Dear student,
As per the previous years cutoff, the cutoff for cs through jee mains exam in NSIT is 1121 and for DTU is 2866. But do keep in mind the cut off usually fluctuates for each year.
Dear student,
It is difficult to recommend which of the two colleges is better for cse as they both are good colleges, but kindly go through the two links given below, there you will find all the information you will need along with the brochure of each college.

Hi Dinesh,
See, if you are getting NIT Trichy or NIT Warangal or NIT Surathkal than that is preferable over NSIT. But you should consider the branches that you are getting like if you are getting CSE in NSIT and getting Civil Engineering in top NITs that CSE in NSIT is preferable. But if you are getting like if you are getting Mechanical in NSIT and IT in top NITs then, NITs are good to go. Also, in other branches you will see a tight competition.

Hello Aspirant,
According to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the asked colleges neither NSIT nor DTU with CSE as per previous year's cut-offs which you can check out from the link given below :-

But yes I would suggest you to sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks.
Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

Hello there,
NSIT - Netaji Subhas University of Technology
DTU - Delhi Technological University
Two institution could be compared on the basis of certain parameters like campus, placement, faculty, hostel life etc. and as per your area of interest.
Look both DTU & NSIT are equally good in different fields.
DTU is much better in terms of infrastructure, and has core branches like electrical, mechanical, it also has Ac classrooms. Nsit classes do not have ACs, nsit has opened the mechanical branch 5 years back and only a few batch has yet passed out .
Faculty is better in DTU ( again it depends on the branch), and NSIT has better placement record for CS/IT with a median package of 11 Lpa whereas DTU has a median package of 9 Lpa.

I would give 4 out 5 giving 4/5 for infrastructure feels fair because the campus delivers strong academic support with modern essentials, while a few maintenance and distance-related frictions remain. The academic blocks have well-equipped classrooms and labs that support hands-on learning; access to computing facilities, library resources, and lecture halls is generally smooth and organized. Yehi balance—functional classrooms + labs + library depth—daily learning ko reliable banata hai. Campus spread is a clear positive: open, green spaces, dedicated sports areas, and a structured layout make movement logical and campus life active. Sports grounds, indoor facilities, and basic utilities (bank/ATM, medical support, helpdesks) ensure routine needs are addressed without derailing study schedules—matlab infrastructure day-to-day rhythm ko support karta hai. Hostels and connectivity add to the stability: separate accommodation blocks, campus Wi‑Fi, and common spaces help students manage academics and downtime together. Common areas and service points reduce friction during peak academic weeks—yeh subtle cheezein overall experience ko steady rakhti hain. Why not 5/5? On a large campus, walking distances between blocks can feel long, and some facilities show uneven upkeep or delayed fixes—particularly in select labs or activity areas. Kabhi-kabhi cafeteria/vendor churn and small admin delays bhi experience ko thoda affect kar sakte hain. These are not deal-breakers, but they keep it a solid 4/5 instead of flawless. Net-net, infrastructure is dependable, student-first, and aligned with academic priorities. If someone values structured learning environments, usable labs, active sports spaces, and a campus that feels like a self-contained ecosystem, NSUT’s infra genuinely delivers—4/5 is a thoughtful, grounded rating.
The campus is very big. It has modern and green campus. It has also well-maintained environment with classrooms. It has also hostel facilities. Classrooms are air-conditioned amd washrooms are neat and clean.
The campus is very beautifully built and the hostels have sufficient amenities like wifi, reading rooms, badminton court, common rooms, etc. The hostel is also nice and provides good quality food in mess and canteens.
