Hello aspirant I am here for helping you.
As you know 85% seats of DTU are reserved for Delhi students and rest 15% are for non-delhi resedence so, competition is very high there for non-delhi  students because number of students are very much but seats available are less .
If you are expecting any core branch like CSE,IT, mechanical, electrical, electronic etc. And you are from General /OBC  so it may little bit difficult for you to have admission because students with rank around 10k get admission with many difficulties,
For having admission in non-core branch you can have with around 3k-4k rank and if you are from SC/ST category then it becomes little bit easy as compared to above cases.
So the only way is to swamped , don't waste do hard work and score good .

• One needs to take the JEE (Main) (https://www.collegepravesh.com/entrance-exams/jee-main/) exam.
• One also needs to secure at least 60% marks (55% for OBC-NCL, 50% for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII.
• Admissions are done on the basis of rank in JEE (Main) (https://www.collegepravesh.com/entrance-exams/jee-main/) through JAC Delhi Counselling (https://www.collegepravesh.com/admissions/jac-delhi/) .

If we consider the previous year cut off for DTU  for Delhi  student then we can clearly see that the closing rank was around 57 thousand.

So try to score these much marks and you will definitely be able to get into DTU

DTU is Delhi oldest engineering college who rank in India's prestigious college ,I think DTU have great exposure to their students .

It depends what other choices you have instead of DTU

But yes DTU mechanical is pretty well and DTU has best faculty in mechanical branch even the availability of machines and equipments are good

For getting admission into nsit or dtu you need to have atleast 60% in aggregate in physics chemistry and maths and English as compulsory subject. So in your case you are eligible for admissions in nsit or dtu.

To get CSE  seat in NSIT delhi,you need General category rank 2.3k and 6k rank for DTU..For such rank you to score 99.6+ Percentile in jee mains..And in terms of score you need 200+ marks this year..This may change as above score is predicted based on Previous year of jee trends..

The admission procedure in the dtu will be based on the jee main CRL rank.
Prospective candidates are required to fill a single online application form on the website to participate in the centralized counseling under JAC Delhi- 2020.
And 85% of the seats will reserved for Delhi region candidates.
And the in take will be based upon the number of applications and determined cut off

There no such thing as minimum marks can be Predicted. Every year the cutoff varies it depends on no. Of applicants and difficulty level of exam. More the Candidate interested higher the cutoff will be. Seeing the previous year cutoffs NSIT and DTU as well You need to at least 200+ For CSE. Focus on scoring more to increase your chances.
