Hello dear,

Both the colleges are good. Heritage Institute of Technology is one of the best private colleges in Eastern India.  Placement percentage in ECE course is very good,  about 80-85% of the students from our course got placed.Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology (GCECT) is one of the best colleges . Placements are good only for the students of the ceramic technology department. The placements of the CSE and IT departments are poor. So , it's better to go for heritage engineering college .

Among all the three colleges mentioned above in the query are of similar level only. However, considering the infrastructure and placements heritage institute of technology is the best among the three. You can also search for many other government colleges which are better than this

The estimated rank a individual must have to get these government colleges is around 3000 - 10000 scoring West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) rank between the above limits will definitely end up giving a seat in your desired college. These rank expectations are based on previous year cutoff trends it may not be accurate. Hope this may help you.

About 50 to 60% of the students were placed directly  in campus recruitment itself  in companies such as Wipro , PCS ,TCS, HCL, dell with an average Starting package of 3 lakhs per annum. About 1 or 2 student gets big companies IT and CSE companies such as amazon,microsoft, google etc.

Admission Process :

You must have a valid WBJEE rank along with domicile certificate in proof of permanent residency in the state of West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria :

You must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject and Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. You also have to pass individually both theory and practical in all subjects at 10+2 level for getting admission in any course of our institute.

Hello Bijoy Krishna Sarkar, you had a decenet chance to get admission in Government college of engineering and ceremic technology with 4591 category rank in WBJEE with SC Category. As the cut-off for this college is slightly high, but as you belongs to SC category, you can get admission in this college.

No it isn't the worth for information technology, if you are financially able then there many good colleges in West Bengal which offer engineering course in information technology. You can check out the cutoff of the wbjee here

Since this is a government college the fees here is low,and the campus is fairly good.
