Hello Aspirant...

Your jee mains general category rank must be under 10000 in order to gain admission and a guaranteed seat at DTU. That means your jee mains score must be above the 99.2 percentile.

Your jee mains rank must be less than 2800, or greater than 99.8%ile score, to be considered for top branches at DTU.

The highest cutoff closing rank for general category students at DTU last year was - 11137. ( in round 4 for environmental engineering).

So, even to get these lesser branches, your jee mains score must be over the 99th percentile, or at least 150 points.

I hope it helps.

Regards.

Dear aspirant,

As you have mentioned that you have secured 94 percentile in JEE mains and yaking into consideration you belong to obc category and your home state is delhi so let me tell you that your predicted rank as.per my prediction will be 45-50k.

So in this rank you can hope for production , biotechnology or any lower branches. Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college previous years cut offs.

Hello aspirant

Hope you are doing great there . According to the percentile score mentioned by you above , your predicted CRL rank lies somewhere around 81840 - 92000 . There is no such regular trend followed in the cut off of defence category . But the previous year cut off suggest that you can get a seat there .  Preference will be given to priority VI students

Hey Aspirant,

Unfortunately at this rank in JEE mains you won't be able to get into DTU mechanical engineering. But you might be able to get CIVIL Engineering in DTU and you can get it changed by scoring good in 1st year.  Also if you want there are many other good colleges too,  you can try them too.

I hope this helps!!

Hey Aspirant,

It is tough when it comes to choose one among DTU or NSUT , both are really good colleges. Now I would recommend you NSUT ITNS , the reason being that it has the better ranking than DTU also , athe branch ITNS has only been introduced last year . It is basically IT with more emphasis on network security,  encryption,  etc. Also NSUT has always been ahead of DTU in terms of Placement and academic results.

I hope this helps!!

Dear candidate, yes with this rank you can easily get into one of these prestigious colleges only if you are asking about engineering. You can also get home state quota and already have PWD. It's easier for you to getting admitted into this college.

Hello,

You haven't mentioned your home state. Considering the previous cut off you do not have chances to get seat in DTU or NSUT if you are outside Delhi. Admission in to DTU and NSUT is based on All India Rank in JEE Main. If you belong to Delhi then here is the list of branches in which you may get seat

DTU

  • Engineering Physics
  • Civil Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Production & Industrial Engineering

NSUT

  • Mechanical Engineering (ME)
  • Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Bio-Technology

The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

My overall experience till now is good

College Infrastructure

The college's infrastructure is good, but it could be better. Specially, the walls need to be repainted. The building has started to look old and has blackened. Other than that, the infrastructure is satisfactory.

DTU is one of the best engineering college in India
