.Infrastructure is actually the college does have most of the equipments but doesn't have certain labs like for physics and chemistry .hostel facilities are not that good doesn't have working water coolers. .and the availability of ramp is not there
I'm a btech student and I'm pursuing mechanical engineering. Quality of teaching is average .yes I think the curriculum is updated And yes it does includes most of the recent developments. I think yes
Placements for branches like safety , electrical engineering and all is actually good But for mechanical and civil the placements are not that good and only above half of the students are getting placed.
The answer would be yes but could do better .
Campus Life is ok but could be more better like could give more support to students, clubs and all
No
Sure, the college has the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Almost all the class rooms are equipped with smart boards and the labs are also adequate. There are mainly libraries two libraries. Cleanliness is something that is completely up to the person, although cleanliness is usually compromised in hostels. The food is okay but dont expect a homely vibe for it.
The teachers are good. But there are gonna be some teachers who wont be that good. there are teachers that are experienced and they will go out of their way to help you out if you approach them. They also make sure to get you upto par with the syllabus
there are good placements in cusat. But ultimately where ones gets placed really depends upon themselves. the higher the gpa, higher chances you will have to get placed in a good company with a good enough package.
There are two types of seats in CUSAT. All india Merit and State merit. State merit seats costs less than all india merit.
Campus life is gonna be good if you're a social person. The overall vibe of the SoE is not that great but the main campus is nice
Infrastructure of classrooms and hostel facilities are ok if you are somebody staying far away from home but i wouldnt say to study here if you want to pay 4.5 lakhs or 2.5 lakhs for your degree, its not worth it. EC and many other branches dont have placements and the only people coming in are for CS and IT and that too very few get placed. Study here if you can get e-grantz (caaue everything from hostel to mess bill will be covered) in that and kind of good exposure if you get the main campus
Teachers teach and leave and might help you to get your papers signed but no other extra support. Not much permanent faculties and if we want to study and earn good marks we can and also sitting for placements and earning a good job is our need, not theirs. There are a few good professers in a few branches but dont expect to score good marks without studying hard.
Placements are going up and down. If this year its good, the coming years might be good and if its bad, it will be bad. Some branches dont evem have placements and maybe Safety and Fire engineering have the most placement rather than technical branches. Not much placement support for most of the branches other than your seniors might refer their company and plead them to come visit our campus. Overall its below average.
Like i said, only study if you are sure you can get some scholarship, otherwise its not worth the money even for the lowest merit (state).
Everything needs permission and not much fun activities in the past few years after the tragic DISHNA and also no I.V in any department so overall only study.
A well developed college infrastructure plays a vital role in shaping the acdemic growth and overall experinece of students. Modern institutions focus on providing an enviornment that support my learn
academics focus on gaining knowledge through structured learning . critical thinking and practical inderstanding , string academics help students build skilld explore interstes and prepare for future
The placement is pretty good. The package are not too high but is quite decent companies visits the the college consuct tests and interviwes and select skilled candidates for roles in thier organizations
It is Actually an amazing college
the best campus life with the sports, culturals and art activities
All essential amenities are met for the most part the toilets are also clean there is ample drinking water available in the campus and also the campus is huge but due to the same expanse there are some black spots also but on the whole this college is very good considering how a government college can get
I am a electronics student, so as far as I am considered the teachers are too good they know the subject most of them are passionate in teaching and are very supportive and yes the syllabus is also updated for the most part it's last updated in 2023 , and yes they make us job ready for the most part and one more thing the syllabus is more to tough than that of the KTU and teachers are strict when it comes to marks to maintain the quality
As an electronics student I have heard that the placements are dwindling but there are also departments with 100% placements ( thats what I heard not completely sure ) and when we look in general the placements are good and generally increasing well better than most of the KTU colleges
As far as a government college is considered 30k per sem and other fees not included is not that good and I do my see the worth of 30k and the government supplies
Don't come here expecting the " Kochi life " you will be dissaponted , come here to study but don't worry there are enjoyments here also what I am telling is that don't expect too much
Pretty decent infrastructure. Good classrooms, renovated buildings, well functioning and fully equipped laboratories, student amenity centers, offers tasty foods in canteen. Near and tidy washrooms. Overall good.
Very updated curriculum. Student friendly, well qualified and trained faculties who are extremely supportive. Classes are taken regularly without fail as it is to be. Overall the college gives an academic vibe.
Placements are pretty average in our ECE department. Average packages ranges from 3 LPA to 9 LPA. Over 70 percent of overall students got placed last year. Placements cell is very active and supports our bright future.
Good infrastructure. Student friendly and smart classrooms. Very soothing and motivating environment. Restrooms to occupy the required number of people, sickroom, labs, faculty rooms are various other features.
Well trained and qulaified teachers who are extremely friendly and teach their lessons properly by preparing the required stuff before hand. The curriculum we follow is upto date and very well balanced between thoery and practical knowledge.
Decent amount of students get placed from here. Packages range from 4 LPA to 10LPA. Our placement cell is very active and the coordinators are very enthusiastic about our future and are a great support. Top companies come and recruite from ojr college.
Yes absolutely a value for money institution.
A very good institution.
Has a decent infrastructure and a student friendly campus. Good ambience, motivating environment, renovated buildings, well lit smar classrooms, restrooms enough to fit the necessities of the students and the teachers. Canteen is also very good and hygenic.
Very well qualified, well trained and professional faculties in both core subjects and the rest of the subjects. The Principal, HODs, and all the other faculty members are very student friendly and teach in very understandable way.
Decent placements ranging from 4 to 12 LPA in mechanical department. The placement cell is very active. Companies often reach out to our university as it has NBA accreditation, and is an esteemed university.
Yes it is completely value for money and gives us a healthy enjoyable campus life.
Campus life is top notch and trust me it is worthing studying in this college for its outstanding campus environment.
It is a very good college, where we can find many friends from different regions of India and even from foreign countries. Friendly teachers and a healthy campus life will make our live twice as joyful.
Cochin University , environment was really too good friendly as whole campus is full of Greenery a comprehensive good library with the faculty of high Wi-fi in whole campus sports complex are also there for different sports and basketball badminton and many more they are Cafeterias and seminar halls as well.
Cochin University, teacher are all good but they are nit present in the class at time they should know there value and the value of time . Teacher are all good and well educated and all . Education is provided perfectly
Placement in Cochin University is not good at all they should maintain everything student should be maintained too. Students are frustrated by their placements . Other is is good to study in this collage we get time for us.
Yes college is value for money.
Campus Life was really nice.
Nothing
The hostel facility is pretty good, but there are so many rules that you want to enter the hostel before 9 p.m. Mess is also good, so many varieties of food are available compared to other college food, and the facilities of hostels are good, but many students take rental houses.
The faculty were experts in their respective subjects, and good support is provided to the students. The teaching faculty was also good. Some special tasks are assigned to the students to upgrade their skills. Semester-end exams are a little bit hard for me, but if we study regularly, then they will be easy.
For the placement purpose, some exams are conducted and some CRT classes are done. Around 60% - 80% are placed. The highest package is 40lpa, the lowest package is 2.5lpa and the average package is 7lpa. Top recruiting companies are infosys, amazon, tcs, Capgemini others.
Good college.

Hello Aspirant.
National institute of technology(s) (NITs) are among of the most esteemed universities of our nation. There must be several other institutions that are way ahead in terms of education than NIT but college of engineering Ernakulam can't be considered more effective than NIT(s).
Best of luck !
