I studied in Indian Maritime University kolkata (Batch of 2024). Hostel facilities are quite good in our campus. Central library was full of books related to marine engineering. Basketball court and a large playground were also available in our college premises.

Marine engineering was the main course in the undergraduate program in our college. Professors helped a lot in practical classes. We have to complete practical and theoretical lab file before the exam. Workshop technology was main practical lab.

In recent five years, placement ratio of our college was at about 86-88%. Basic eligibility of on campus placement was no backlogs in any paper. First rank was offered after joining was trainee marine engineer. Average salary was 5-6 LPA.

College infrastructure is moderate. Swimming pool, playground, college canteen, dispensary, central library, marine workshop, simulator lab, computer lab, auditorium, assembly hall are available in our campus. Hostel facility is in moderate condition.

I am studying in final year of four year B.tech marine engineering course in this college. Professors were very knowledgeable and experienced. Specially boiler, engine machinery, lathe machine, drilling machine are covered in our syllabus.

Placement is overall good in our campus after completing graduation. At about 80-85% placement ratio is maintained by placement cell of our college. Foreign shipping companies are main recruiters from our college.

It has many interesting places like workshop to make parts, laboratory, project room ,auditorium to performance and demonstration the project , playground to different spots to play , dormitory and mess.

It's very interesting to study and teacher are giving practice demo to students for their experiences. Take students to participate in every working to get ready for any problem to contact and give the base of engineering.

It gives each and every one change to give the base to company to show the value to the person , and it gives students platform to show the value and make them place and give opportunity to make bast of them to get job.

IMU Kolkata was a prestigious institution for marine engineering. There was a good swimming pool and gymnasium facilities which I used regularly. A large playground and basketball court were available in our campus.

Academics is overall good in our course. I completed four year Btech marine engineering from this college. Seriously there was a good quality teaching from our experienced professors. Marine workshop and simulator labs were main practical exam paper in our syllabus.

In last five years, IMU Kolkata maintains 85-90% on campus placement record. MSC, Pacific Basin, Chevron, British Marine, Rubicon Maritime, Sanmar, MOL, Genco etc shipping companies were main recruiters in our time.

College infrastructure was overall good. Main academic building was built in 1950s. Computer lab, Management special classroom, lecture hall, college canteen, hostel facilities were in very good condition in our college premises.

I completed MBA International Transport & Logistics Management on 2026. Faculty members and HOD mam were too friendly and helpful. They helped us a lot in practical class. Logistics management and trade route were covered in our syllabus.

I got job in kandala port in Gujarat as a logistics department employee under Shipping corporation of India. This type of shore jobs were provided on campus placement program. Average package in starting rank is 7-8 LPA.

IMU Kolkata is only government marine engineering college in West Bengal. Regularly parade practice continues in the campus. This is a paramilitary college. Auditorium, smart classrooms, marine workshop, simulator lab, large playground are available in our campus.

This is a four year programme. I am pursuing B.tech marine engineering in this prestigious institution. Marine workshop technology, auxiliary machinery, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics etc are main fundamental parts in our syllabus.

Placement of IMU after completing graduation is overall good. In previous batch, college Placement cell maintained 86 - 88% on campus placement record. Specially shipping company and dockyard company are main recruiters.

IMU Kolkata is very good campus for B.tech Marine engineering. Hostel facility is moderate. Wifi is available in our hostel. Gymnasium, Lecture hall, auditorium, college canteen, marine workshop and computer lab are available in our campus.

I am studying in final year of four year B.tech marine engineering in this college. Marine engine related paper like marine auxiliary, marine machinery system, marine internal combustion engine are main topic in our syllabus.

Indian Maritime University kolkata campus was established on 1948. Swimming pool, well decorated classrooms, college canteen, computer lab, central library, lecture hall and auditorium were available in our campus.

I studied MBA in International Transport & Logistics Management from this college. Professors were very knowledgeable and serious. They helped us lot in management papers. Transport and logistics related subjects were mainly covered in our syllabus.

We had only thirty five students in our batch. All of my classmates got placement on campus after completing MBA from this college. Port logistical analysis, shipping related transportation related jobs were mainly got after MBA.

IMU kolkata is one of the best campus for marine engineering. Hostel facility is overall good. Basketball court, swimming pool, smart classrooms, dispensary, auditorium and lecture hall are available in our campus.

I am studying in final year of B.tech marine engineering in this college. Professors are very good and helpful. Main engine, workshop technology, marine boiler, marine internal combustion engine are main topic of our syllabus.

Placement from this college is overall good. From our immediate senior batch, at about 92% got placement in shipping companies. Average salary of first sailing is at about 5-6 LPA. Highest package is 10 LPA.

College infrastructure was overall good in our time. We stayed in ladies hostel which was truly neat and clean. AC smart classrooms, swimming pool, big playground, basketball court, auditorium and lecture hall were available in our college.

I completed B.tech marine engineering (Batch of 2023) from this college. Professors were very knowledgeable and experienced. Main engine of ship as well as lathe machine, drilling machine, grinding machine were main machinery in our workshop.

Placement of IMU kolkata was seriously amazing. 90% students got on campus placement in various shipping companies from our batch. I joined MSC company after completing graduation. Average package of starting rank was 5-6 LPA.
