I would recommend SV University College of Engineering and below I am mentioning the utmost details to my knowledge :-

Pros(regarding department):

  • Chemical engineering in SVU started from 1977. Many batches got graduated are very well settled(some of them have their own companies) and we have a strong alumni interaction.
  • The department consists of 4 lecture halls, 8 laboratories including a computer center, departmental library and a workshop.
  • The curriculum set for this course is very planned and I can say that it's on par with IITs.
  • New and innovative projects are about to take place , some have already started (for instance the present final year students are working on synthesis of mango vine via fermentation).
  • The departmental building being isolated unlike other departments has an added advantage.

Student achievements are noteworthy:

  1. Two startups popped from our batch.
  2. Our seniors have bagged many of top ranks in gate(2009 AIR 1)
  • Faculty is cooperative and encouraging.
  • The central and departmental libraries have good collection of standard chemical engineering text and reference books.

Cons :

  • Very less number of faculty 1 professor and two assistant professors. Only a minimal amount is taught in classroom and rest is highly expected to learn on your own.
  • Core placements are highly probabilistic and cannot be expected every year.
  • Every year around 8–9 non core companies visit for placements but chemical engineering students are eligible for one or two to apply.
  • The grading system is tough and you cannot expect percentage as high in JNTUs.
  • Results are released with much delay. For example you'll get to know your first semester results in your third semester. Moreover , one cannot write backlogs in the next consequent semester as in JNTU. One has to wait an year to attempt the exam and one more year to know the result. Final year students have some exception.

In a nut shell , though it has some demerits, SVU is a place to learn and enjoy and students (at least for boys) get to taste unlimited freedom

JNTU is a much recent college compared to SVU but in case of CSE any college can fetch you placement.

Hey!

As per your general rank you can get JNTUH College of Engineering, Hyderabad but not with computer science and engineering also, your category rank might not help you to grab this seat. But once you get admission, you can upgrade your seat or change your streamm by scoring good marks in 1st semester or year.

You have chances to get seat in Osmania University. And by comparing these two colleges , it is concluded that JNTUH offers good placement opportunities when compared to Osmania. To know more, kindly visit the link given below:

hello,

No you can't do that. If you leave current college then   you have to pay high amount penalty. Admission to 2nd year is given to lateral entry candidate who holds diploma degree. Not given to normal candidates who opt after intermediate.

If you join then you will get admission in 1st year only. Process is same for everyone and as you took admission and if you leave then you have to repeat the whole process again which you have been through.

Hope it helps!
