The infrastructures are good and the classrooms are pretty windy. It has both AC and NON AC Classrooms. The seating arrangements are also well mannered and every bench is at a good distance from the blackboard with smart boards in all classrooms.
Acedemics are good and also the results of the college have been outstanding. The internal dates are only informed a bit late otherwise the overall system is good and the acedemic reports are also promising.
The placements are pretty good. Almost everyone gets placed from this college as far as i heard. The placement assistance provided is also good with interview training inside the college itself. Overall placements are good.
I would recommend this college to everyone because of the education friendly atmosphere. The campus environment is also very good. The campus also has many safety measures in the college.
The infrastructure at Netaji Subhash Engineering College is quite impressive for a private engineering institution in Kolkata. The campus is neatly maintained, providing a clean and green environment that feels welcoming. Classrooms are equipped with proper benches, projectors, and fans, making regular classes comfortable. The laboratories are fairly well-stocked with modern equipment, although occasional updates in machines or computers would be appreciated. The library is spacious and hosts a good range of academic books and journals, as well as e-resources for reference. Free Wi-Fi is available at certain campus hotspots, which is helpful for research and assignments. Sports facilities are available for cricket, football, table tennis, and badminton. While some infrastructure may show normal wear and tear, overall the college ensures students have access to the resources they need for academics and extracurriculars. On the whole, the college offers a convenient and supportive infrastructure for holistic development.
I am currently pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at Netaji Subhash Engineering College. The teaching quality here is quite satisfactory, as most of the professors are knowledgeable and approachable. They not only cover the syllabus diligently but also encourage us to go beyond the textbooks through seminars, coding contests, and project work. The syllabus is regularly updated to keep up with the latest industry trends, and we have subjects like Machine Learning and Data Science as electives, which is really helpful for placements. The assignments and projects assigned are hands-on and make the learning process much more engaging. The classes can be a bit theory-heavy at times, but we do get opportunities to work on practical applications, especially during our final year. Overall, the curriculum is well-structured and certainly helps in making students job-ready if they make good use of all the resources and guidance provided.
The placement scenario at Netaji Subhash Engineering College is fairly decent, especially for Computer Science and IT students. From my batch, about 65-70% of students were placed through campus drives. Several reputed companies like TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, and Accenture visit the campus each year. The highest package offered last year was around 10 LPA, which went to a Computer Science student, while the average salary package is usually between 3 to 4 LPA. The placement cell is quite pro-active; they organize pre-placement talks, mock interviews, and aptitude training sessions, which really help in preparation. However, the number of core companies visiting for non-IT branches is still limited, so students from those streams often have to apply off-campus. The overall process is straightforward and well-coordinated by the placement team, but students with good technical skills and communication abilities definitely have an edge.
My B.Tech course at Netaji Subhash Engineering College costs about ₹1.55 lakhs per year, so over four years, the total fee is roughly ₹6.2 lakhs. I feel the expense is justified because the college offers a solid academic environment with well-equipped labs, good infrastructure, and frequent campus placement drives by well-known companies. The placement opportunities—especially for Computer Science and IT—are strong, and many students from my batch secured jobs with starting salaries ranging between ₹3 to 6 lakhs per year. When considering the fee structure compared to other private engineering colleges in Kolkata, NSEC is reasonably priced for the resources and opportunities available. The curriculum is regularly updated with relevant industry topics, and the teaching staff are supportive. There are also plenty of technical and cultural activities throughout the year, making campus life engaging and giving students a chance to develop beyond academics. Overall, I do feel I am getting my money’s worth, thanks to the quality of teaching, infrastructure, and the job opportunities the college provides at a relatively affordable fee. If you are looking for a good balance between cost and career prospects, NSEC offers good value for money
Campus life at Netaji Subhash Engineering College is lively and welcoming. The best part is the positive atmosphere—there’s always something happening, from technical fests and hackathons to cultural festivals, sports events, and club activities. The campus itself is clean, green, and spacious, with plenty of places to hang out between classes or work on group projects. Students here are friendly and cooperative; it’s easy to make friends since everyone shares similar academic goals and interests. The teachers are generally approachable and supportive, while the support staff are always ready to help with any administrative or technical issue. The college is located in Garia, which is a peaceful and accessible area of Kolkata, with good public transport and plenty of shops and eateries nearby. Safety is taken seriously—security guards are always on duty and entry is well-monitored. There are basic medical facilities available on campus, and emergency protocols are in place for any urgent situation. One thing that could be better is the variety of food in the canteen; sometimes the menu feels a bit limited. But overall, campus life here is enjoyable, with a good mix of academics, extracurricular activities, and opportunities for personal growth.
Everything is good with good teachers and a healthy environment for students. Teachers are outstanding and infrastructures are overall good. It has good lab facilities and hygiene facilities. Overall the college is good for students.
It has high acdemic success rates. Campusing are good and most importantly attendence is monitored. Teachers are very helpful with studies and mentioning the study material system, college provides all for free from its library.
Its has a high placement rate with good package in very good companies. More than 150 companies come for campusing in this college and students get placed at good positions so overall campusing is very good.
My own expirience is quite good in this college as it has not much high paying college fees. Its good for middle class people for its reasonable fee structures. And the college provides many scholarships too.
All good
Netaji Subhash Engineering College (NSEC) boasts a well-developed campus with modern facilities. The classrooms are spacious, laboratories are equipped with the latest tools, and the library offers a vast collection of books and online resources. However, some areas could benefit from better maintenance.
NSEC provides a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs with an updated curriculum. The faculty is experienced and supportive, though the teaching methods could be more interactive to enhance student engagement. Regular workshops and seminars add value to the learning experience.
The placement cell at NSEC is active and works diligently to bring reputed companies for recruitment. Top recruiters include TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, and Capgemini. While core engineering placements are improving, students often need to proactively seek additional opportunities.
The tuition fees at NSEC are reasonable compared to similar private engineering colleges. With decent academic resources and placement opportunities, the college offers good value for money for students aiming to build their careers.
NSEC offers a vibrant campus life with numerous clubs, fests, and extracurricular activities. Sports facilities and cultural events add to the holistic development of students. The location in Kolkata ensures easy access to city amenities, making the overall experience enjoyable.
Netaji Subhash Engineering College is a solid choice for aspiring engineers, especially for those looking for an affordable yet quality education combined with an active campus life.
I'm constantly impressed by the beauty and functionality of our campus. The architecture is stunning, with a mix of modern and traditional styles that reflect the college's rich history. The cafeteria serves a wide range of delicious and healthy food options, and the student lounge is a cozy spot to relax and socialize. The campus is surrounded by beautiful gardens and green spaces, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of college life.

Yeah fees are very less compared to other colleges
This college have huge campus. It has a board room specially dedicated for conducting interviews apart from well equipped lounge room. Well maintained buildings and laboratories. Library has equipped with good range of books.
Faculties are highly well educated. They always guiding students and helping everyone. In my time it's a many faculties are helping me so much for that I don't need any extra coching. They are teaching techniques also very good.
They try to give students a experience of industry so they also provide good internships. Also they find good placement opportunities for students. They always try to be helpful for every student. Staffs are also good.
Our college has all necessary facilities such as Wi-Fi, good laboratories, excellent classrooms and a library with a huge collection of books. Our college lacks hostel facilities which is absent in most private engineering colleges of Kolkata.
I am studying Mechanical Engineering as this is the evergreen branch. Quality of teaching is good and teachers in our college are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are highly qualified and carry a great amount of exposure.
TCS, IBM, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys and well-known firms recruit on our campus. Top roles offered in our course are system engineer, software developer and placements happen in core engineering sector also. College also offers some classes to improve our personality.
The classrooms are spacious, well-lit, and equipped with modern teaching aids such as projectors and whiteboards. The seating arrangement is comfortable, and the ventilation system ensures a conducive learning environment.
The college offers a comprehensive and updated curriculum that aligns with industry standards and academic requirements. The curriculum is periodically reviewed and updated to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
The college has a dedicated placement cell that works tirelessly to facilitate job opportunities for students. The college has also ties with leading companies and organizations across various sectors.
The college provides good-quality education with a curriculum that is updated to meet industry standards and academic requirements. Students receive value for their investment through access to experienced faculty, modern infrastructure, and comprehensive academic resources.
The campus boasts a wide range of student organizations and clubs catering to various interests such as sports, arts and community service. The college hosts numerous events and festivals throughout the academic year, including cultural fests, tech fairs, sports tournaments, and academic symposiums.
The classrooms are equipped with blackboards, attached desks, and benches with small windows. The books in the library are not well-maintained, dust is all over them all the time. The college campus is WiFi-enabled. There are no canteens inside the campus.
I was admitted to the course Bachelor of Business Administration, it was one of the best colleges for this course at that time. The quality of teaching is good. The curriculum is updated and it includes all the recent developments in the field.
The quality of placement is okay but it would have been great. There is not much scope for the BBA candidates. Placement opportunities are only for engineering students. There were 90 students in my batch, out of which only 15 were placed. Since the knowledge that the college provided was good, it helped me to get a good job off-campus.
I paid Rs 42000 per semester. The course fee was quite high among all other colleges in Kolkata. The money that I paid was not worth it as per the behavior of the placement office. We students look for colleges or institutions that can help us get a good job in the end. However, the placement office told me to look for a job outside, since they will not be able to provide us.
The college used to hold inter-departmental events and inter-college debates and competitions. Students took an active part in various events all around the year. Classes were not regular at that time, but every alternative day there used to be some type of event. The location is very safe, but toto was the only means of transport to reach the college and during rainy days you have no other option but to walk.
Just for the sake of getting a BBA degree, students can opt for this college.
Netaji Subhash Engineering College has the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and modern equipment that are required in the smooth running of a recent time institution. The classrooms are fitted with small windows and are not so spacious. However, they are well maintained. The food is hygienic.
I took admission for the course Bachelor of Business Administration. I found this college was offering the course at lower fees as compared to the other institutions in those times. The quality of teaching is moderate and most of the time the teachers are absent without prior notice. Students have to wait for the entire day before they are actually informed to leave.
The quality of placement is below average. There is actually no placement opportunity for the BBA students. It is only for the Engineering and BCA students. 30% of the students were placed during my time. The rest were told to look for jobs from outside.
I paid a sum of Rs 30000 per semester. The course fee was obviously less, as compared to the other BBA degree colleges at that time. But the knowledge they gave their students was not up to the mark. The teachers only shared bundle of notes, instead of enriching the students with knowledge.
The college used to hold inter-college competitions and inter-departmental debates once annually. They used to encourage the students to take part in various social works, so as to sharpen their skills and knowledge. The support staff is somewhat okay. Yes, the location is safe.
Hey Sajal:)

Congrats on getting a great WBJEE rank of 5075!
At your rank both are open to you for CSE,but the choice depends on what you value more.NSEC is know for its placement record. Top recruiters visit, the average package is higher, and it has stong
Hello,
Choosing between RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) and Netaji Subhash Engineering College (NSEC) for MCA depends on your priorities regarding attendance and placements.
1. Attendance:
While official policies at both institutions generally require 75% attendance, NSEC is typically perceived as being more lenient with attendance enforcement. This leniency
