You can justify by above works for your gap, however the interviewer may still ask why you did not go for a full time job in a firm. So be prepared for that. Apart from this focus primarily on your cat preparation

I don't think so that this is a problem. Because you have been very active in your drop year so you have a lot of things to say to the interviewer. 

You can easily make this situation a very positive thing on your interview.

To get admission in top IIM's you need more than 99.5 percentile and otherwise try to score above 96 percentile.

Also it depends upon your past academic background as well.

Hi basant, if you want to know the process. You'll have to fill in the application form costing 1000, then give cat, if you clear their cutoff 97%ile+ for gen category, you will receive a call. You have to travel to their campus in mumbai and clear GD and interview rounds and then get admission. will cost you 20 lacs in 2 years. MBA in marketing is the best. Great placements. Emphasis on profile especially extracurriculars.
