The college infrastructure has all the basic technology and devices required for engineering students in any branch. The number of students studying in the university is large and are supported well by the infrastructure.
The courses offered are up-to-date and required in the current market and industry. Although the evaluation and quality of teaching vary greatly and mostly falls short. Sometimes the students are given multiple tasks or projects that over burdens them.
The placements are organized and managed by an independent body of the university which tries their best to provide students with opportunities. Though competition for placements is high and requires students to be dedicated from the beginning.
The infrastructure is very well established and has all the facilities for a mechatronics engineer and of other engineering domains and the best part is that one can use all their f it under the guidance of a professor for self improvement. The living spaces are also clean and wonderful.
The academic part of the college is also very flexible and at the same time helps implement the knowledge in the minds of those completing the courses. The subjects can be chosen as per the students wish apart from the mandatory ones and that helps a lot.
The placements is one of the top reasons for being in this college. Even the training of the placements is very good and the number of companies to select from is very vivid, there by giving us a lot of choices.
It is value for money as well as the hostel the college and lab infrastructures are exceptional and that all the lecturers all have phd's and that is good value for money as they have a ton of knowledge on display which a boon to all those who study here.
The campus life is one to look forward to as it has everything from studies to research to sports and with lots of stores and canteens and the culture of the residents is very diverse as there are people from multiple fronts of life. So there's lot to learn and enjoy from.
Nothing other than the fact that the college is really good for those aspirants who would love to gets their hands all in into the depths of engineering from whatever background or course they have chosen.
The college is well maintained and hygienic and it has all the required architecture for an engineering student such as Libraries , labs for different subjects , high end equipment's and powerful computers to run large and hardware intensive tasks.
I am currently studying BTech CSE. The teaching is of good quality. Teachers have good knowledge about the subjects they are teaching. The curriculum is up to date with the industry standards with a hands on practical application.
There are a lot of many placement opportunities and they help us with by building our portfolios and projects. They provide us with the required training as well in terms of aptitude and programming.
Yes its definitely value for money.
Campus life is refreshing has a lot of fun clubs and the activities conducted by them helps us bond with others.
We have new Academic Blocks. We have supermarket, bank, salon, Domino's, Gymkhana, gazebo. Hostel is decent. Security is good. Hostel wardens are friendly. We have playgrounds and swimming pool. There's gym too.
The faculties are good and supportive. They encourage in projects and research work. We can choose our own faculties here for every sem. The timings are flexible. You have the option to migrate after 1st year if your cgpa is 9+
Placements are good. A lot of companies come. Fair chance is given to everyone. college sends a lot of reminder mails for placements. Good packages are offered. Placement training is given. pre final year internship offers are given
Yes this is value for money.
The campus life has been pleasant.
All the best to the incoming students
The overall infrastructure of the college is very good and well maintained. The pathways is covered with a canopy to protect us from sun and rain. The hostel has WiFi access. There are lifts in all the buildings as all the buildings are tall. There is all kinds of laboratory available related to engineering.
I am majoring in electrical and electronics engineering. The teachers have a very good knowledge of the courses they teach and often prepare presentation for the syllabus they teach. The curriculum is very updated. The teachers are also very updated.
They have a very good placement record. There are many companies which come for campus interview. Around 90 to 95 percent student are placed every year. The average package offered would be around 6 - 10 LPA. The college gives basic training regarding placement and interview.
I was able to do my course in 1.75 lakhs per year. My fee depended on the rank I got during their entrance exam. The experience and knowledge I gained are definitely worth the money I spent.I gained so many wonderful memories.
Campus Life is very wonderful. The college is pretty strict regarding their code of conduct. But the college has many clubs and activities conducted by these clubs. Since the college has a very diverse population of students it is easy to feel lonely but you can always find someone with same interests as you. The campus is in a safe and secluded location.
The College almost has all the proper infrastructure but a few areas have been under construction for a while since it is being expanded to accommodate the students. The labs and all the facilities in the academic blocks are very good.
I am studying computer science engineering. The curriculum is updated and up to date. The course I have taken alone cannot make me job-ready. The quality of teaching depends on the faculty taken and most faculty are very much into researching and will encourage you to do so as well.
The placements for the previous years have slowly gone down but compared to most of the other colleges , the rate of placements and the CTC has increased even with the recession. The average salary offered was around 9LPA.
Coming to the course fee, I do think that the amount paid reflects on the quality of education received. However, I cannot say the same thing about the hostels. I find that there is a big scope for improvement.
Campus life is decent as I personally have made friends that I can say will be lifelong friends. Events and festivities are always taking place so there is always something happening at all corners of the campus.
VIT Chennai is renowned for its excellence and innovation in research. It's consistently ranked among the top engineering institutes in India.
The college infrastructure is impressive, providing all the necessary facilities for students. While the campus Wi-Fi can occasionally be slow, the overall environment remains conducive to learning. The living spaces are consistently clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic living experience.
The academic environment at the college is overall good. The curriculum is well-structured, regularly updated, and challenging enough to ensure a comprehensive learning experience. It goes beyond just theory, emphasizing practical application through projects and internships, which are crucial for real-world readiness. However, the quality of education can sometimes depend on the faculty chosen.
Irrespective of the ongoing recession, placements for the 2024 batch were commendable. This success can be attributed to the college's proactive approach in involving students in various activities, including clubs, seminars, and competitions, as well as projects and internships. These experiences ensure that students are well-prepared and competitive in the job market.
The annual cost amounts to approximately 3.5 lakhs, with 2 lakhs allocated for tuition and the remaining for hostel fees. This can vary based on the length of the semesters. While it can be a bit costly, it offers good value for money given the quality of education and facilities provided. However, the food in the hostel could be improved.
The college campus is lively with events like Technovit and Vibrance, celebrating culture and talent. Students enjoy participating in clubs, making the campus dynamic. Teachers are friendly and supportive, creating a positive learning environment. Located in a safe area, the college focuses on student safety, though emergency preparedness could be improved.
VIT Chennai excels in research, with many student and faculty papers published, showing a strong focus on academic excellence. While the college provides essential resources, our success depends on how actively we engage with opportunities. Events like Technovit and Vibrance enrich our learning experience. With a supportive faculty and a safe campus, VIT Chennai offers a conducive environment for both academic and personal growth. It's up to us to make the most of these opportunities.
Yes, the basic facilities are available. Multiple buildings are still under construction. Rest all the facilities are up to mark. Laboratory facilities are good including the equipments and devices. All the facilities are well maintained.
Academics is fine. The syllabus is up to date. There are a few subjects that need a slight update, apart from it all the other things are up to the mark. The quality of the teaching is also good. Overall the curriculum is maintained well.
The placements are good. This year itself the placements were fine. Specially in my branch the placements went well with many offers from various companies including Intel. More than half of the students have already been placed and the placements are still going on.
The academic fees for me is around 1.6 lakhs per annum. On top of that, there are other expenditures added like hostel and mess charges. Transportation is also a major expense. Yes I personally feel that it is overall a value for money.
The campus life is okay. There are a few restrictions on hostellers, but I feel because of the large population it is justifiable. It is absolutely safe inside the campus irrespective of the gender. There are 2 health centers inside the campus that are necessary to handle emergencies.
Currently, the campus is good with multiple buildings still under construction. Once the infrastructure is complete, it will be even better.
Great infrastructure and campus life except for the hostel rules which i found to be archaic and conservative. The lab equipments are maintained well and all are accessible. Great for people who are research oriented.
This is where VIT excels with its Fully flexible credit system. One can set the course as per his requirements given that he meets a certain conditions. The curriculum ensured a holistic approach to your engineering degree and the faculty is well qualified. Would prefer a more interactive approaches in certain courses.
Great for certain branches and again it largely depends on the state of economy and that's a whole different picture. As far as the quality of placements depends upon the branch there are cases where one has to make do with jobs from the non core sector.
Great infrastructure, great campus life and a beach within the reach. Pondy is a few hours away. With respect to the amount of networking one can do and the connections you make along the way, you stand to gain more.
Except for the curfew and strict hostel rules, campus life is great with events all year round.
the campus life is very good. The overall infrastructure is very good as we have a big library, a swimming pool and huge hostels. there are lot of things you can do in campus from sports to extracurricular activities to all the possible clubs. There are a lot of events that happen on a daily basis. Everyday some club has organized a competition. You can take part in all of them. the clubs also take you out on different places like hiking to beach. there is fast wifi in hostel. overall the hostel is very clean
i have chosen the course b.tech in computer science as I have interest in computer science and it has very good opportunities. The faculty in vit chennai are very good. Most of them are very well experienced like above 15-20 years. Most of the teachers have very good teaching methods, all of them have adopted to online as well. The semester exams and the exams in between semesters all happen timely and the difficulty level is not too difficult. Some times because of the covid the exams are scheduled differently as they are cramped in a small time frame but have gone back to happen properly.
the placements in vit chennai is very good around 70-80 percent students get placed. The college provides around 100+ companies for placement. All the big name companies do come in vit like google, microsoft, amazon and delloit. total number of offers made are around 5000. the highest package ever in vit chennai was 1.5 cr given to 2 students. Average package is around 7 lakhs. You can go for off campus placement too but once you get placed you can't side for interview for more companies. Even when other colleges companies dont come in vit every company comes and takes a decent amount of students. My plans after getting a degree finding a good placement and working there.
the course costed around 4 lakhs per year. overall it was worth it if you get placed.
the overall life in campus is very good. There are two major fests that happen yearly those are TechnoVIT and Vibrance. In technoVit its more about different hackathons and competitions. In vibrance its more cultural and dance as many famous celebrities perform in it. Like Sonu nigam and Shreya goshal. There is a huge 3 floor library inside the campus, all the books are available. For sports there is a football ground, cricket nets, volleyball courts, badminton courts and swimming pool. There are a lots of clubs here from Microsoft, to Google app dev to NSS to NCC all the possible clubs you can imagine of are here.
