GEC Barton Hill Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

We have a wonderful building at the corner of our college – Ladies Hostel , a secure home for the female students. This hostel is constructed in an Eco friendly manner to provide a green and fresh breath to its inmates. This is filled with 53 rooms which can accommodate 216 students including both M.Tech & B.Tech students.It provides an attractive shelter to the students, as it is adorned with spacious rooms, proper lighting facilities, study tables and required furnishings. Each of its 4 floors (including base) is lined with long verandas, which gifts you a sweet path due to an open quadrangle located at the center.

The college has health center with first aid facility for the students.

The library has a collection volumes consisting of titles in different domains of Science and Technology including chemistry, mathematics, physics, & management. Besides General Collection, the Library has segregated specialized collection having separate collection codes

The college has the sports facilities for all students.

The Central Computing Facility of the college has been set up in the EC/IT Block. It has a central server room, a lab facility of 70 desktops, UPS room and printers/photocopiers. An extension to the CCF is being operated in the Old IT Block as Internet Lab / language Lab. CCF is being managed by the Department of Information Technology.

The Canteen is a small building with a seating capacity of hundred members have separate area for the staff and students. A variety of refreshments and meals are available here.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.

The campus is completely connected by WiFi. A Ruckus Zone Director 3000 WiFi controller kept in the server room manages the WiFi access.
