Yes , our college has all necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Library has a rich collaboration of 100000 publication including books , journals , reference materials . proper and modernized classroom with projectors & smart board and fixed benches . Wifi facilities is also pretty good ,whole campus is coverd by wifi zone and which is fully free and full authorised by VC. All living space neet and clean and hygienic food service also provide by college .
I am B. Tech student and preparing myself for the corporate sector. My goal is to reach my peak level of success.teaching quality is overall good . Our college has top class faculty staff who is professional in thier fields. Our curriculum is well updated include all recent developments and they study makes us for job.
The quality of placements is average yet but they are working on improvement. There were 80 students in MBA batch , 60 students were placed. The highest salary package is 16 lakh/Annual . The average salary is around to 30k - 60k per / month.placement process is normal with college support.
The cost of the course per year is Rs 150000 thousand per year. If we compare all the facilities with other colleges then it is the lowest cost. College gives a great overall experience and other opportunities like jobs and they teach soft skills. In that case I think the money is worth it.
The college campus is good. The main thing is that students learn soft skills, behaviour, attitude, etiquette. The college provides many facilities to the students like medical is free for both boys and girls and transport is free for girls.
My experience was very good in my college.
VIT, CHENNAI have all necessary infrastructure, all facilities, and provided with all equipment. we have many facilitites in our classroom provided with demo classes in every class and we have a number of academic blocks, laboratories provided with many facilities, Peaceful library to study, and provided many facilities for extracurricular activities and good, clean, and hygienen hostels and all are used and well maintained.
coming to academics it was really nice provided with huge no. of opportunities. The quality of teaching is so good and we have provided with highly experienced faculties and I have joined for good placement review from VIT, chennai. yes the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field
we have huge number of opportunities regarding placements! and our college has high reputation regarding placements. and VIT CHENNAI has 100% placement guarantee and highest package can be 1cr and majorly the high packages would be from Computer science and engineering and the placement process is easy and very supportive for placements and higher studies as well
For category - 1 it costs 1,98,000 and yes definitely worth it! with no doubt and the fee vary depending on the rank you get and the category. it was worth because vit , chennai provides you many many opportunities other than academics. not just in academics you can ace in every field and vit, chennai is very supportive for that
NA
I am totally satisfied with the infrastructure of my college. It is well-maintained and provides students with the resources they need to succeed. The laboratories are well-equipped with the latest equipment and the classrooms are well-maintained and spacious library is a great resource for students, with a wide collection of books, journals The college has a variety of sports facilities, including a football field, a basketball court.
I've done B-tech in computer science, All the teachers are expert in their field and well qualified to teach us, our carricuum is also updated and includes recent development in the field of study, it is perfect to make us job ready.
Yes our placement is one of the things that I'm proud of, In the 2023 placement season, the highest salary package offered was INR 1.02 crore per annum, while the average salary package was INR 9.23 lakhs per annum. A total of 14345 offers were made to VIT students, including 4461 super dream offers, 3453 dream offers, 624 marque offers, and 6431 regular offers.
It is worth every penny that you spend, Just make it a learning experience and believe me you'll have bright future
It's amazing to say the least, Campus life in VIT is vibrant and exciting. There are a variety of activities and events that students can participate in, both academic and extracurricular. Some of the academic activities that students can participate in include: Technical fests:These fests provide students with opportunities to showcase their technical skills and compete with students from other colleges.Research: has a strong research culture, and students can participate in research projects
Overall life in our college can be summarized as challenging yet exciting. The academic curriculum is rigorous, but the college provides a lot of support to students to help them succeed. There are also a variety of extracurricular activities and events that students can participate in, which makes campus life vibrant and exciting.
It has good infrastructure and well equiped it has all facilities and classroom is well maintained with projectors and smart boards library is good has all the sport facilities wifi is little slow but ok it has a good ambience and greenery all around.
I was interested in electronics and i got it but the quality of teaching is good but not so good .The curriculum is regularly updated especially the lab sessions which makes understanding better.Especially The STS course makes thr students feel that what they study is job ready.
The quality is of supreme quality in VIT chennai.100% placement was recorded last yr and rhe highest salary package offered was 1.03 cr, which was bagged up by a student of csc core department. The avg salary offered was 9.03l.p.a across all departments
Since i was a student of 2nd category fee payment i payed about 3l.p.a for my course i have seen that its good to go upto 2nd category fee payment in VIT chennai for a good experience .
The campus is fully green and sports quality is good students can engage in various clubs as there are 100+ clubs in college which helps students to learn a lot other than the syellebus.Teachers and support staffs are good but not too good. The location is slightly outer of the city but safe.the college has a health centre inside which operates 24/7 and provide 3 ambulances to nearest hospital in case of emergency which makes me feel that it can handel emergency in a good way.
My clg has all the necessary facilities and equipments.thw infrastructure is quite authentic and clean. The classrooms are smart and the labs are super effective with good quality elements. Library is the key , its too good to explore.specialised PE dept for sports and hostels are clean and maintained well. The living spaces are clean but the food provided in the hostel mess is not too good.
Im studying btech ece . The quality of teaching according to my view is that it depends upon the teacher selected.the curriculum is regularly updated .i feel that what iam studying makes me job ready.which makes me feel better living in this environment.
The placement is super dooper. 100% placement is recorded last year. The highest salary offered was 1.03 crores ,which was offered to a student of cs core dept.the avg salary is 9.03 lpa across all depts.
My course was 3 lpa. I do feel that the money spent by me is worth as it has all the amenities and facilities i expected.
The campus life is just awesome... The best feature is that you can see a lot of food options in the campus , the worst is that the prices of the food served are a bit higher than normal. Students can engage in various sports activities and clubs as there are 100 + clubs. The teachers and support staffs are good , but again it depends on the teachers that individuals choose.the location is slightly outer from the city.the campus has a health centre and 3 ambulances working 24/7 .
The campus started in 2010 and it has developed a lot since 12 years. The campus is 195 acre with 4 hostel (3 men's and 1 girls block) 3 Academic block vmart, gazebo and many more. Wifi works 18 hours with good speed. We have football ground cricket, lawn tennis, badminton, basketball grounds. We have 3 floored well infrastructured library. Mess food is fine and hygiene and every block mess handled by two different caterers.
I am studying in Computer science Engineering specialization cyber physical system. Modern curriculum is been followed by all our faculty and everything is updated well explained with practical knowledge. Yes absolutely the study makes us job ready. The faculty are helpful understanding and nice by nature.
Placement in VIT is 100 percent. But the thing that matter is weather u getting core companies or not. Mostly company comes to VIT with 6 to 20 LPA in VIT and competition for getting job is fierce. And different branches have there different packages like electric and communication are if 2 LPs to 10 lpa and it goes on to all the branches. There are almost 1000 aspiring students for a company that will take 2 to 3 students so everything matters on probability.
My course cost per year is around 3 lakhs and it's absolutely worth it. The way they teach with all practical knowledge and the efforts they make with us to achieve the success is absolutely great and worth. And finally all depends on our and your hardwork which leads to success and value of money as Return of investment.
Good campus life with frndly people surrounding with lots of greenary tress and plants. Gazebo north square, Gymkhana, Domino's makes more great to our campus life as we all students are foodys. We have play grounds we have clubs with many different activities like tresure hunts and all. Clock court is best place for get together with ur mates and frnds.
Good infrastructure in the college. Nice laboratories with all modern equipments. Lots of new hostels and academic blocks are under construction presently which will improve overall infrastructure facilities further.
All faculties are PhD holders and most are thorough with their subject knowledge. Although research and project opportunities could be better imo. Definitely one of best colleges in India in terms of academics atleast.
I heard from seniors that placements are pretty good with average package of 7-8 Lpa. Offers are divided into 3 types- regular, dream and super dream offer with <6lpa, 6-10lpa and >10lpa respectively.
There are various scholarship categories in VIT. Category 1 and 2 are definitely worth the money. The other categories can be taken if u want a particular branch only during councelling. Otherwise college is very good.
Clean classrooms and hostels. Quality complaints are taken seriously. Numerous facilities available for sports and skill enhancement. Wifi limit is high (100gb per month) but speeds require improvement (4 Mbps).
Curriculum is decent but a few subjects require fine tuning in terms of the project component inclusion and exclusion. Practical skills and aptitude taught as well. Currently pursuing AI and ML specialization, course is decent but requires tuning. We are the first batch however.
Regular emails regarding opportunities, interviews, hackathons, competitions, etc. Plenty of chances to get placed. Placement are good, generally 4-5 lacs minimum and 8+ lacs for dream offers. Students can attend interviews and obtain experience.
Multiple categories available based on VITEEE rank. Hostel and mess fees are nominal.
Campus is rich, vibrant with multiple facilities, such as gym, swimming pool, basketball court, football fields, etc. Lots of places to hangout, teachers are approachable, and anti ragging measures in ppace
infrastructure, faculty and other guidance is really very good and wifi, spaces they are very amazing, labs and sports activities are well and food is also very good in quality and it's hygienic as well.
exposure is maximum which helps a lot, I'm currently studying electronics and communication and the quality is pretty well, faculties really take an effort and our curriculum gets updated on frequent time intervals.
placement office and the rate of placement is pretty nice and vellore and Chennai sit for placements together, the highest package is 48+lpa and even the average students gets a package of 15+lpa and it's worth it
yeah sure I'm getting my money's worth by looking at the effort which university is taking in our development it is really worth it and by applying for internships it's the cherry on top and it's very good.
it is amazing, sports, gym, swimming area everything is well settled and even food locations are really good and yes the location is safe and it sure can handle many emergencies no doubt in that and teachers are very supportive.
nothing in specific but yes one must should really consider in coming to this college and never miss this golden opportunity cause towards the end it'll be worth all the money and effort one will be giving.
College provide all types of books in library, valuable courses. Everything is present in campus. All types of equipments that are required for experiments are also provided. Hostel is clean and mess food is also heigenic. Free Wifi is provided in hostel.
I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Engineering in VIT, Chennai. College staff is too good. Curriculum is also updated abd university also focuses on extra co-curricular activities and on practical knowledge.
Highest package offered was of 41lpa and avg package was 7.8 lpa for last year. This year's placement process is in progress. 86% of students were placed talking about all branches. Many students got internship in 2nd year and pre placement offers too.
Fee for 1st category is fine but I think fee from 2nd category is too high.
Teaching staff really support us. Everything that we need in daily life and stationary products are available in 200 acre campus. Talking on safety, no any student is permitted to go out of campus without proctor's permission. You are more safe than you home.
Dear aspirant,
Well, for placements, a B.Tech in IT/CSE from VIT Chennai is often considered a better option for placements than a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Thapar. While Thapar has a good reputation, VIT Chennai's strong placement record in IT/CSE, especially with higher packages, often makes it a more better choice for students pursuing these fields.
Thank you.
Hello,
Between VIT Chennai and SRM Kattankulathur for Electronics Engineering with VLSI specialisation, VIT Chennai is generally better in terms of:
Placements: VIT has a slightly better placement record, especially for core electronics and VLSI roles.
Core companies: More core and semiconductor companies like Intel, NXP, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments tend to visit VIT (mostly Vellore, but some do come to Chennai as well).
Reputation: VIT has better industry recognition and alumni network in the core field.
So, if you are focused on VLSI and core job roles, VIT Chennai is a better option than SRM Kattankulathur .
Hope it helps !
With a VITEEE 2025 rank of 54,067, your prospects for securing ECE (Electronics & Communication Engineering) or EEE (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) at VIT Chennai under Category 3 fall into the “possible but not guaranteed” range. Statistically, EEE tends to have a slightly higher cutoff than ECE, so your chances there are marginally better. Securing ECE is more competitive, and would likely require the cutoff to shift higher than in previous years.
Should Category 3 not be available to you, Categories 4 and 5 remain options, though these will involve a significantly higher fee structure.
Recommended steps:
- Actively participate in Phase 2 counselling. Early engagement can make a difference.
- Prioritize ECE as your first choice, with EEE as a backup, and submit your Chennai campus preferences promptly.
Please bear in mind that Category 3 fees are substantially higher than those for Categories 1 or 2. Seat allocation also varies annually, based on applicant numbers, their preferences, and dropout rates.
For more precise, data-driven guidance, you might consider using the VITEEE College Predictor offered by Careers360. If you require assistance comparing ECE and EEE or evaluating campuses, further guidance is available. https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/viteee-college-predictor
