The college boasts about state of the art infrastructure with well maintained campus, the classrooms have adequate light and are airy, the central library provides for all our book needs and we also have access to digital library. The college also has hostels within the campus which are spacious and affordable. The canteen of Heritage provides us with healthy and affordable foods. The lab in my department are large and maintained, however some of the instruments need replacements.
Biotechnology curriculum and faculty is one of the best not only in the college but also in the Eastern Region. Every year nearly 15 students qualify GATE from our department which has a strength of 60 students, which is quite a good number. Most of the students opt for higher studies and perform quite well there too..
Though, every year you'll hear about problems in placement, yet most of the students get placed on campus. Nearly 60-80% students get placed overall. The average package is about 3.5-4.5 lpa. Ultimately, placement depends more on your skills. I bagged a job in Biotech core company with 4.37lpa package, which is quite rare given the present market conditions. I'm grateful to college for providing me with all sorts of pre -placement assistance. The TPO cell is no doubt one of the best in HITK.
The entire cost of studying B.Tech will be nearly around 4 lacs excluding living expenses. The quality of professors are very good, most of them having PhD from reputed institutions like IIT or abroad. Even after being a private college, the fees structure is less than NITs and IITs. So, if you want to do your Bachelors from Kolkata, Heritage is definitely a very good option.
The campus life is full of ups and downs, though for the last 2-3 years we did not recieve the well known 'Eclecia' - The cultural fest of Heritage, we were all set to organize it this year, since the college even formed a students' council for the same. In previous years, the student activities were organized through clubs where the faculties were very helpful. nevertheless, there are enough activities and opportunities to keep you engaged.
I personally believe that my decision to join college had been one of the best decisions I've taken. The beautiful campus has never made me feel burdened for staying long in college. Instead, I loved college more than my friends in other colleges. A tip for the students: Do try to attend as much classes as much as possible, 4 years of college will pass sooner than you think. I really miss college, given the fact that it ended abruptly due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Great Infrastructure with modern facilities. Labs are well equipped especially Biotechnology labs and thus provides research opportunities... Lecture and tutorial rooms, classrooms are airy, spacious and equipped with overhead projectors. There are excellent facilities for outdoor+ indoor games and sports like cricket, football , volleyball, basketball, table tennis, carrom, badminton and many more. College Canteen provides hygienic and good quality foods but they are overpriced.
It is a autonomous college (but affiliated to MAKAUT) so you have to pay your full focus and concentration during class. If you want to study Biotechnology but could get into any of the NITs then you may get into this college. Same goes for CSE, IT and other departments. It provides amazing learning opportunities. Good faculty members and seniors are much helpful.
I am a Biotechnology student in this college. Commonly Biotech students are not concerned with placements except few. They opt for higher studies. Placement is average. TCS is the main company that comes to hire students.
Infrastructure of this institution is quite good . Library, laboratories, classrooms , buildings are clean enough . But canteen should be improved . The food quality of canteen should be improved according to the price of it.
Teachers are very helpful. They co-operate the students very well . Their lectures , presentation help the students to improve in academics . Through the assignment, extra classes , class tests they clear doubts.
Quality of placement is not bad, but it needs to improve more. As a student of biotechnology btech , we don't get much chances to be recruited in core companies . So this institution should look into this matter.
It costs 45k avg per sem, 2lakh for entire BTech course, which is considerable for a good engineering college . But in some laboratories , instruments should be improved and of enough quantities so that individual student can practice on it .
College campus is quite pleasant. But the college needs to improve its canteen. The food they serve in canteen is average according to the price they charge for it . And for its odd location, the college should serve a bus service for all students from Ruby hospital.
Location of this institution is near anandapur, which is 2km from Ruby hospital. Sometimes students get difficulty to get auto to reach the college . The institute should serve bus service from Ruby hospital , so that students can easily reach college without getting in trouble. But the institute serve this kind of facilities only for faculties.
Heritage provides an infrastructure which is quite satisfying. We are having digital library for getting the last year question paper. It has ground for our sport activities. The infrastructure is really good .
The teachers are always helpful for our doubt. They alway support us in our study topic . We really learn well for practical working. If an student puts an effort in their study he or she can sure do well.
Placement is quite good from IT companies. Core companies for biotechnology work are their in heritage but the number is less...........................................................................
Well facilitated labs, airy classrooms, state of the art equipments. Flexible college timings, a library with everything under one roof. And the canteen can easily compete with any food joint in town.
Teachers are always available for you. Availability of teachers are better than schools infact. Be it one on one or in a group, if you half a doubt, you have someone to solve it. I will not give the fake impression of every teacher is great, but those who are, they are the best in town.
I haven't been a part of any placement session yet as am not in my final year yet but I have heard HITK offers one of the best campus placements in town. It's one of the best in Eastern India without any doubt.
The college has a very good infrastructure. The campus is very big. The labs, libraries, hostels and canteen are very well maintained. The labs have the latest equipments. Everything is not perfect. But everything about the infrastructure is good enough to make you feel good about the college altogether.
I personally am studying Biotechnology. The quality of teaching is good. The curriculum is updated and it does include all the recent developments in the field. The labs have the latest equipments which help us gain knowledge about the field easily.
The placements vary with respect to the stream. CSE and IT have very good placements but they don't get a good package. The average package is around 3.5 lakhs while the highest package was around 16 lakhs.
The campus life is very good. There are no scary seniors like most people say. The seniors and tea hers are very helpful. Within just 1 year of being in this college I have made many memories in the campus.
Yes our college does have all the necessary infrastructure and equipments and all are well maintained. The equipments include smartboard ,well maintained sports ground ,well maintained library and hostels. The living spaces are clean and the Food is hygienic.
I m studying B tech in Biotechnology . The teaching quality is good, the teachers a lot of hardwork for completing the courses. The curriculum is updated and is the notes given is helpful for the students. The curriculum includes all the recent developments in the field of study .
The quality of placements every year is good. I am currently studying in 1st year so I don't have campusing experience yet . The average package given is also good for a student getting Sgpa over 8 . Overall the placement for all the streams are good .
44 thousand approx per semester. Yes I feel the money is really worth it as in Heritage the environment is so pleasant as well as the teaching quality is good.
Campus Life is awesome at Heritage. There are club activities which are held such as dance drama sports etc. The college has its own Rotaract club and NSS club which are worth getting in . The location is also ok and there are college buses .The place is safe the college authorities can handle any sort of emergency.
Worth getting in for a whole new dimension in life
College gives you a great scope to study . Labs are great and well equipped . Best infrastructure in Kolkata . I would say that it is the best college in Kolkata . Professors are really great and useful .
Excellent academics . Students are really studious here . Professors are kind and helpful . The lab assistants are so kind and soo helpful . It is a great pleasure studing in such a reputated institute .
Good quality placement 100% placement. Everybody gets a good and reputable placement bin Heritage institute of technology . The package salary is quite handsome . I would suggest you to work hard enough.
Worth every penny . You should pay the college because it has a great insfratuctute and a great campus. Worth the money . The fest , the fresher's , the other events in college everything is so great and the money spent on them is a lot
Best experience in campus till date . Seniors are great . So good and so fun . My college life is the best I would say . Everyone should join this college to get a good college life . No uniform , so you have your freedom
Outstanding and superb. Overall great and I did not have any bad experience in college campus till now. Will keep updating later and I spent more years in my college . It gives you a lot of freedom studying in this campus
Infrastructure is good. Laboratories are well maintained with latest equipment. All classrooms are clean with proper furniture, elevators are present in all buildings. The halls are also well furnished and air conditioned. The canteen is clean and hygienic. The library is one of the best.
I'm studying biotcech because I've always loved the subject. In the first year we haven't studied a lot of core biotech material but what ever we have learnt is well updated. The subjects we have studied make it possible for us to pursue a career in any stream.
Most of the placements in college go to the computer science and IT departments. No core companies recruit biotech engineers and our only choice is to take a job in data entry which isn't our field or study masters.
The college provides a lot of facilities including co curricular activities but the course costs approximately one lakh twenty thousand a year which is a lot. The faculty is top notch yet the money is too much for the course.
The college campus is located on the outskirts in a silent locality, so there always is peace and focus. The students are very friendly and dedicated teachers are supremely helpful and support staff is always available in times of need.
The lab infrastructures in departments of mechanical and electrical engineering are not very well maintained. Otherwise the campus has all the facilities of wifi , smart boards in classrooms , etc. It also has a well maintained canteen which provides healthy & tasty food to the students at a reasonable price, maintaining hygiene.
Im studying biotechnology because i have an interest in bio oriented research. The curriculum of this stream is well updated and is beneficial for the entrance exams like GATE, GRE etc. The curriculum is precise as well as fulfill the educational needs.
The placements in this college is average. If you want to persue main stream engineering, this college won't be much beneficial in terms of placement. But for biotechnology and chemical engineering, which demands higher studies, the college has a high success rate.
It costs roughly 44,000 per semester. I think it's really worthy of it, because of its infrastructures, facilities and also the grand college events which take place every year.
The college has got a big and well maintained campus. It is absolutely safe as there are guards in front of all the 5 gates and the college is entirely under CCTV survillience
This is indeed one of the best private colleges in India for engineering. If u want to persue biotechnology engineering, then this can be good option.
