To be eligible for the lateral entry program that candidate must have completed his or her diploma with at least 45 percentage and later they need to appear for KCET examination and through counselling they are allotted respective seats. Hii aspirant,
Yes it is certainly possible to change your branch after first year of BTech in RV College of Engineering but it is a very complex procedure. The process by which you can upgrade your seat is through branch migration program which is is held at the end of second semester. In this window seats for one or two percent of the total strength of the branch you are willing to to get into are made available. An application form would be released by the institution and all the students who are willing to get an upgrade are required to the fill the form and on the basis of merit they would be allotted a new seat. It is very important to note that the competition is very tough because everyone wants to get their branch upgraded and therefore you would need to keep your CGPA above 9.5 in order to achieve this. To know about the process and its rule you need to contact the seniors of the college.
Hope it helps!

RV College has a large and modern campus with smart classrooms, advanced labs, and good Wi-Fi access. The library is huge with plenty of books and e-resources. The environment feels professional, giving students real exposure to quality learning facilities.
RVCW boasts modern infrastructure with well equipped classrooms, state of the art labs, spacious hostels and abundant green spaces. it provides a conductive evironment for academic and personal growth.
When I graduated, the ECE building was falling apart. The library was understocked as well. I see they've made improvements recently so its better now. The Wifi was unreliable and the gym was subpar. The labs were well stocked though. The food used to be good in my first year but declined along the way.
