Y Divya , Yes it is possible because you are also from the same branch or even you can attend for the placements in cse conpanies even though you are an ECE student. ... Ece students are no less than a Cs student ,they have a grip on many programming languages too and also especially Embedded C language,VLSI.

As the the information you have given if you want get the seat in  top colleges you will get branches like eie, chemical engineering, power engineering but if you want get branchs like cse,ece,eee  you won't get top colleges but the free seat will be according to your preferences.

Hi aspirant, since you got your EWS category rank as 43K so may be your general AIR would be above or near to apporx. 210K. and dear on this rank you may not get any NIT institute. Ok! So what you can do is you may try for any Government funded Institutions or the path to private engineering institutions. Overall you can go to any GFTI's or any private institutions based on the rank you have obtained.

The joint seat allocation authority conducts the counselling for admission to various undergraduate courses for NITs, IIEST, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and Other-GFTIs and IITs only.

The eligibility to take part in jossa counselling on the basis of jee main exam is candidate should Secured a rank in JEE (Main) 2020 B.E./B.Tech. Paper for B.E./B.Tech. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs.

Filling-in of choices on the online portal is free of cost, i.e., candidates are NOT required to pay any fee. The  candidate are required to pay the seat acceptence fee only when they want to confirm the seat alloted.

So if you wish you can register for free yourself to jossa counselling. However woth 49 percentile your chances. of admission are very less.

You can try for maharashtra state cet counselling for admission to various engineering colleges either through jee main or through mh - cet.
