Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology Chennai has a separate placement cell on campus, which contacts companies and organises a placement drive. According to NIRF 2025, out of 119 undergraduate students, 95 students got selected in the placement drive 2024.

The CIPET Chennai placement cell acts as a bridge between management and students. The CIPET Chennai has achieved more than 90% of placements.
