For 4 years of my under grad studies I had lots of time to study and learn new things, all the thanks goes to this college for providing lots of holidays and freedom to the students. Faculties are mostly supportive but are immune to perception of advanced knowledge in their domain. Alround this college is awesome.

NSEC is one of the best engineering colleges in Kolkata. The college Infrastructure is very good and the labs are well equipped. Faculty members are very helpful at times. But lack of a hostel and campus are one of the drawbacks. Otherwise the college is very good and recommended for studying engineering.

I Joined this college a bit late and was very nervous for the first day. But my first day in the college was not bad at all, the classroom environment was very nice, all the students were friendly and the teachers were also not bad as I felt in my first encounter. Overall the college faculty is above average, few teachers will make you made, but that's for all you good.

Best Exposure but Bad Infrastructure

I joined NSEC in the year 2016 by WBJEE'16. Now I'm pursuing CSE from here. The infrastructure is not very good but the main things - (I) Faculty Members as well as HOD's are good and (II) The placement which is above 75% in average. These year from CSE , only TCS took 52 graduates , Which shows it's capability to place students after the 4th Year. In Engineering everyone looks for Placement. So It was the best college for me in my Rank.

Excellent digital open access library with latest editions of huge number of books and journals. Good modern laboratories with latest equipment. There are a number of good quality industry exposed faculty. Due to the absence of hostel facilities most of the students reside in the nearby messes. Campusing is good and a good number of companies visit every year. Domain knowledge training, beyond curricular training, soft skill training, campus connect training, industrial training are organized throughout the year. Beside these experts from industry and academic institutes are frequently invited to deliver special lectures before the students for their exposures. Seminars and workshops are also organized by the college for the students.

I had a great experience through out. Faculty members r very helpful. Non teaching staff r not so cooperative and they r rude too. Placement is good. No canteen and playground but open common room and a badminton court. College facility is fine... Class room r big. HODs r very helpful. Lot of other activity other then study. Didn't had to face any raging.

Teaching staffs are excellent, well equipped laboratories, excellent library facility where one can borrow 10 books at a time from the wide range of books available. Huge assistance of facilities on several grounds. Placement needs improvement and Industrial exposure should be enhanced. The college is NBA accredited. There is no college hostel but numerous messes are the that run under the supervision of college. There is a Biomedical Engineering course offered, which is quite rare. The college has a large space and it is still expanding.

NSEC is the oldest private college and among top engineering college in West Bengal . It has no playground , no hostel facility and also it is in village area of Garia . Some private hostels are available , but has limited quality . Faculty members are good in teaching and most of them are from Jadavpur university . Here are students mostly from West Bengal , Jharkhand and Bihar . You can imagine college life is not going to be very good without playground or college hostel . But it is satisfactory . It has good placement record for the department of ECE , CSE , IT and BioTech . Recruiters are mainly TCS and few other are WIPRO , Infosys etc. You can join this college , it is not do bad .

My 3 years college experience was good not the best.

The infrastructure of college was not good. We had various problems . At the time of admission the college is saying that to take admission in the course you need to have 50% in overall and any students from any stream can join. But the main problem is like that at the time of campusng the companies are wanting students with 60% overall grade and not only that through out 4 semisters maths is there, from that point an arts or a commerce student is going through problems and as result they are getting supply in maths. due to less % many of them are not getting jobs. I am disatisfied with my college.

Netaji Subhash Engineering College is one of the first private engineering colleges in Kolkata, established in 1995, it is now under the Techno India Group. There is a huge diversity in terms of streams offered in the college and is particularly good in CSE, ECE and EE. Due to the recent expansion in Civil and Mechanical, the infrastructure is left lacking and there is no facility in core placement. Faculty in EE was good during our time but many of them left after we left. College life was very relaxed and there was little pressure on us at least from the college side. Placement is mostly offered by IT companies like TCS.

Teachers are damn punctual, I get to wait outside the class even if I'm 2 minutes late. Placement is good only for computer science, IT and ECE. The faculty is good but I don't really like everyone's teaching style, some are boring too. The Cultural fest is good but the technical one sucks big time. Another good thing about the college it fetches, at least, one training opportunity for every student. The college campus isn't that large but we are quite happy with what we got as long as teachers finish their syllabus in due time and placements are on offer

Netaji Subhash Engineering College is one of the oldest private engineering colleges in West Bengal. It also ranks among the top five private engineering colleges in West Bengal. The college has very well equipped labs. Professors are extremely helpful. The college environment is very amicable. The recruitment scenario as per this year looks extremely positive. It has received a Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) grant.Phoenix, the tech club of the college is well known all across West Bengal. The most added advantage is that it is 100% Ragging free campus. The cons of the college is it has noo college hostel. All my friends coming from other states had to stay in messes or PGs.Strikes are a very common phenomenon and nowadays are a part of the annual curriculum.

Placement is a concern ,however better than other colleges in West Bengal, Comparing to colleges nationwide the college stands nowhere. No Hostel facilities and no campus either. Other part is that it lies in a village far away from city area.I won't recommend this college.

Netaji subhash engineering college is one techno India’s colleges in Kolkata. The infrastructure is pretty poor and placements are limited. All department students get a job in TCS other than that placements are near negligible especially for the core stream as they don’t get the proper training or placement. Faculty of some departments like CSE etc have good faculty rest are not upto the mark. No significant industry exposure as such. Administrative staff's performance is disappointing to say the least. All in all one would not want to be in this college especially if he or she is willing to take up engineering as his or her profession

Academically, I'd say the college is well equipped. However apart from academics, the college doesn't give enough room for extra curricular or a decent place to practice other forms of education if the students so wish to. Also, the location of the college is pretty remote.

not sure about conditions now-a-days, we got some good faculties in our time, we got team-work in laboratories and placements in MNCs. For engineering, Practical experiments are very important and we used to have 4 members (avg.) team for Lab experiments and everyone had required exposure to systems.

A College Not of Your Dream But for Your Need

Ankan Bera

"Our college is ranked as one of the top in our state, It ranks 2nd by the TEQIP (a grant by the world bank). It has a very notable 7:1 teacher student ratio, which means help for a student's every need. The average placement rate is around 60% including all streams. the college also has a library with huge book collection with millions of ebooks to use. due to TEQIP the whole college infrastructure is of high quality with a very well equipped project lab for every stream. PHOENIX, the official Tech Club of the college, dates back to 2006, when seven students formed a platform that would think beyond the academic courses that everyone studies in college. Thus began Phoenix — the Tech Club. Today, every student of NSEC is essentially a member of Phoenix and the Club is well known in other tech colleges of the state."
