Hi,

Only academic wise, IEM is a slightly better option than Techno India University.

But here’s what you need to know about both the colleges -

IEM:

• The college is critical about time, you need to bw always on time for lectures and other events.

• The college has discipline, punctuality, and strictness when it comes to studies. There’s a strict dress-code in place.

• The scope and exposure during and after your btech degree is better than many colleges in West Bengal.

Techno India University is much more flexible in case of rules, and dress code. But, in my opinion Techno Main Saltlake is a much much better college than Techno India University in every aspect.

Techno India colleges arrange workshops, seminars, tech fests for hands on practise of the students.

Plus, CSE is anyday a better branch than CSE and business. So I’d suggest go for just CSE.

You can check out the placement records of Techno Main Saltlake by clicking on this link - https://www.careers360.com/colleges/techno-india-salt-lake/placement

Hello Ankit Kumar,

As your profile suggests that you are Jharkhand domicile candidate and did not mention your Caste Category, so I'm considering it as General Category and providing information based on it.

For your WBJEE rank based on previous year's cut-offs of round 3 of WBJEE Counselling it is difficult to get Computer Science Engineering branch in Institute of Engineering and Technology, West Bengal. But cut-offs varies from year to year and depends on many factors.

You can predict Colleges you can get for your WBJEE rank using below mentioned College Predictor Tool.

Hello there

If I say about placement wise then yes it's a good college to do your BTech but if you are expecting to get high packages then you shouldn't consider it as it offers mostly 5 to 6 lakh per annum on an average and If in case you are talented enough then you might get the opportunity into that companies in which you want to join and can get upto 15 lakhs per annum. But yes placement record is good at this college no doubt. T he companies like TCS ,Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and some more came here and usually place the students. And in CSE mostly students gets placed.

I hope it helps you!

Thank you!

College Infrastructure

it does have moderately good facilities when compared to other colleges in kolkata (other than JU and IIEST shibpur as they are in a league of their own) but when compared to other top colleges (iem claims to be a top college), it falls short and it falls short by A LOT

My college is best in all Courses.

One of the best infrastructure maintained with the equipment needed. Faculties are the best in business best in there field all are the rich in experience in there perticular field. Absolute clean and greeney.

its a good college to study and placements.

College Infrastructure

It has modern classrooms, good labs, and a central library but limited space and several wifi and network issues. Infrastructure is decent but not so good. But they have ac which is good for this summer.
