal or Bihar

Jadavpur University is a completely ragging free campus. And seniors are very helpful. This is an amazing college, really.

Jadavpur university has all the necessary equipments which are required for my course which is required for the better understanding of the subject. Classrooms are good, labs are well equipped. There is unlimited wifi in the campus.

I study mechanical engineering since has a lot of prospects both in jobs, research and higher studies. Most of the teachers teaches well and entertains individual doubts promptly. The course makes us job ready.

The quality of the companies are very high, the number of students places every year is very high. The average package is good and the highest package from our college was most probably from the electrical engineering department .

The course costs a little over 5000 rupees per two years. As compared to other engineering colleges, the fees is less, and the money is definitely worth it, because of the teachers, and friendly enviroment.

I am happy to be a part of the college. The teachers are good, students and seniors are friendly, the environment around is friendly, the campus is big, and it didnot take a very long time for me to adapt to this college environment .

The college has very good infrastructure and it is spread over a huge area of land. There is free wifi available in the campus and all the classrooms have projectors which is very useful . Jadavpur University has a library, canteen and hostel as well.

I am currently studying an undergraduate course in mechanical engineering at Jadavpur University.The quality of teaching here is extremely good and all the professors are very friendly. Our curriculum is very up to date and it definitely includes all the recent developments.

Jadavpur university is itself known for the brilliant placements that they provide. All the branches have very good placement records with the CSE branch having an average package of around 20 lpa. 85% of the students in our college get placed.

Engineering at Jadavpur university costs you very little amount of money. 4 years Undergraduate course here costs you only 12000 rupees in total.I feel that studying here is definitely worth it.

Jadavpur unversity has 2 campuses at jadavpur (57 acres) and saltlake(24 acres) with 14 engineering departments. The practical labs and workshops are equiped with state of the art instruments and devices enabling students to have an exposure of the actual industries. The campus and the hostels are equiped with high speed internet connections. Infrastructure is at par with any state funded premium technical institute. One of the main attraction of the campus is the world class CAB cricket field.

At Jadavpur university you are ensured of getting quality industry grade education from the vastly experienced and enthusiastic faculty members who are more than eager to share their knowledge and skill. The well rounded curriculam of Jadavpur university ensures that the students are well equiped to contribute to the vastly dyanamic ecosystem of the industry. Students are also encouraged to take up hobby projects and trainings/ internships in various fields for an all-round development.

It gives me immense pleasure to say that even in these testing times Jadavpur university students have been able to successfully leave an impression through their stupendous success in the recently concluded placement season with hiring offers from the likes of Atlassian, Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, Maruti, PWC, Hero, Texas instruments, Samsung, Qualcomm and etc to name a few. The average package was seen around 8-9 LPA (CTC) with highest going upto 65 LPA (CTC) offered by Atlassian.

There is no better value for money or ROI (Return On Investment) than Jadavpur University in terms of technical education with the whole degree costing around 11k!! Yes you heard it right! that to for a bachelors of engineering degree is unheard of and comparing that to with the placement oppurtunities and placement given here, the returns seems to be exponential.

Jadavpur has a great campus life with an annual cultural feast Sanskriti and an overall rich cultural atmosphere the students find their interest in various fields and art forms and a friendly senior-junior interaction only catalizes that process.

My college Jadavpur University has a good infrastructure but some buildings are old. Jadavpur University has various types of laboratory for all the students. Equipments & the facilities ar too good in this type of fees. Jadavpur University has two types of libraries one is central library for all the students, ex-students, researchers, teachers. And another one is departmental library under every department. Every student got free high speed wifi in campus. We also have projectors in every room

I am studying in 1st year of undergraduate course of Mechanical engineering. Teachers are friendly & vary knowledgeable and always ready to clear our doubts so teaching procedures & qualities are really good. Our curriculum are updated & it helps me to developed myself in the field of my interest. This curriculum give us enough knowledge to build us for industry.

The quality of placement in Jadavpur University is really good & most of the students almost 90%+ students are placed in every batch. In the placement, packages are depend on the companies. This year highest package was 65lpa from Electrical Engineering department. Average package was 6-9 lpa. Placement process is easy & our placement sell supports us every time

In my course I paid total ten thousand seven hundred ten rupees (rs. 10710.00) for 4 year of my engineering. I paid approximately 10 to 11 thousand rupees for my undergraduate studies & I get a top class institute with lots of facilities.

We enjoy our campus life with friends, seniors & also teachers.Most of the students are engaged in many clubs & society. I personally a parts of Motorsports Club of Jadavpur University & also in a project of selecting of a disc brake for Go-kart for National level go-cart compitition. Every teacher are always ready to helps us nit only academics but also our personal life problems. The location is good, safe & easy to handle emergencies.

As jadavpur University is a state run collage the infrastructure is good but not like that of IITs but it has all amenities the campus is wifi enabled, smart classrooms , very good quality grounds , and even our university ground has a Cab ground so it infrastructure is good and our university overall structure is an historical design but it has all modern facilities available. We have 2 campus 56 acre main campus and 26 acre salt lake campus . So ultimately the campus is big enough.

I am studying mechanical engineering from jadavpur University because its my dream to study mechanical and do something innovative in automotive industry that's the reason i am associated with Formula SAE. For specially mechanical engineering the curriculum is well maintained and one of the key factor is that every yr some topic are added in 4th yr which are new technology so every yr our slybbus gets updated

This was the main reason to join JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY. Because the avarage placement %age is 87% irrespective of department . And the average ctc is 6-7 lakhs and minimum ctc is 3.8 lakhs . But highest 65 lakhs (this yr) . 100 of companies visit our campus and placement is very good . And this is only possible coz of highly active e cell . If we se placement of cs/it/ee there AVARAGE ctc is 19 lakhs. So the placement ratio is good

Jadavpur University is the cheapest collage in the world because the entire btech fees is 10,000(Ten thousend only).. and after seeing the placement , quality of professor and the ranking of University. The return of investment is very high . Just imagine my college fees is 2500 per year .

The campus is Greenery we have many fields having almost all sports grounds , gym and an open air theatre , basically OAT & GREENZONE IS OUR CHILLING area . And our University has a very big building known as world view because we can see almost whole kolkata from that building . The senior are good professor are helpful and there is compitiveness between students but at the same time there is deep friendships . Over an all the xampus life is great

It has been just 1 year in Jadavpur University but my experience is great i learnt new things made many good friends . Studied hard, participated in all clubs. Compition, and activities ,.so , over an all it was a very good experience.

Environment and atmosphere is amazing. Full campus is WiFi enabled along with Hostel. Except Swimming all sports are entertained like Basketball, Cricket, Football, Table Tennis, etc. Our college has its own Mountaineering Wall and Club.

The faculty is very much helpful and focused on solving doubts of the students. Their Main Motto is to make the student Job ready. Practicals are held along with digital classes. The courses are well updated and completed on time.

Almost all the students gets placement from this college. The highest package is RS.30 lacs per annum with an average of RS.14 lacs per annum. Every year Top Companies like Microsoft, OYO, Amazon, Adobe come for Recruitment. Around 25% of the students gets internship.

Inspite of having low fees from the students, JU provides all the necessary facilities, well equipped classrooms,laboratories. The central library of JU and has plenty of books. The campus is maintained clean and hygienic on daily basis.

I'm currently studying BE Computer science and engineering. On the one hand theoretical part we has awesome faculties who really taught as good and explain all doubts and on the other hand practicals we almost have all facilities so we can do something with real world examples.

Yes our university provides all the necessary facilities . Inspite of having very low fees from the students, JU delivers well equipped classrooms, laboratories. The central library of JU is one of the highlights of this institution having plenty of books on several topics. The campus is also hygiene maintained and cleaned on daily basis. Though some of the washrooms are not so well equipped and some buildings are very old.

I'm currently studying electronics and instrumentation engineering . On the teaching part, I have to say some of them are really really good at teaching. They help us to get a very good grasp to our syllabus. Though I think the syllabus is not to much updated . We still have subjects which has no connection to the course.

That's where the speciality of JU lies, it's astonishing placement record. It is getting more and more percentage of students to get placed year by year. This year almost 93% of students who applied for placements got job offers from various national and multinational companies with a highest offered ctc of 56lpa. Our dept. has an average lpa of 12 lakhs this year. Hands down this is the best govt college in wb for placements. Yeah, our college is very supportive in this area.

The total 4 year BE program costs only 11000 INR . And you are getting so so much in return. (For IT it's 120000 INR) . So ofcourse it's completely worth the money and facilities we get here is also make it value-for-money

Like any other engineering colleges, JU doesn't have a big campus . It's an area where I think JU lags behind a little bit. But the vibe of the campus is so high that after entering into the campus, you will forget the size or whatever and surely enjoy roaming tjrou8the campus.
